Jets at Golden Knights projected goalies

Connor Hellebuyck (37-25-2, 2.49 GAA, .920 SV%, 4 SO – regular season) vs. Laurent Brossoit (7-0-3, 2.17 GAA, .927 SV% – regular season)

Hellebuyck started this series on a positive note, allowing just a single goal on 17 shots. The offensive pressure by the Golden Knights has picked up in the last 3 games though and he’s allowed 13 goals on the past 116 shots. He is 1-3-0 with a 3.21 GAA and .895 SV% in 4 games in this series.

Brossoit coughed up 4 goals on 30 shots in Game 1, but he has bounced back with 3 consecutive wins — the first 3 postseason wins of his NHL career. He is 3-1-0 with a 2.75 GAA and .902 SV% in 4 games in the series.

Jets at Golden Knights picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 4, Jets 1

Moneyline

The Golden Knights (-190) will cost you nearly 2 times your potential return, and that’s too rich for my blood. My personal moneyline limit for a standalone bet is -180.

PASS, and look to the puck line instead.

Puck line/Against the spread

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS -1.5 (+150) are a much better value at plus money.

Vegas has covered the puck line in each of the past 2 games as a favorite.

The Golden Knights have won 4 of the past 5 on home ice, with the lone loss coming in Game 1. Vegas is 4-1 in its last 5 in the Conference Quarterfinals round, too.

Over/Under

The UNDER 5.5 (+105) is worth a look at plus money, but go lightly.

The Over has cashed in each of the first 4 games in this series, so this requires a leap of faith. However, the Under is 23-7-1 in the past 31 games on the road for the Jets, while going 12-4-3 in the past 19 when working on 2 days of rest.

Vegas should see a decent amount of goals, but I expect Winnipeg to struggle in this elimination game.

Vegas Golden Knights at Winnipeg Jets Game 4 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Vegas Golden Knights at Winnipeg Jets Game 4 odds and lines, with NHL expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets battle in Game 4 of the Western Conference quarterfinals on Monday. The Golden Knights lead the series 2-1. Puck drop from Canada Life Centre is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Golden Knights vs. Jets odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

The Golden Knights picked up a 5-4 win in double overtime in Game 3, seizing home-ice advantage back after losing Game 1 at T-Mobile Arena.

Vegas built a 4-1 lead heading into the 3rd period in Game 3, but the Jets scored 3 unanswered goals to force overtime, with Adam Lowry scoring with an extra attacker with just 22 seconds left in regulation. Michael Amadio spoiled the party in 2 OT, however.

The Jets have actually matched the Golden Knights 11-11 in goals in the 3 games, but Winnipeg finds itself down in the series. The Jets have allowed 5 goals in each of the last 2 outings, too.

Golden Knights at Jets projected goalies

Laurent Brossoit (7-0-3, 2.17 GAA, .927 SV% – regular season vs. Connor Hellebuyck (37-25-2, 2.49 GAA, .920 SV%, 4 SO – regular season)

Brossoit picked up his 1st NHL postseason win in Game 2, stopping 31 of 33 shots, and he followed it up with a win in 2 OT in Game 3. He had a bad 3rd period in Game 3, but he bounced back by shutting the door in OT.

Hellebuyck has faced a lot of rubber in the last 2 games. He was barely tested in Game 1, turning aside all 16 shots. However, in Game 2, he allowed 5 goals on 39 shots, and he coughed up 5 goals on 48 shots in the 2 OT odyssey in Game 3.

Golden Knights at Jets picks and predictions

Prediction

Jets 4, Golden Knights 3

Moneyline

The JETS (-110) aren’t going to roll over and make it easy for the Golden Knights (-110) in Game 4.

Winnipeg faces a must-win situation on home ice, as a loss in Game 4 will put it down 3-1, with the series shifting back to Las Vegas. The Jets have played well enough to win 2 of the 3 games, but they have just the lone victory in the series opener. I expect the Jets to show out in Game 4, especially since they’re up against their former backup goalie Brossoit, a player many forwards know well.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Jets +1.5 (-275) will cost you nearly 3 times your potential return, and that’s way too costly with not enough value. My personal limit for a puck line wager such as this would be -175, and this is much more expensive than that.

