Mike Perry targets fights with Jake Paul and ‘fat b*tch’ Darren Till if successful at BKFC KnuckleMania 4

Former UFC fighter and now BKFC star Mike Perry hopes to fight Darren Till or Jake Paul in the future.

[autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] has a couple of names in mind for future fights, two names very familiar to the MMA fan base.

Perry, a fan-favorite former UFC fighter, has been enjoying plenty of success outside MMA, as his career in bareknuckle boxing has taken off. “Platinum” returns to the ring this Saturday against Thiago Alves in the main event of BKFC’s KnuckleMania 4. If successful, he would like to cross paths with former UFC fighter [autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] or YouTube star turned boxer [autotag]Jake Paul[/autotag].

“Darren Till and Jake Paul,” Perry told MMA Junkie when asked about potential future opponents. “Darren Till is a fat b*tch who’s been talking and not fighting. We want to make that fight happen because it’s been a long time and people want to see it, so I’d like to make it happen. So let’s make it happen, so I can punch his fat ass in the face.

“Jake Paul, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and didn’t have to go through the sh*t that I went through. I came up like a normal kid on my bike ridding around the streets, doing sports, and not doing my homework, and sh*t. Jake Paul is taking everything I worked for, so I want to fight that motherf*cker. Put me in the boxing ring.”

Although Perry is angling big fights in the future, his primary focus is this Saturday. He understands Alves is a tough challenge for him and is taking him very seriously.

“Me and Thiago are very similar in stature and size and build,” Perry said. “I believe my skills will show the differences between us, and my abilities in the boxing ring with no gloves. He is experienced to where he’s had two of these boxing matches, but he’s also been on a layoff, so his body is very well rested, and he’s super hungry for this opportunity, and he wants to come and get me for all this sh*t I’m talking, but I know I have to back this sh*t up, and I’m prepared.”

Darren Till pushing for Mike Perry fight – but open to Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz and more

Darren Till’s No. 1 option remains fighting Mike Perry.

[autotag]Darren Till[/autotag]’s No. 1 option remains fighting [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag].

Till and Perry have been on each other’s radars for years, dating back to their 2017 face-off in Poland when Till knocked out Donald Cerrone in the first round at UFC Fight Night 118.

Till hasn’t competed since a submission loss to current title challenger Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282 in December 2022. He then opted to part ways with the UFC in February, and is now looking to venture into the boxing world.

“To be totally honest with you, my mind’s only been set on one thing, on one person: the Mike Perry fight,” Till said in an interview with Boxing Social. “Obviously, he became the ‘King of Violence’ inside (BKFC). It’s a fight that’s been destined now for seven years, me and him. I’m really pushing for it. I don’t know what his team and that are doing, I don’t feel like they’re pushing for it as much.”

Till’s former foe Jorge Masvidal announced that he’s “unretired,” which sparked rumors of a boxing match against Nate Diaz. These names interest Till, too.

“I think that whole scene, now Masvidal and Nate are fighting, Jake Paul, Tommy (Fury), KSI, Perry – that whole thing comes together,” Till said. “Even (Tyron) Woodley’s in it and stuff like that. Any one of them, I feel like it’s a big-money fight. It’s a big fight, especially with my name and their name – all the sh*t before it and the fight. I know I can beat them all, as well.

“Masvidal, yeah, the rematch with Masvidal, so get one back on him. They’re the fights (I want). Let’s say Perry’s at the top of this – Perry’s No. 1 – and they’re all just below Perry. So if I can’t make the Perry fight happen, I’d love to make a fight with one of them happen.”

Darren Till stunned by ‘sh*te’ boxing on The PRIME Card: ‘Hell won tonight… That’s how bad it was’

Darren Till was stunned at how bad the boxing quality of Saturday’s The PRIME Card was.

[autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] was not impressed with what he saw on Saturday at The PRIME Card.

Till, a former UFC title challenger, was present for Misfits Boxing’s event at AO Arena in Manchester, England. It was headlined by a pair of boxing fights, [autotag]Tommy Fury[/autotag] vs. [autotag]KSI[/autotag] and [autotag]Logan Paul[/autotag] vs. [autotag]Dillon Danis[/autotag].

With the event in the books, Till was stunned about how low the quality of the boxing displayed that night was.

“Hell won tonight because we’re living in hell right now. That’s how bad it was,” Till told Seconds Out.

In the co-main event, Danis was out-struck by Paul, before he attempted to grapple and was disqualified.

Till respects Danis for his jiu-jitsu, but was not complimentary of his boxing against Paul.

