Chiefs vs. Lions: Patrick Mahomes shows off soccer skills in warmups

Check out this video of Patrick Mahomes showing off his soccer skills ahead of the #Chiefs’ matchup against the #Lions on Saturday afternoon.

Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes showed off his international football chops by using a football like a soccer ball while warming up on the sideline at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Though he is known for using his powerful arm to propel footballs downfield, Mahomes appears to have an equally impressive ability to juggle the spheroid in the air with his foot.

Check out this video of Mahomes’ pregame performance in this cheerful footage that was posted to the Chiefs’ official Twitter account before Kansas City’s matchup against Detroit on Saturday:

Hopefully, NFL refs don’t catch him using the ball this way on the field, though when Mahomes is under center, it seems just about anything he does might result in a touchdown.

Chiefs vs. Lions: Carson Steele shows off nifty footwork in warmups

Carson Steele showed off his excellent footwork during warmups at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the #Chiefs’ preseason matchup against the #Lions

Kansas City Chiefs rookie Carson Steele became a fan-favorite in St. Joseph during training camp and is looking to put together a special performance against the Detroit Lions this afternoon.

Before his debut at Arrowhead Stadium, Steele was seen warming up for Kansas City’s second preseason tilt, where he is expected to see significant action as the Chiefs’ coaching staff assesses its options behind Isiah Pacheco.

Though it is unclear whether he would be a running back or fullback in Andy Reid’s offense, his outing against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week proved that he has what it takes to earn a spot on the Chiefs’ 53-man roster.

Check out Steele’s nifty footwork in his pre-game warmup in this video, which was shared on Twitter by KC Sports Network:

Expect to see Steele to steal the show against Detroit on Saturday afternoon, especially if the Chiefs rely on their running game to secure a win.
