Falcons reveal uniform combination for Sunday’s Week 11 game against the Denver Broncos

The Atlanta Falcons suffered their first road loss of the season on Sunday but will attempt to bounce back against the Broncos this weekend in Denver. Both teams suffered field-goal malfunctions that potentially cost them wins in Week 10.

The Falcons failed to convert three field goals, one of which was blocked, during their 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints. As for the Broncos, they were in a position to upset the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs but had their game-winning field goal blocked in the final seconds.

On Thursday, Atlanta revealed its Week 11 uniform combination. According to the team’s Twitter account, the Falcons will wear their white jerseys with black pants against the Broncos on Sunday.

The Falcons have gone 3-1 on the road this season, with their three wins coming against the Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Broncos are 2.5-point favorites despite Atlanta having the better record entering Week 11. Sunday’s game starts at 4:05 p.m. ET inside Empower Field at Mile High.

Michigan football is heading back on the road on Saturday for a game no one — and we mean no one — would have seen coming as a tough fight with the Wolverines as a sizable underdog.

That’s because Indiana is rolling, ranked No. 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings, and the Hoosiers have been clowning every team in its path not too dissimilar from how Michigan has the past three seasons. Thus, the 5-4, unranked Wolverines have an uphill climb in this tough battle.

As such, Saturday is a big game, and one that the Wolverines will be breaking out the road version of the ‘big game blues’ by wearing white tops and blue pants and blue accessories at Memorial Stadium.

 

Michigan has only lost once to Indiana since 1987, that being in the COVID year, 2020. The Hoosiers had Michael Penix Jr. while the Wolverines were looking to find their way following an unexpected Week 2 loss to Michigan State.

If Michigan wins this game, it will become bowl eligible but if it loses, it will fall to 5-5 on the season.

The last time the Wolverines wore the road blues was in the Week 8 loss at Illinois. Prior to that, Michigan had never lost on the road while wearing blue pants.

The Wolverines take the field for Week 10 on Saturday, hosting the formidable Oregon Ducks, who are ranked as the No. 1 team in the country. Yet, the maize and blue aren’t going to the well as it pertains to the jersey combo.

Usually, when a top team comes to Ann Arbor, you can expect Michigan football to break out the ‘big game blues’ which feature the traditional blue jersey and blue pants. However, the Wolverines announced on Friday afternoon that it will be wearing the traditional uniform with a blue top and maize pants with the Ducks coming to town on Saturday. But one change is that Michigan will be wearing blue accessories instead of maize or white.

 

Oregon will be wearing special uniforms as well, featuring an all-white look. Thus far this year, Michigan is undefeated at home while wearing maize pants, as the Wolverines wore the ‘big game blues’ against u, the sole home loss thus far this year.

Detroit is going to wear the blue jersey/blue pants combination with the traditional silver helmet. Fans know this combination as the “blueberries,” and it’s a popular kit with the newly designed blue tops.

Tennessee is going with white jerseys and a light blue pant combination on the road. The 1-5 Titans have dark blue helmets. The 5-1 Lions are looking for their first-ever win against the Titans, who have beaten Detroit in each of the six prior meetings.

Michigan football announces uniform combo for MSU game

Michigan football has been on the road the past two games and thus wearing white tops with different colored pants.

At Washington in Week 6, the Wolverines opted for maize pants and in Week 8 at Illinois last week, Michigan wore blue pants (and lost for only the first time with the white top-blue pants combo). Now the maize and blue return to The Big House where they’ll face in-state rival Michigan State in the Battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy.

And with that, they’ll don a more traditional look.

According to the official Michigan football X account, the Wolverines will wear blue tops with maize pants and white accessories in the showdown against the fellow 4-3 Spartans.

It’s not clear, but it appears that MSU is likely to be wearing all white with green helmets, according to a couple of posts on its official X account.

Michigan has won two straight against MSU and hope to make it a third straight. However, nearly every first-year head coach for the Wolverines has lost their first game as a head coach against the in-state rival. Sherrone Moore hopes to buck that trend as he works to create more cohesion in a Michigan offense which has been struggling all year, but more so as of late.

The game will kick off at 7:40 p.m. EDT at Michigan Stadium and will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.

