Mike Evans is ready for Year 7

Mike Evans took to Instagram to show off his new Bucs threads.

Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans will look to break his tie with Hall of Famer Randy Moss this season if he can get his seventh-straight 1,000-yard season, which would be the most ever by a receiver to begin his career.

Fortunately, Evans will be playing with a Hall of Fame quarterback in Tom Brady, who actually played with Moss when the wide receiver was a member of the New England Patriots.

Evans is already the Bucs’ franchise-leader in receiving yards, but he still doesn’t seem to get the national recognition and respect he deserves. Hopefully, that all changes in 2020 with a new quarterback and new look.

Evans posted the below picture recently on Instagram, showing off his sweet new Tampa Bay threads with the caption “Year 7.”

Tom Brady says every player will have to ‘earn their role’

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady spoke to the media today about his new teammates.

Tom Brady is no stranger to training camp as he enters his 21st NFL season. He is, however, a stranger when it comes to Buccaneers camp.

The future Hall of Famer left the New England Patriots this offseason for the Sunshine State. The Bucs have a high-powered offense, but have been in need of a star quarterback with championship experience for some time. The marriage between Brady and the Bucs seemed almost too good to be true for fans.

And even though he is just getting a taste of what this offense can be, Brady is already singing the praises of his new teammates, calling Mike Evans and Chris Godwin great leaders.

But Brady, a former sixth-round pick, knows that nothing is handed to you in the NFL. Everything is earned.

Watch the Bucs quarterback talk more about his new team below.

Tom Brady (and his watch) are ready for the next chapter

Bucs QB Tom Brady took to Instagram today to show his excitement for the start of his Tampa Bay career.

While training camp is set to get underway next week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, today is the day rookies and quarterbacks will report, which means Tom Brady’s career in Tampa will officially be underway.

The future Hall of Famer is looking to prove doubters wrong this season, and show that he can win without mastermind Bill Belichick on the sidelines. Brady seems ready for the challenge, as he’s been putting in countless hours over the past few months working out at a local Tampa prep school with some of his teammates.

Today, Brady took to Instagram to show off his excitement for the next chapter in his career.

Take a look.

Buccaneers move rookie report date to Thursday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that rookies will report on Thursday the 23rd instead of Tuesday the 21st.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are scheduled to open training camp with their full roster next Tuesday, July 28, assuming the NFL remains on track for teams to report. Several players took to social media yesterday to voice their concern about returning given the lack of safety protocols in place during the coronavirus pandemic.

But as of now, the Tom Brady era in Tampa will officially get underway next week when the entire team (hopefully) assembles.

Today, though, the Bucs announced that they’ll move their rookie report date to Thursday, July 23, the same day quarterbacks are scheduled to arrive. The rookie report date was originally slated for Tuesday, July 21.

Per Buccaneers senior writer Scott Smith:

“There are 20 rookies on Tampa Bay’s 90-man offseason roster, which actually has three open spots at the moment. That rookie group includes the team’s seven-man 2020 draft class: tackle Tristan Wirfs, safety Antoine Winfield Jr., running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn, wide receiver Tyler Johnson, defensive tackle Khalil Davis, linebacker Chapelle Russell and running back Raymond Calais.”

Tom Brady’s got a pretty cool alarm clock

Bucs QB Tom Brady showed off his impressive alarm clock on Instagram.

Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is set to begin his first training camp with Tampa Bay in just a short time, which means the days of sleeping in at home may be over soon.

Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like the six-time Super Bowl champion will have a problem waking up for work, given that he’s got a pretty cool alarm clock.

Check out Brady’s recent Instagram post.

Bucs tweet out photos of Tom Brady in his Buccaneers jersey

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tweeted out official photos of Tom Brady donning his new Bucs uniform.

When Tom Brady signed with the Buccaneers as a free agent back in March, it took a while for the reality of the situation to actually sink in, mainly because we weren’t gifted with the usual introductory news conference that accompanies a major free-agent signing.

The coronavirus pandemic made it impossible for us to see Brady roaming around the Bucs facility in his new team’s attire. We were treated to some photos of Brady wearing his Bucs helmet last month when he did a workout with some teammates at a local Tampa prep school.

But, let’s face it, that’s not good enough. Fortunately, the Buccaneers decided the time was right to unveil their new quarterback’s look to the world, tweeting out the below photos of the six-time Super Bowl champion in his official Buccaneers uniform(s).

Take a look.

The Bucs unveiled the new jerseys back in April, and I have to say, Brady looks great in these new Bucs threads. Know what else would go great with these uniforms? A Super Bowl ring.