“He’s terrible,” Till said. “He’s a great jiu-jitsu fighter. … Dillon Danis is a jiu-jitsu fighter. He’s not a boxer. He’s f*cking sh*te. He’s sh*te. They’re all sh*te. What do you want me to say? I’m standing here for one of them to even look at me and say one thing. They’re all sh*te.”

Till mutually agreed with the UFC to terminate his contract earlier this year. and is now a free agent. He went to spectate at The PRIME Card, but also to see if there were any potential fights of interest.

He found none.

“I don’t have much to say,” Till said. “I came here looking for some fights and no one, only ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry wants to fight with me. He’s a proper, real fighter.

“Listen, Tommy Fury, I’ve said it to other people: God bless him. He’s a good guy and I like his family, but he’s awful and they’re all awful. I’d f*cking fight everyone in one night. I’d comatose them all, I promise you. I’m in the best gym right now in Liverpool.”

Darren Till: Khamzat Chimaev ‘is going to ragdoll’ Kamaru Usman at UFC 294

Darren Till expects Khamzat Chimaev to steamroll former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.

[autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] expects [autotag]Khamzat Chimaev[/autotag] to steamroll [autotag]Kamaru Usman[/autotag].

After Paulo Costa wasn’t cleared to fight, Chimaev (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) will now face short-notice replacement Usman (20-3 MMA, 15-2 UFC) in a middleweight bout in Saturday’s UFC 294 co-main event at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The main card airs on pay-per-view at a special time of 2 p.m. ET following prelims on ESPN+.

Till is a good friend and training partner of Chimaev’s, but bias aside, he sees the undefeated Chimaev dominating the former UFC welterweight champion.

“I love Khamzat – God bless him,” Till told The Schmo. “Usman’s got balls, but I just think Khamzat is going to run over him – I do. As much as I’m his friend, I’m his biggest fan, Khamzat. I think he’s going to run over Usman. All respect to him. He is a GOAT, but yeah – I think Khamzat is going to ragdoll him. I do, sorry to say.”

Usman will look to rebound after back-to-back title losses to Leon Edwards. Chimaev will return for the first time since he scored a quick submission of Kevin Holland in September 2022. Chimaev vs. Holland was a 180-pound catchweight bout after Chimaev missed weight by nine pounds in his originally scheduled welterweight bout against Nate Diaz at UFC 279.

Darren Till, Mike Perry engage in verbal spar: ‘I’d knock you clean out with a jab’

Former UFC standouts Darren Till and Mike Perry have reignited their feud in hopes of finally getting matched up.

[autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] and [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] have reignited their feud in hopes of finally getting matched up.

Till and Perry once seemed to be on a collision course while in the UFC after they faced off in the cage when Till knocked out Donald Cerrone in Poland in 2017. A fight between the pair never materialized in the octagon, but Till and Perry did take part in an infamous sparring session.

Perry invited Till on his Overdogs Podcast where they recounted their sparring session and discussed a potential fight.

“My boxing’s just on fire at the moment,” Till said. “I think I would probably knock you out with a jab. Like, that’s just me being real, bro. I don’t know, man. I think I’d knock you clean out with a jab.”

Perryresponded to Till by referencing their sparring session.

“Yeah, when we sparred those years ago, your boxing, you had a good straight left, you had your muay Thai hips, but I ate that straight left because I wanted to feel it,” Perry said. “Then I just got inside and boop, boop, boop.”

Till claimed their sparring session was a war, but Perry disagreed.

“It was fun, but it wasn’t a war. We were both holding back,” Perry said. “It was awkward training at a random time.”

Till revealed that Perry, in fact, cut him during their sparring session, but he doesn’t take that too much into account for a potential fight,

“Everyone asks who won,” Till said. “Let me tell you something: For the last six years, I have never once mentioned who won the spar because I just think sparring doesn’t mean a thing. So, Mike cut me actually. And then the guy came out and said that he thought I won, but I don’t carry any weight with that.”

Perry, who’s had plenty of success under the BKFC banner with wins over Julian Lane, Michael Page, and Luke Rockhold, has a different viewpoint on sparring. He is the current backup for the boxing match between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis on Oct. 14.

“Well, that’s your choice,” Perry said. “See me, I’ve been going into sparring for the past couple years, thinking there are people there to watch. There are families, there are people who watch when I get in the ring at the gym, and they f*cking stand there and, just like the fans at a show, they want to be entertained.

“And they’re going to make a decision mentally, even if they don’t say so, who won in their head. How is Mike looking? How did he do? Does he look like he’s ready for a fight? So I go into sparring with the mentality that it’s me or it’s you, and I’m winning every f*cking chance I get.”

Former title challenger Till opted to part ways with the UFC in February and is looking to explore other ventures such as boxing or bare-knuckle boxing, before attempting to make his way back to the octagon.