AVOID.

Over/Under

The OVER 5.5 (-120) is the best play on the board in Game 4.

We’ve had a total of 22 goals in the 1st 3 games, including 11 goals for each side. That’s an average of 7.3 goals per game in each contest so far. There is no reason to believe the scoring is suddenly going to dry up. Keep going high on the total until the defense and goaltenders step up. It hasn’t happened yet.

Vegas Golden Knights at Winnipeg Jets Game 3 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Vegas Golden Knights at Winnipeg Jets Game 3 odds and lines, with NHL expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Vegas Golden Knights meet the Winnipeg Jets Saturday for Game 3 of their Western Conference quarterfinals series as it shifts to Manitoba. Puck drop from Canada Life Centre is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (TBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Golden Knights vs. Jets odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

The series is tied 1-1.

The Jets opened with a surprising 5-1 victory in Game 1 Tuesday, but the Golden Knights bounced back in a big way with a 5-2 win in Game 2 Thursday to square the series.

Winnipeg C Adam Lowry scored his 3rd goal of the series to break the ice midway through the 1st period, and Winnipeg held a 1-0 lead heading to the 2nd. Vegas outscored Winnipeg 2-1 in the 2nd and posted 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd for the series-tying win.

The intensity was ratcheted up in Game 2, as well, with 18 penalty minutes in the 1st period, including 5 roughing penalties. Look for more of the same as we continue getting deeper into the series.

Golden Knights at Jets projected goalies

Laurent Brossoit (7-0-3, 2.17 GAA, .927 SV% – regular season) vs. Connor Hellebuyck (37-25-2, 2.49 GAA, .920 SV%, 4 SO – regular season)

Brossoit was making just his 2nd NHL postseason start in Game 2, and he earned his first-ever playoff win. He kicked aside 31 of the 33 shots he faced, and 1 of the goals allowed came on the power play.

Hellebuyck had a light workload in Game 1, allowing just a single goal on 17 shots. That changed dramatically in Game 2, as he was peppered with 39 shots and coughed up 5 goals. He returns home where he was 22-11-1 with a 2.22 GAA, .926 SV% and 4 SO over 34 starts in the regular season.

Golden Knights at Jets picks and predictions

Prediction

Jets 4, Golden Knights 3

Moneyline

The JETS (-115) are a solid play on home ice in Game 3.

The Golden Knights have won just once in the past 5 trips to Winnipeg, with the home team winning 5 of the past 7 in this series and the favorite also going 5-2 during the same span. Winnipeg has won 5 of the past 6 games overall at home, too.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Golden Knights +1.5 (-275) will cost you nearly 3 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not nearly enough reward.

Vegas has cashed in 4 straight on the puck line as an underdog. However, there is just not enough value here to make this wager.

PASS.

Over/Under

OVER 5.5 (-110) is the best play for the 2nd straight game in this series.

The Over cashed in each of the 2 games in Vegas, and is Over is 3-1-1 in the previous 5 meetings. While the Under has dominated for the Jets lately, the Over is 3-0-1 in their past 4 games against teams with a winning percentage greater than .600.

Winnipeg Jets at Vegas Golden Knights Game 2 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Winnipeg Jets at Vegas Golden Knights Game 2 odds and lines, with NHL expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Winnipeg Jets (47-33-3) visit the Vegas Golden Knights (51-23-9) on Thursday for Game 2 of the Western Conference quarterfinals. Puck drop from T-Mobile Arena is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (TBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Jets vs. Golden Knights odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

The Jets picked up one of the more unexpected playoff results in Game 1, winning 5-1.

After a scoreless 1st period, Kyle Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois struck for even-strength goals to quite “The Fortress” in the first 2:26 of the 2nd period. William Karlsson got the crowd back into it, slicing the lead in half at 15:49 of the period.