Here’s how the Packers’ new all-white helmets and uniforms look on the field at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers are wearing their new all-white helmets and all-white uniform combination for the first time on Sunday against the Houston Texans.

The helmet has a white shell and white facemask with green stripes and the traditional green “G” logo. The uniform and pants — which have been worn together on a few occasions in the past — are the Packers’ traditional road attire.

Michigan football announces uniform combo for Illinois game

Michigan football has been on the road once thus far this year having gone to Seattle to play Washington in what ended up being a 27-17 loss to the Huskies. In that game, the Wolverines went with a more traditional look, having sported white tops with maize bottoms.

On Saturday, the maize and blue head out on the road for the second time this year, set to face No. 21 Illinois in Champaign. The Illini may be sporting alternate uniforms, although there’s some debate as to whether or not they’ll actually wear them.

However, Michigan football is set to sport the traditional white uniform, albeit with one of its alternate looks on Saturday. The Wolverines announced that they will wear white tops with the blue pants, along with white accessories.

Michigan debuted the blue pants on the road in 2021 at Wisconsin. To this point, the Wolverines have yet to lose a game where it has worn white tops and blue pants.

Kickoff is set for 3:40 p.m. EDT at Memorial Stadium in Champaign and the game will be nationally televised on CBS.

Twitter reacts to prime-time debut of Broncos’ new uniforms

The Broncos’ new uniform made its prime-time debut against the Saints on ‘TNF’ in Week 7. Here’s how Twitter/X reacted to the new look.

Earlier this year, the Denver Broncos unveiled a brand-new uniform set that includes orange (home), white (away), blue (alternate) and orange (throwback) jerseys.

The team’s primary orange and white jerseys can be mixed and matched with white, orange or blue pants (orange jerseys with blue pants is not a popular look).

The Broncos will wear their alternate blue jersey with a white helmet on Monday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns in Week 13. Last week, Denver debuted its 1977-inspired throwback uniform, which is by far the team’s most popular uniform.

Tonight, the Broncos’ new primary white jersey makes its prime-time debut against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football. Here’s a sampling of how fans and pundits have reacted to Denver’s new uniform on Twitter/X.

NFL teams have to wait five years in between primary uniform changes. So the earliest the Broncos could change their look would be 2029.

The Washington Commanders revealed their game captains for Sunday’s Week 6 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens.

Head coach Dan Quinn discussed the Week 6 captains on Friday.

Start off by giving you the captains as we get started for this week’s game,” Quinn said. “Offense will be Andrew Wylie, and defensively be Daron Payne and on special teams Tyler Ott. All these guys bring unique stuff to our team. Kinda talked about the consistency of Andrew, the length he’s willing to go for these guys and all the toughness. With Daron, we thought of the word is he’s got a real edge about him and that focus, and we love that he brings it. And then Tyler, always at the front and center of stuff, but just really, really high standards about how he goes about his stuff. So, a lot of respect for those three and they’ll lead the way Sunday.”

In addition to the captains, the Commanders also revealed their uniform combination for Sunday’s showdown in Charm City.

It will be white jerseys and burgundy pants for the Commanders against the Ravens.

Washington looks to improve to 5-1 against the 3-2 Ravens.

Falcons reveal uniforms for Week 6 matchup vs. Carolina Panthers

The Falcons revealed their uniforms ahead of Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers….

The Atlanta Falcons revealed their Week 6 uniforms ahead of Sunday’s road matchup against the Carolina Panthers, and they’re familiar ones.

The Falcons will wear their white jerseys with black pants and regular black helmets. This marks the end of two consecutive weeks in which Atlanta wore its throwbacks with the fan-favorite red helmets.

Many around the league, including NFL legend J.J. Watt, have petitioned for the Falcons to permanently switch to their old-school uniforms. For now, though, it’s back to the team’s usual gear.

Atlanta is in the midst of a season filled with optimism, sitting on top of the NFC South following the team’s 36-30 overtime victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

This came just a week after the Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints, 26-24. Carolina, however, is looking to bounce back after falling 36-10 to the Chicago Bears in Week 5.

The Panthers are now on a two-game losing streak in a season filled with poor quarterback play. Before that, Carolina fell 34-24 to a struggling Cincinnati Bengals team that hasn’t looked like itself.