Darren Till: Sean O’Malley doesn’t get Dana White privilege, it’s just ‘superstar privilege’

Darren Till says Sean O’Malley isn’t getting preferential treatment from Dana White.

[autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] says Sean O’Malley isn’t getting preferential treatment from [autotag]Dana White[/autotag].

O’Malley (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) stopped Aljamain Sterling by Round 2 TKO to claim the bantamweight title in this past Saturday’s UFC 292 headliner at TD Garden in Boston.

In the lead-up to the fight, Sterling said the quick turnaround was against his will. But Till explains that O’Malley’s push is simply from a business perspective, which is what ultimately matters to the UFC.

“If there is or there isn’t, it doesn’t matter,” Till said in an interview with Betting Sites. “If you’re the guy who’s bringing in the numbers – for example, when I last fought, there were some superstars on the card, one in particular in Paddy (Pimblett). And other times I’ve fought, other times I do interviews, always just look at my views – they always hit the spot. Boom, massive views.

“If you’re bringing them views, you are going to get special treatment. There’s no other way around it. Dana White is not our friend. He might like us, but he’s not our friend. This is a business relationship. Whatever it’s called, ‘Dana White privilege,’ for me it’s just basically superstar privilege. Sean O’Malley is a superstar.”

Till picked Sterling to beat O’Malley and admits “The Sugar Show” exceeded his expectations.

“Sean O’Malley’s coach actually tweeted me after that fight saying how do you feel now? I tweeted back at him saying I feel like a sucker,” Till said. “Right’s right and wrong is wrong, and I was completely wrong. I thought Aljo was going to dominate Sean O’Malley.

“Sean O’Malley proved me and a lot of people wrong. He’s the legitimate champ and he’s a f*cking very good champ. Do I like his style outside the octagon? No, with all the hair and smoking weed all the time and stuff like that. But who am I to say anything? He’s the bantamweight champion of the world, and I congratulate him on all his success.”

O’Malley is a star, but will he ever surpass Conor McGregor? Till says not a chance.

“No,” Till said. “No one’s going to be a bigger name than Conor. Forget about that.”

Darren Till predicts Khamzat Chimaev becomes UFC welterweight champ, but sees Leon Edwards as his toughest test

“I actually think Leon could be his toughest fight. Just because of his takedown defense and his striking.”

[autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] has changed his mind on who [autotag]Khamzat Chimaev[/autotag]’s sternest test at welterweight is.

Till used to see the wrestling and cardio of Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington potentially posing issues for his teammate Chimaev (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC).

But after [autotag]Leon Edwards[/autotag] (21-3 MMA, 13-2 UFC) claimed the welterweight title, he sees the champion’s skillset as the most well-rounded and dangerous for Chimaev.

“I think he’s going to be the welterweight world champion. I really do,” Till said on “Smack Talk With Sandhu.” “I’ve changed my mind on who I think is going to be his toughest fight as well. I used to think Usman or Colby would be his toughest fight.

“I actually think Leon could be his toughest fight. Just because of his takedown defense and his striking. If I had to say his toughest fight in the welterweight division, I think it would be Leon… I’d like to see Khamzat get one more fight before he fights Leon, or potentially just fight Leon straight away.”

[lawrence-related id=2628764,2627184,2619317]

Edwards retained his title against Usman at UFC 286 last month, defeating him for the second straight time. He was able to stuff 11 of Usman’s 15 takedown attempts en route to a majority decision win.

Meanwhile, Chimaev hinted that his next fight will be at middleweight, but is yet to have a fight booked. “Borz” rose up the 170-pound ranks when he outlasted former title challenger Gilbert Burns last April at UFC 273. His next fight was a quick submission of Kevin Holland at UFC 279, but it was a catchweight bout after Chimaev missed weight by a whopping 7.5 pounds for his originally scheduled welterweight bout against Nate Diaz.

Jorge Masvidal says he pitched Gamebred Boxing to former UFC opponent Darren Till

Jorge Masvidal is interested in doing Gamebred Boxing business with a man he knocked out a few years ago in the UFC: Darren Till.

[autotag]Jorge Masvidal[/autotag] is interested in doing business with [autotag]Darren Till[/autotag].

Till amicably parted ways with the UFC in February after he requested his release. The 30-year-old said he received numerous offers since becoming a free agent, and Masvidal said he was one of them.

“We reached out to Darren, actually,” Masvidal said on Michael Bisping’s YouTube channel. “I don’t know who his next immediate matchup is, but we would definitely love to book Darren in some boxing. I know he’s a hell of a competitor, like myself, from first-hand experience. I would love to 100 percent get Darren to work with us in some way and capacity.”

Till teased a big announcement to come in relation to boxing, but didn’t mention any details of where he’s headed. Masvidal recently held his fourth show for Gamebred Boxing, which featured some notable MMA names like former UFC champions Anthony Pettis, Vitor Belfort and Jose Aldo – and he’d like to add Till to his roster.

[lawrence-related id=2629199,2623196,2621318]

Masvidal (35-16 MMA, 12-9 UFC) and Till shared the octagon in March 2019 in London, where Masvidal returned to upset the former title challenger by knockout. That kicked off an incredible 2019 for “Gamebred,” who went on to score a record-setting 5-second knockout of Ben Askren and a TKO of Nate Diaz to capture the UFC’s one-time-only “BMF” belt.

But now, Masvidal finds himself on a three-fight losing skid. He will look to rebound when he faces Gilbert Burns in Saturday’s UFC 287 welterweight co-main event at Kaseya Center in Miami. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.

Darren Till has UFC title aspirations at middleweight, sets timetable for potential return to promotion

Make no mistake about it, Darren Till is still in pursuit of UFC gold even though he recently asked for his release from the promotion.

Make no mistake about it, [autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] still is in pursuit of UFC gold.

Till (18-5-1 MMA, 6-5-1 UFC) requested his release from the UFC in February after he suffered from multiple lingering knee injuries that impacted his recent results.

Till parted ways with the UFC after he went 1-5 in his past six fights. But the former welterweight title challenger is eager to reclaim contention status in the UFC and capture middleweight gold down the road.

“(I want the title), 100 percent,” Till said in an interview with Neue Online Casinos. “My aspirations haven’t changed in that sense. Obviously when money comes and money goes, ideas and mindsets change. But I’ve still got that mindset. I’m only 30. Most of the UFC champions are 34 or 35, and I’ve already been at the top at 30, so I know I can do it.

“I just need to be directed in the right way and need make sure my body is fit and healthy – and my mind. Regardless of how much money I make outside the UFC now or what I do, that is definitely what I want to do is ultimately in two to three years, be back in the UFC and having them big fights inside the UFC again.”

[lawrence-related id=2623196,2621318,2621227]

Till teased a big announcement to come soon and said he’s already received multiple offers from the likes of PFL, as well as a lucrative one from a Polish organization that he didn’t name.

“There’s a Polish organization who offered me a lot of money to do, I think it was first round muay Thai, second round MMA, third round boxing and fourth round karate – some stuff like that. They offered a lot of money to do it, so I was in talks, and I actually would be stupid to turn it down, so we’ll see what they come back with. But it was a crazy concept what they wanted to do.”

Darren Till tells BKFC to make ‘astronomical offer’ for him to ‘f*ck Mike Perry up’

Now that both men are no longer under UFC contract, a long-awaited showdown between Darren Till and Mike Perry could realistically happen.

Now that both men are no longer under UFC contract, a long-awaited showdown between [autotag]Darren Till[/autotag] and [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] could realistically happen.

Former welterweight title challenger Till was granted his request for a UFC release this month, making him one of the most coveted free agents in combat sports. The Brit has said he will be surveying all his options as he looks to rectify lingering health issues, and one of the compelling options of BKFC.

In particular, a matchup between Till and Perry that has been teased for years could finally come to fruition. Perry has been fighting outside the UFC after parting ways in 2021, and is currently scheduled to face former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the main event of BKFC 41 on April 29.

“The likes of boxing and BKFC and some of these are others (are options), if the money is right – and the offers I’ve been getting thrown at me have been a little bit crazy,” Till told MMA Junkie. “I didn’t know offers like that existed. I’m sure I could go in there and f*ck Mike Perry up, as we were meant to fight. Make a bit of money, get the body healthy, and whether the UFC like it or not, get back to the UFC. That’s still my main focus.”

[lawrence-related id=2622718,2621318,2621227]

Shortly after news of Till’s release surfaced, BKFC officials issued a statement to MMA Junkie expressing interest in acquiring his services. Till expects an offer to come through, but said it better be a lucrative one, or he won’t give it any consideration.

“They’re going to approach me, but if they are going to approach me, don’t waste my time,” Till said. “Offer me something astronomical. Otherwise, nope. I don’t need it.”

Till and Perry have had a rollercoaster relationship where they were bitter rivals, cordial training partners and everything in between. Perry has found success out of the octagon with BKFC, however, and Till said he’s curious to see how the fight with Rockhold plays out.

“Mike’s a dog, but Luke’s big – Luke’s a big dude,” Till said. “They’re fighting 185, but listen, it’s bare knuckle fighting. Anything can happen. Has Luke still got the chin that he once had? Don’t know, so it’s a good fight. They’re going to lose a lot of brain cells, so I hope they’re getting paid for it.”