However, the 3rd period was all Jets, as Blake Wheeler notched a goal at 3:53, and the Jets saw Adam Lowry bag a pair of empty-net goals to put an exclamation point on the 5-1 Game 1 victory.

Jets forward Morgan Barron was shoved into the crease by Chandler Stephenson, and his face landed on the skate of sprawling goaltender Laurent Brossoit. The blade obviously missed his eye, but he needed 75 stitches to close the gash. Is he out for the season? No, he is a hockey player. He returned with the bird cage, and finished the game with 3 shots and 5 hits.

Jets at Golden Knights Game 2 projected goalies

Connor Hellebuyck (37-25-2, 2.49 GAA, .920 SV%, 4 SO – regular season) vs. Laurent Brossoit (7-0-3, 2.17 GAA, .927 SV% – regular season)

Hellebuyck was barely tested in Game 1, facing just 17 shots while allowing the Karlsson marker in the 2nd period. The Michigander picked up his 17th career NHL postseason win, and he has a 2.42 GAA and .921 SV% with 3 SO in his 36 career playoff starts.

Brossoit, who was Hellebuyck’s backup in Winnipeg for 3 seasons from 2018-20, is still in search of that 1st-ever NHL playoff win. In fact, Brossoit was making his 1st start in the playoffs in Game 1, with just a relief appearance in the 2017 playoffs with the Edmonton Oilers to his credit.

Jets at Golden Knights Game 2 picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 4, Jets 3

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-150) are moderate favorites in Game 2, and worth backing despite the obvious goaltender disparity. Hellebuyck has the experience, Brossoit has mostly watched postseason games with a ball cap, especially in his 3 seasons in Winnipeg.

Still, VGK is 12-4 in the last 16 games at home, while going 7-3 in the last 10 when allowing 3 or more goals in the previous outing. I expect Vegas to bounce back in a big way, as Brossoit gets that huge 1st-ever NHL playoff win.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Jets +1.5 (-200) will cost you 2 times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk and not enough reward. Winnipeg seized home-ice advantage in this series with a giant Game 1 win, but sweeping both games in Vegas is too much to ask. But, don’t expect this scrappy bunch to go quietly into the night, either.

PASS.

Over/Under

OVER 5.5 (-115) is the best play on the board. Vegas will get its offense jump-started in Game 2, feeding off the raucous crowd at T-Mobile Arena.

The Jets showed they can handle Brossoit, and many of the players like Connor, Mark Scheifele, Wheeler, etc. played with him, so they know his tendencies from years of practicing together. That is helpful for goal scorers, too.

I like a higher-scoring affair in Game 2.

Vegas Golden Knights at Seattle Kraken odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Vegas Golden Knights at Seattle Kraken odds and lines, with NHL expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Vegas Golden Knights (50-22-9) visit the Seattle Kraken (46-27-8) on Thursday. Puck drop from Climate Pledge Arena is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Golden Knights vs. Kraken odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

The Golden Knights need at least a point, or an overtime or regulation loss by the Edmonton Oilers, to wrap up the Pacific Division. Edmonton hosts the San Jose Sharks Wednesday. Vegas won the front end of the home-and-home set 4-1 at T-Mobile Arena as the Under (6) cashed Tuesday.

Vegas has won 8 of its last 11 road games while going 12-4 in the past 16 games against teams with a winning overall record.

Seattle has posted 5 wins in the past 6 games and has cashed 4 of the past 5 outings at CPA. The Kraken are 0-5 in the past 5 games against teams with a winning percentage over .600.

Golden Knights at Kraken projected goalies

Laurent Brossoit (6-0-3, 2.29 GAA, .923 SV%) vs. Philipp Grubauer (17-13-4, 2.87 GAA, .895 SV%)

Brossoit has emerged as an unlikely star for Vegas, and he could lead it to a division title with another win. He is a perfect 4-0-0 with a 1.73 GAA and .940 SV% in 4 starts in April. Brossoit stopped 20 of 21 shots against the Kraken in the front end of the home-and-home set Tuesday.

