Wisconsin has officially accepted a bid to play in the 2023 NIT. While it wasn’t the result Badger fans were hoping for down the stretch, Wisconsin will still be playing basketball and still have a chance to win a postseason tournament.

The Badgers get things started on Tuesday night as they host Bradley at the Kohl Center.

There are a number of usual NCAA tournament regulars in this year’s edition, including Michigan and Oklahoma State. A Michigan-Wisconsin matchup in the championship game? Yes, we are rooting for that too.

Wisconsin’s 43-42 win over Dayton provided some statistical shocks, but it all ended in a Badger victory.

There are final numbers from this game you simply don’t see in a win, but you might see in a lopsided loss. We will dig into some of those numbers in just a second.

With the win, Wisconsin improved to 4-0 and will meet Kansas tomorrow morning in The Bahamas. Here is a look at five wild stats from the win:

After the game, Davis was asked by Wisconsin basketball about the trip and the win. Here is what the rising junior had to say:

He spent 2005-09 as a player at Wisconsin before beginning his coaching career on Bo Ryan’s staff as the video coordinator in the 2012-13 season. Here is a look at Krabbenhoft during Badger practice as Wisconsin gets ready to open their season on Friday with an exhibition matchup against UW-Whitewater at the Kohl Center:

WATCH: Sam Dekker catches fire in final Toronto Raptors preseason game

Sam Dekker impresses in his final preseason audition with the Toronto Raptors

For Sam Dekker, Tuesday night was not only a final audition for the Toronto Raptors but one for the league as a whole as the former Badger tries to resolidify his place in the NBA.

The Wisconsin native showed out late in the Raptors’ 113-108 win over the Wizards. Dekker finished with 18 points in only 16 minutes, going 7-10 from the field and catching fire in the second half. His improved shooting showed, as the 2015 first-round pick went 4-5 from beyond the arc and converted on a four-point play.

The one-year deal Dekker signed with Toronto this offseason is partially guaranteed, but would become fully guaranteed if he makes the final regular season roster. It was about as good of a final showing as the Badger legend could have hoped for, and now it’s a waiting game to see if the Raptors, or any of the NBA’s other 29 teams take a chance on the 6-foot-9 forward.
