Report: Missouri starting QB ruled out for Georgia game

The Missouri Tigers will be without starting quarterback Connor Bazelak on Nov. 6 against Georgia.

The Missouri Tigers will be without starting quarterback Connor Bazelak on Nov. 6 against Georgia, Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports reports.

Bazelak has played in all eight of Missouri’s games to start the season. He’s thrown 13 touchdown passes and eight interceptions. The sophomore quarterback has compiled 2,138 passing yards this season.

Bazelak suffered an injury against Vanderbilt that is forcing him out for Missouri’s trip to Athens, Georgia.

The (4-4) Missouri Tigers already faced a tall task against (8-0) Georgia’s elite defense. Now they will have to play with an inexperienced quarterback.

Yahoo’s Pete Thamel broke the news of Bazelak’s status. Missouri will turn to Brady Cook and Tyler Macon in his absence.

Cook and Macon have combined to throw for only 98 passing yards this season on just nine attempts. Both players are former three-star recruits.

MSU Football offers two 2022 offensive line prospects out of Colorado

Michigan State Football offered two 2022 offensive line prospects over the weekend.

The story of Michigan State Football over this coronavirus quarantine has been on the recruiting front, where Mel Tucker has been sending out scholarship offers left and right. In one of the latest batches of offers sent out, Tucker took advantage of his time spent in Colorado, offering two 2022 offensive line prospects from Colorado.

They are:

  • Grayson Stovall, OT, Regis Jesuit High School
  • Braden Miller, OT, Eaglecrest High School

Tucker’s respect as a coach and recruiter will have an immediate impact for the Spartans as he looks to capitalize on the connections he made at Colorado while he also starts to spread roots in his new home in Michigan.

MSU Football offers 2021 3-star QB currently committed to Missouri

Michigan State has offered a scholarship to 2021 dual threat quarterback Tyler Macon out of East St. Louis, Illinois.

Quarantine or not, Mel Tucker and the Michigan State Football recruiting team have not slowed any of the momentum they brought to the program when Tucker joined a month ago, firing off seemingly multiple offers a day to top recruits around the country. On Sunday, 3-star quarterback Tyler Macon out of East St. Louis, Illinois announced that he received an offer from MSU.

This is an interesting bit of recruiting news because Macon is already committed to Missouri, but perhaps the addition of Mel Tucker to the Spartans could sway his commitment.

Macon is the No. 19 ranked dual threat quarterback in the 2021 class according to the 247sports composite rankings.
