Julian Erosa picked up one of the best wins of his UFC career on Saturday when he tapped out Charles Jourdain at UFC Fight Night 191.

[autotag]Julian Erosa[/autotag] picked up one of the best wins of his UFC career on Saturday when he tapped out [autotag]Charles Jourdain[/autotag] at UFC Fight Night 191.

After an entertaining back-and-forth fight at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Erosa (25-9 MMA, 4-5 UFC) found a way to lock in a D’Arce choke on Jourdain (11-4-1 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC) late in the final round of the 150-pound catchweight fight.

Jourdain was forced to tap at the 2:56 mark of Round 3, giving Erosa the win on short notice. Check out the replay of the finish below (via Twitter):

Although Erosa has had his ups and downs inside the octagon, he continues to prove to be a durable and skilled talent. He was knocked down by Jourdain in the second round, only to come back in the third and finish the fight.

“Jourdain’s a strong striker and I wanted to get the fight to the ground earlier,” Erosa said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. “My D’Arce is unstoppable. … I’m super happy with it.”

Jonathan Martinez off UFC Fight Night 191 due to weight cut complications

UFC Fight Night 191 loses a bantamweight fight hours before the event.

UFC Fight Night 191 has lost a matchup following the official weigh-ins on Friday.

Jonathan Martinez is now out of his scheduled bout against Marcelo Rojo just hours ahead of the event. MMA Junkie confirmed the news following a report from ESPN Deportes.

The bantamweight bout was scheduled to take place on the prelims airing on ESPN+ at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Martinez missed weight on Friday morning, weighing in at 138 pounds for his bantamweight fight which is over the mark by two pounds. Following the miss, Martinez had physical complications which led to the cancellation of the bout Friday evening.

Martinez was originally set to face Nathaniel Wood, who withdrew from the contest with a broken hand, which opened the door for Rojo to fill in after he also lost his original opponent, Kevin Croom, withdrew for undisclosed reasons.

With the removal, UFC Fight Night 191’s lineup is as follows:

Brunson tipped the scale roughly 53 minutes into the two-hour weigh-in window at 186 pounds, while Till was first to the weigh in, registering at 185.5 pounds.
