Texas Football: 35 FBS teams who the Longhorns are undefeated against

In Texas Longhorns history there are 35 FBS teams who still have yet to win against the boys in burnt orange.

Big Ten (27-13 All-Time)

The Longhorns have played a total of 40 games against the Big Ten and they have a winning record overall. However, five of those teams haven’t been able to best Texas in nine attempts. Wisconsin and Michigan being the only two that had one shot. The one against Michigan was a memorable one back in the 2004 season. The Longhorns outscored these five teams 264-123.

Indiana (3-0)

  • 1940 in Bloomington: 13-6
  • 1965 in Austin: 27-12
  • 1966 in Austin: 35-0

Michigan (1-0)

  • 2004 Rose Bowl: 38-37

The Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines both have storied histories. They met for the first time in the 2004 season at the Rose Bowl. Texas would fall behind 31-21 heading into the fourth quarter. Vince Young’s two touchdown runs gave the Longhorns a one point lead before a Michigan field goal put Texas behind late in the game. Dusty Mangum stepped onto the field to boot his only field goal of the game that gave the Longhorns the win 38-37.

This would mark the first of two consecutive Rose Bowl MVP honors for Vince Young. He returned to Pasadena the following year and well, you know the rest.