Grubauer picked up a win last time out at the Arizona Coyotes Monday, as he allowed just a single goal on 23 shots. He has also been hot in April, going 3-0-0 with a 1.21 GAA and .952 SV% in 3 starts and 1 relief appearance.

Golden Knights at Kraken picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 3, Kraken 2

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-120) are a solid play as favorites on the road. Vegas simply needs 1 point to raise a banner.

The Kraken have already clinched a Wild Card spot, and if Vegas manages to win the division, these teams will face each other in the first round.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Kraken +1.5 (-250) have nothing to play for, other than trying to spoil the division hopes of the Golden Knights, perhaps changing Seattle’s first-round opponent to the Oilers.

PASS.

Over/Under

The UNDER 6 (-105) is the lean, mainly because Brossoit and Grubauer have been so very hot and have sub-2.00 GAA in April.

The Under is also 15-7-2 in the past 24 road games for the Golden Knights, while going 13-3-1 in the past 7 games against teams with a winning percentage over .600.

Seattle Kraken at Vegas Golden Knights odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Seattle Kraken at Vegas Golden Knights odds and lines, with NHL expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Kraken have picked up 5 consecutive victories, outscoring the opposition 29-9 since April 3. The road team has won the 1st 2 meetings this season, with Seattle winning 4-2 in Vegas on Nov. 25, while Vegas won 5-2 in the Pacific Northwest on Oct. 15.

The Golden Knights suffered a 2-1 setback in a shootout in Dallas on Saturday. VGK leads the Pacific Division with 107 points with 2 regular-season games to play, with the Edmonton Oilers giving chase.

Kraken at Golden Knights projected goalies

Martin Jones (27-13-3, 2.99 GAA, .887 SV%, 3 SO) vs. Laurent Brossoit (5-0-3, 2.44 GAA, .921 SV%)

Jones turned aside 15 of the 18 shots he faced Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks, but he was removed after 2 periods after suffering a hand injury. He is still expected to be ready, but if not, Joey Daccord and Philipp Grubauer could get an unexpected nod.

Brossoit has taken advantage of injuries and poor play by others to secure a majority of starts. He has taken the ball and run with it, winning 3 consecutive games against playoff contenders Los Angeles and Minnesota (x2).

Kraken at Golden Knights picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 5, Kraken 3

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-150) are a solid value, as Vegas remains in the mix for a Pacific Division title. While the home team has won each of the 1st 2 regular-season meetings, Vegas is 11-4 in the last 15 games against winning teams, while going 11-3 in the last 14 games at “The Fortress”.

Puck line/Against the spread

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS -1.5 (+165) are worth a look on home ice, although it might take an empty-net goal late to get over the hump.

The Kraken +1.5 (-200) is just 1-5 in the last 6 meetings, and the favorite has cashed in 5 of the last 6 in this series.

Over/Under

The OVER 6 (-120) is the lean in this Western Conference battle.

The Over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 games on the road for the Kraken, while cashing at a 6-2-1 clip in the last 9 games against winning teams.

The Over is 9-4-1 in the last 14 games for VGK, while going 6-1 in the last 7 outings at home.

The Golden Knights won the 1st meeting of the regular season Oct. 11 by a 4-3 count in Los Angeles. The Kings have won the past 2 meetings, including the first battle at T-Mobile Arena Jan. 7. L.A. routed Vegas 5-1 as the total pushed at most shops.

Kings at Golden Knights projected goalies

Joonas Korpisalo (16-13-4, 2.84 GAA, .917 SV%) vs. Laurent Brossoit (4-0-3, 2.50 GAA, .918 SV%)

Korpisalo allowed just a single goal on 25 shots in a 4-1 win at Vancouver last time out, snapping a 2-game losing skid.

The losses in Edmonton last Thursday, and in Calgary last Tuesday, weren’t his fault, however, and he has allowed 2 or fewer goals in each of his 8 starts since being acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets at the NHL trade deadline in early March.

Brossoit allowed 3 goals on 33 shots last time out in Minnesota, and he has picked up consecutive wins against the Wild in the home-and-home series to kick off the month of April.

