Texans claim Chiefs DT Taylor Stallworth off waivers, drop DE Michael Dwumfour

The Houston Texans have claimed former Kansas City Chiefs DT Taylor Stallworth off waivers and waived DE Michael Dwumfour.

The Houston Texans continue to refine their roster with five games to go in the regular season.

The Texans made a waiver claim for former Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth. The 6-2, 305-pounder played six games for the Chiefs in 2022, logging four combined tackles on 53 defensive snaps.

Stallworth spent 32 games with the Indianapolis Colts from 2020-21 and generated 16 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hits, a pass breakup, and a fumble recovery.

Prior to the Colts, Stallworth was with the New Orleans Saints from 2018-19, where tallied 11 tackles, 1.0 sack, a tackle for loss, and a quarterback hit through 18 games.

The Texans played Dwumfour in seven games in 2022, where he produced six tackles and three quarterback hits with his 198 defensive snaps. Houston also played Dwumfour during 18 special teams snaps.
