The Rock is starring in a new MMA film, The Smashing Machine, and fans are buzzing about new photos released from the set because he looks totally unrecognizable.
Rock portrays MMA fighter Mark Kerr as he navigates his career, love, friendship and other life hurdles. According to Ethan Shanfeld of Variety, the long-time actor revealed earlier this year that he wanted to challenge himself in a way he hadn’t, saying, “I want to make films that matter, that explore a humanity and explore struggle [and] pain.”
Well, not only did he get out of his typical movie comfort zone, but it’s hard to tell that it’s him in the pictures. I mean, really, WHO IS THIS GUY, AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE ROCK?!
