Vikings announce second Winter Whiteout on Christmas Eve

The Winter Whiteout is returning on Christmas Eve once again

After the Minnesota Vikings held their first Winter Whiteout on Christmas Eve in 2022, they announced their second rendition which will also take place on Christmas Eve against the Detroit Lions.

Against the New York Giants last season, the atmosphere was special. The Vikings were wearing all white along with the crowd and U.S. Bank Stadium just felt different. The end zones were also painted white with purple letters and there was snow falling from the rafters.

This could become a cool yearly tradition for the Vikings around the Christmas holiday, or it could just be when they play on the holiday itself, as has been the case the last two years.

Vikings unveil uniform combo for Wild Card vs. Giants

After the Winter Whiteout three weeks ago, the Viking will be going the exact opposite with their uniform combo

On Sunday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings will be hosting the New York Giants in the Wild Card round and will be wearing a unique combination by going all purple with their jerseys and pants.

In the first matchup between the Vikings and the Giants, U.S. Bank Stadium was a winter whiteout and the Vikings rocked the all-white uniform for the first time ever at home.

The last time the Vikings were in the playoffs, they wore the combination of purple jerseys and purple pants in the Wild Card round of 2019 when they beat the New Orleans Saints 26-20 in the Mercedes Benz Superdome.

The Vikings also wore the combination once earlier this season when they played that same Saints team in London in week four. The Vikings won that game as well 28-25.

They hope that their luck remains the same as they host the Giants Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM central time.
