Texas drops six spots in latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll

Texas tumbles in the rankings after a disappointing loss to Oklahoma State.

After a disappointing 51-64 loss to Oklahoma State on Jan. 8, the Longhorns dropped six spots in the latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Chris Beard’s squad now sits with an overall record of 12-3 and is 2-1 in Big 12 conference play. Surprisingly, Texas is 10-0 at home and 1-3 on the road.

Next up on the schedule is a home matchup with Oklahoma on Jan. 11, followed up an away trip to No. 15 Iowa State on Jan. 15.
