Georgia in top-five for 2022 Orlando WR

Georgia football made the top-five for 2022 3-star WR Chandler Smith.

Georgia’s 2022 recruiting class currently ranks No. 1 in the nation with 12 commitments.

On Sunday, Georgia took one step closer to adding to that top-ranked class when 2022 3-star wide receiver Chandler Smith included UGA in his top-five.

Smith released an all-SEC top-five of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Out of Orlando, Florida (Bishop Moore Catholic High School), Chandler ranks as the nation’s No. 773 overall player and No. 98 ranked wide receiver, according to 247Sports. Right now, 247Sports predicts Chandler to sign with Florida.

Smith is one of the nation’s fastest recruits, having wonย state titles in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. He also was clocked running a 10.28 in the 100-meter and a 20.62 in the 200-meter dash.

Georgia offered the 6-foot-3, 180 pound speedster on May 5.

7th grader Amari Sabb tweets he’s received offer from Georgia

Amari Sabb, a 7th grader in the class of 2026, tweeted that he’s received a scholarship offer from Georgia football.

On Monday, 7th grader Amari Sabb, a member of the class of 2026, tweeted that he received a scholarship offer from the University of Georgia.

A 7th grader!

As Jeff Sentell of DawgNation points out, this may be out the earliest offer in Georgia history. Sabb is certainly the youngest player I can recall to receive an offer from UGA.

Sabb, a 5-foot-9 athlete out of Williamstown, New Jersey, is the younger brother of 2022 5-star safety Keon Sabb. Keon plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and ranks as the nationโ€™s No. 1 ATH and No. 19 overall player in the 2022 class.

According to Rivals, the younger Sabb holds two other offers from Ole Miss and Penn State.
