NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors’ comeback over Jazz on Wednesday, 112-107

After the Warriors secured a comeback over the Jazz for their third consecutive win at home, NBA Twitter weighed in with different reactions.

On the second leg of a back-to-back, the shorthanded Golden State Warriors didn’t have an answer for the Utah Jazz at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Wednesday night.

In the first half, the Jazz surged to a double-figure lead. However, the Warriors began to slowly chip away at the Jazz’s advantage. Before halftime, Utah’s lead was cut to five points. Yet, it took till the fourth quarter for the Warriors to tie the game against the Jazz.

Without Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins, players like Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ty Jerome stepped up on the way to Golden State’s comeback.

Along with hitting several clutch shots, Jerome recorded 17 points off the bench on 7-of-14 shooting from the field with a pair of made triples. Baldwin Jr. added 11 points with three made 3-pointers in 13 minutes off the bench.

With each team trading tough possessions in the fourth quarter, Golden State’s defense played a difference down the final stretch. Draymond Green came up with a pair of late blocks to help the Warriors hold the lead in the final minutes.

Jordan Poole led the team with 26 points on 7-of-22 shooting from the floor as the Warriors were able to complete the 112-107 comeback for their third straight victory at home.

After Golden State secured a comeback win over Utah at Chase Center, the NBA community on Twitter weighed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on social media on Wednesday night.

Jazz vs. Warriors: How to watch, lineups, injury reports and broadcast for Wednesday

Before the Warriors meet the Jazz, here’s everything you need to know for Wednesday’s contest, including how to watch.

Riding a two-game winning streak to start their homestand, the Golden State Warriors will welcome the Utah Jazz to San Francisco’s Chase Center on the second-leg of a home back-to-back on Wednesday evening in the Bay Area.

After upsetting the Memphis Grizzlies on Christmas day, the Warriors stayed hot at home by holding off the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday evening. Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 29 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the field with five made 3-pointers to go along with five rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes.

Thompson will likely miss Wednesday’s contest against the Jazz. The All-Star guard has yet to play back-to-backs in the 2022-23 season as the Warriors are being cautious with his previous injuries that kept him out for two seasons.

While the Warriors have won a pair of games in a row, the Jazz are coming off a loss on the road to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday evening. Lauri Markkanen dropped 32 points but it wasn’t enough to slow down the Spurs at home.

Before the Warriors host the Jazz, here’s everything you need to know about Wednesday’s contest, including how to watch.

NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors’ shocking loss in final seconds vs. Jazz

After the Warriors’ stunning loss to the Jazz in the final seconds, NBA Twitter exploded with reactions on Wednesday night.

With just seconds remaining in Wednesday’s contest, all signs pointed toward a road win over the Utah Jazz for the Golden State Warriors. However, the final seconds created a late heartbreaking loss for Golden State in Utah.

Following a go-ahead dunk from Jonathan Kuminga to give the Warriors a two-point advantage, the 20-year-old stopped Jordan Clarkson on the other end of the floor. After some theatrics and a scuffle, Clarkson was ejected on a flagrant two foul, giving Kuminga a chance to ice the game with a pair of free throws.

Kuminga drilled one of the two from the stripe, followed by another free throw from Jordan Poole, giving the Warriors a four-point lead with 13 seconds left on the clock.

On the next possession, Nickeil Alexander-Walker sliced through Golden State’s soft defense before finding Malik Beasley for a wide-open 3. Beasley drilled the open look, cutting the Warriors’ lead to one point with just 6.9 seconds left on the clock.

Yet, Alexander-Walker quickly stole the ball away from Poole after the inbound, giving the opportunity for the Jazz to steal the game. Beasley cruised down the court on a fast break after the steal before setting up Simone Fontecchio for a dunk at the rim to stun the Warriors in the final seconds, 124-123.

Golden State’s shocking loss overshadowed an impressive performance from Jonathan Kuminga. The No. 7 pick in 2021 fueled a comeback attempt for the Warriors, recording 24 points off the bench on 10-of-13 shooting from the field with five rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes.

Following Golden State’s collapse in the final seconds, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on social media on Wednesday night.
