Former Georgia WR signs deal with Indianapolis Colts

Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie signs deal with the Colts

It did not take former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie long to find a new NFL team. McKenzie, who the Buffalo Bills released a few days ago, has signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

McKenzie, 27, had a strong season for Buffalo in 2022, recording 42 receptions for 423 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He played in 15 games and added nine rushes for 55 yards and a touchdown. Buffalo’s season ended in a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL postseason.

McKenzie played with the Bills from 2018 to 2022.

McKenzie joins an Indianapolis Colts team that is likely to draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft.

McKenzie, who is coming off arguably the best season of his career, played for Georgia from 2014-2016 before being drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft.

UGA football hires former Clemson offensive coordinator

The Georgia Bulldogs have hired former Clemson Tigers quarterback and offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter as an analyst

The Georgia Bulldogs have hired former Clemson Tigers quarterback and offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter. Georgia has won back-to-back national championships, but is having to replace offensive coordinator Todd Monken this offseason.

Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have already found a replacement for Monken in Mike Bobo. Bobo, who was previously an analyst, also served as Georgia’s offensive coordinator during the Mark Richt era.

Brandon Streeter will be an analyst at Georgia. He brings a lot of experience to Athens and is another example of a former top coach coming to Athens to serve as an analyst.

Georgia continues to have an excellent coaching staff. The Bulldogs retained rising coaching star Glenn Schumann this offseason.

Streeter spent one season as Clemson’s offensive coordinator. The Tigers improved in 2022 compared to 2021, but ultimately ending up hiring former TCU offensive coordinator Garrett Riley after the season.

Now, Streeter will look to gain knowledge at Georgia after spending a long time at Clemson. Streeter played at Clemson from 1997-1999. He served as recruiting coordinator and quarterbacks coach after returning to the Tigers in 2014.

Streeter, who is no stranger to quarterback position battles, coached talented quarterbacks like Trevor Lawrence and DJ Uiagalelei during his time at Clemson.

Watch: Darnell Washington takes field at Georgia’s pro day

Big 0 in action today in Athens…

Georgia tight end Darnell Washington is one of 19 participants at UGA’s annual pro day ahead of the NFL draft.

Washington walked away from the NFL combine two weeks ago as one of the top tight end prospects after an impressive showing of size and athleticism.

Washington clocked a 4.64 40-yard dash in Indianapolis, which is the fourth fastest by any tight end over 260 pounds since 2003.

There are questions around Washington’s actual size. The former five-star recruit measured in at 6-foot-7, 272 pounds today in Athens after weighing in at 6-foot-6, 264 pounds at the combine.

Watch: Stetson Bennett throws at Georgia’s pro day

Bennett goes to work at pro day…

Georgia is currently hosting its annual pro day in Athens, where NFL bound Bulldogs are showcasing their skills in front of pro representatives.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett looks to follow-up a solid performance at NFL combine. The two-time national champion ran a 4.67 40-yard dash and preformed well in throwing drills.

Bennett should be comfortable today at Georgia’s indoor facility throwing to teammates, a couple of former Bulldogs and his brother, Luke, a freshman walk-on wide receiver.

The workouts are live right now on SEC Network.

UGA football offers 2026 WR Peyton Zachary

Zachary reminds us of former Georgia wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie.

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to 2026 wide receiver recruit Peyton Zachary.

Zachary is unranked due to his young age. He is a freshman at Kell High School in Marietta, Georgia. He also plays basketball.

The unranked receiver has recent scholarship offers from Indiana, Missouri, Memphis, and Tulane. Peyton Zachary considers Georgia his dream school.

Now, he has received a scholarship offer from Kirby Smart and company. The 5-foot-7, 145-pound receiver has excellent speed and quickness. The Kell standout is elusive in the open field and is a good route runner. It will be fun to watch him develop throughout the rest of his high school career.

Due to Zachary’s size, he has a limited catch radius. However, he is excellent at getting separation. Zachary is a shifty punt returner.

Zachary announced his scholarship offer from Georgia football via Twitter:
