Tennessee baseball wins at Alabama to open SEC play.

No. 6 Tennessee (18-1, 1-0 SEC) defeated No. 12 Alabama (15-3, 0-1 SEC), 11-3, Friday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to open SEC play.

Friday’s win is Tennessee’s 17th consecutive.

Blake Burke went 3-for-5, recording one home run, three runs and two RBIs for Tennessee. Dylan Dreiling went 2-for-4 and totaled one home run, one triple, two runs and two RBIs for the Vols.

Billy Amick went 2-for-3 and scored two runs, while Kavares Tears went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBIs for Tennessee.

Tennessee recorded 12 hits in the contest.

AJ Causey started and pitched 6.2 innings for the Vols. He allowed two runs, six hits and one walk, while recording eight strikeouts.