Kings at Golden Knights picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 3, Kings 2

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-120) are a solid value on home ice in this crucial Pacific Division matchup.

The Kings (+100) want this win, and need it to have a shot at the Pacific Division. The margin between winning the division and finishing 1st, ending up 2nd and earning home-ice advantage in the first round, or finishing 3rd is very tight. This game will go a long way, and VGK will take a big step toward nailing down the division title.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Kings +1.5 (-250) will cost you 2 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just too much if you need a little insurance. If you like Los Angeles, just play it straight up as short ‘dogs on the road. I don’t, however.

PASS.

Over/Under

UNDER 6 (-110) is the play in this huge game.

The Under is 4-0 in the past 4 games overall for the Kings, while cashing in 4 straight on the road, and 4 in a row against winning teams, too.

For VGK, the Under is 3-1-1 in the past 5 games against winning teams, while going 4-1-1 in the past 6 outings in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 (4 games in 6 days) situation.

Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Golden Knights vs. Predators odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

The Golden Knights picked up an important 4-3 win in a shootout on Monday night in Minnesota. Now, Vegas faces the quick turnaround in the Music City with a late-night check-in to the team hotel.

The Predators played in Dallas on Monday, and their charter flight also didn’t get in until early morning but at least the Preds get to sleep in their own beds.

Nashville suffered a 5-1 setback in the Metroplex. It is also averaging just 2.3 goals per game (GPG) across the last 12 outings, having been shut out on 2 occasions.

Golden Knights at Predators projected goalies

Jonathan Quick (16-15-4, 3.50 GAA, .880 SV%, 2 SO) vs. Kevin Lankinen (8-7-1, 2.72 GAA, .917 SV%)

Quick is projected to the start after Laurent Brossoit started the front-end of the back-to-back situation in the Twin Cities Monday. The veteran was pounded for 6 goals on 34 shots last time out on March 28 against the Edmonton Oilers.

Lankinen allowed 3 goals on 34 shots in his most recent appearance March 26 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, a 3-2 loss. He hasn’t won since March 11, a 2-1 shootout win in Los Angeles against the Kings. He went 2-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .907 SV% in 4 starts in March.

Golden Knights at Predators picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 3, Predators 2

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-125) haven’t fared well in the 2nd end of back-to-back situations, winning just once in the last 5 situations. However, the Predators (+105) are just 5-11 in the last 16 games when playing on no rest, so really it’s a wash.

We go with the better team, and that’s Vegas. Also, VGK has won 6 of the last 7 meetings overall with the Preds, while going 4-0 in its past 4 trips to Smashville.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Predators +1.5 (-250) will cost you 2 1/2 times your potential return, if you require a little bit of insurance and don’t want the home team straight up. That’s too expensive.

AVOID.

Over/Under

UNDER 6 (-115) is the lean, but go lightly with a half-unit play at most.

The Under has cashed at a 4-1-1 clip in the last 6 when Vegas is playing on no rest. The Under is also 4-1 in its last 5 against Central Division foes.

For the Predators, the Under has hit in 6 of the last 8 games on home ice, while going 5-1 in the last 6 against teams with a winning percentage over .600.

Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota Wild odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota Wild odds and lines, with expert NHL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Vegas Golden Knights (44-21-11) and the Minnesota Wild (34-33-9) play the 2nd end of a home-and-home set Monday night. Puck drop from XCel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (NHL Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Golden Knights vs. Wild odds, and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.

The Golden Knights paddled the Wild 4-1 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in the 1st meeting on Saturday night behind Laurent Brossoit. He allowed a  goal to Matthew Boldy 5 minutes into the 1st period, but it was all downhill after that.

Vegas received offensive production from its non-stars, too, as Ben Hutton, Zach Whitecloud and Brett Howden lit the lamp, showing off VGK’s tremendous depth. Chandler Stephenson, a more familiar name, capped off the scoring with an empty-net goal.

Marc-Andre Fleury did a great job keeping his current team in it, making 39 saves against his former team. However, Minnesota just couldn’t solve Brossoit, who turned aside 29 of the 30 shots he faced.

  • Puck line (PL)/Against the spread (ATS): Golden Knights +1.5 (-225) | Wild -1.5 (+185)

Golden Knights at Wild projected goalies

Laurent Brossoit (3-0-3, 2.44 GAA, .920 SV%) vs. Marc-Andre Fleury (24-14-4, 2.82 GAA, .910 SV%, 2 SO)

Brossoit made 29 saves on 30 shots Saturday against Minnesota, his 2nd consecutive Saturday night with a victory. He also beat Edmonton on the road last week, and VGK appears to trust him a little more than Jonathan Quick at the moment.

Fleury allowed 3 goals on 42 shots in Saturday’s loss at Vegas. The loss certainly wasn’t his fault, as he received little offensive support. He was 6-0-1 in 7 starts in March, posting a 2.56 GAA and .928 SV%.

Golden Knights at Wild picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 3, Wild 2

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (+110) are a solid value as short ‘dogs, as the Wild (-135) just haven’t been able to solve Vegas lately. Vegas has won 5 of the last 6 meetings, and the Golden Knights have won 12 of their last 16 games overall. VGK is also 7-1 in the last 8 road games while going 6-1 in the last 7 against winning teams.

The Wild (-135) had been red-hot lately, too, but it just has a lot of difficulty trying to solve the Golden Knights. Until Minnesota can beat Vegas semi-regularly, keep fading the Wild.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Golden Knights +1.5 (-225) will cost you over 2 times your potential return if you need insurance and can’t bring yourself to playing Vegas straight up. While the home team is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in this series, again, Vegas has won 5 of the last 6 battles head-to-head.

PASS.

Over/Under

UNDER 6 (-115) is the lean, but go lightly.

The Under cashed in Saturday’s meeting at T-Mobile Center, although it certainly didn’t start out that way with 3 goals in the first 16+ minutes. Still, things settled down, and we had just a single goal in the final 2 periods before Stephenson’s empty-netter.

Brossoit is playing with a lot of confidence, and Fleury will be hellbent on getting a win against his former team, so look for another strong performance from both tendies.

Oilers at Golden Knights projected goalies

Stuart Skinner (23-14-5, 2.93 GAA, .909 SV%) vs. Jonathan Quick (16-14-4, 3.40 GAA, .882 SV%, 2 SO)

Skinner’s 2 career starts vs. the Golden Knights were both this season. He went 1-0-1 and allowed 7 goals on 68 shots, good for a 3.39 GAA and .897 SV%.

Quick faced the Oilers 3 times last season, going 1-1-1 and allowing 7 goals on 85 shots, good for a 2.29 GAA and .918 SV%. He’s 24-10-6 in 40 career starts vs. Edmonton with a 2.07 GAA and .923 SV% (985 saves against 1067 shots).

Oilers at Golden Knights picks and predictions

Prediction

Oilers 4, Golden Knights 3

Moneyline

BET OILERS (-120).

The Oilers should come out extra focused to keep their points streak alive and to not give Vegas the satisfaction of clinching a postseason berth against them. Edmonton may have lost the last head-to-head meeting at home but has played better in recent games vs. the Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena.

The Oilers have been playing up to the level of their competition lately, going 5-2 in their last 7 games vs. teams with a winning record, and should be able to get revenge against the Golden Knights for their most recent meeting Saturday.

Puck line/Against the spread

PASS.

Edmonton’s last 3 wins have all been by just 1 goal. Vegas +1.5 (-230) should hit, but there is no need to pay the high price on the puck line when Oilers moneyline should be the safer play. Bet Oilers moneyline and/or the total instead.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 6.5 (-160).

The Over is 5-1 in Edmonton’s last 6 games on the 2nd night of a back-to-back and 21-6 in its last 27 on the road.

The Over has hit in Vegas’ last 4 home games and should cash again Tuesday, but I’m going to wait and see if a lower price becomes available before puck drop.