Your move, Brady.

Tom Brady selling his modified Cadillac Escalade for a cool $300K

Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is putting his Cadillac Escalade up for sale, and you need to see how sweet this car is.

It’s been an offseason of change for Tom Brady, who left the New England Patriots after 20 years to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It’s out with the old and in with the new for the 42-year-old future Hall of Famer, and that includes saying goodbye to his old car (although, I’m pretty sure his definition of “old car” differs from ours).

According to a listing on Becker Automotive Design, Brady is selling his Cadillac Escalade ESV for a cool $300K. Take a look at Brady’s description of the vehicle below followed by some pictures of the interior.

Per Brady:

Parting ways with my Becker ESV won’t be easy. From day one it became my sanctuary from the outside noise. I took pride in picking out all the customizations of the ESV; from the trim of the seats to the color of the rug. With such limited time in my busy schedule the ESV gave me those extra minutes to study my play book, make phone calls and be with my family. Immediately my productivity went up and my stress came down. I hope the next owner will take great care of her; she will always be a part of the Brady family.”

I’d love to see what his new ride looks like.

New York Post reports on Tom Brady moving into Derek Jeter’s house as only they can

See what the New York Post had to say about Tom Brady moving into Derek Jeter’s house.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will be playing for a new team in 2020 for the first time since he ended his 20-year run with the New England Patriots last month.

Brady, the six-time Super Bowl champion, will look to lead a Bucs team back to the postseason for the first time since 2007. And with an offense that has receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin lining up alongside him, the chances of a return to the playoffs seem better than ever.

But Brady’s arrival in Tampa meant he had to face another challenge: finding a place to live. Fortunately, it’s good to have nice (and rich) friends. Brady and his family will reportedly move into the house of former New York Yankees great Derek Jeter, who currently serves as the CEO and part owner of the Miami Marlins (yes, they still exist).

The New York Post reported the news as only they can — with puns. Check it out below.

I’m sure Patriots fans in Boston have mixed feelings about this.

Todd McShay’s post-free agency mock draft has the Bucs landing a stud OT

See which offensive tackle Todd McShay thinks the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be able to snag in round one of the 2020 NFL draft.

With NFL free agency already a few weeks in, team’s draft boards are beginning to take shape as we approach this month’s NFL draft.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, free agency allowed them to address a number of needs and retain several key members of their defense. Ndamukong Suh, Jason Pierre-Paul and NFL-sack leader Shaq Barrett will all be back in a Bucs uniform next season, along with prized free agent Tom Brady.

With the defensive line looking solid at the moment, the Bucs can now turn their attention to fixing their offensive line, especially now that they have a six-time Super Bowl champion under center. Several mock drafts like the Bucs taking an offensive tackle with the 14th pick in round one, and Todd McShay’s newest post-free agency mock draft has Tampa Bay landing a stud OT in Louisville’s Mekhi Becton.

Per McShay:

“I had Georgia running back D’Andre Swift going to Tampa Bay in my last mock, and it’s still a possibility. But after going all-in on Tom Brady, the Bucs really need to focus on protecting him. And right tackle is a priority with Demar Dotson not likely to return. The 6-foot-7, 364-pound Becton carries his frame incredibly well and would help reduce Tampa Bay’s 2019 tally of 47 sacks allowed.”

This would be a huge win for the Bucs if Becton fell to them at 14. Mock drafts have had him going in the top 10 and some even in the top 5. He blew people away with his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine and could be put on the right side of the Bucs’ line from Day 1.

McShay’s mock was a two-rounder, and he predicts the Bucs will go defense with the 45th pick in round two, taking safety Jeremy Chinn out of Southern Illinois.

“Only two teams gave up more passing yards than the Bucs’ 270.1 per game in 2019, and Chinn comes with versatility to move around in the secondary.”

The Bucs hit a home run in free agency. Now, let’s see if they can hit one in the draft.

This Tom Brady picture takes on a whole new meaning now that he’s a Buccaneer

Now that Tom Brady is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this picture from over a decade ago seems all the more meaningful now.

Tom Brady will always be remembered as the sixth-round pick who turned the New England Patriots into six-time Super Bowl champions during his 20-year run with the team.

But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and Brady’s tenure in New England did just that this offseason, much to the chagrin of Patriots fans everywhere. Fortunately, their loss was the Bucs’ gain, as Brady chose to make Tampa Bay his new team. A roster filled with talent on both sides of the ball has the Bucs thinking not just postseason berth, but Super Bowl berth. Plus, Super Bowl LV will take place at Raymond James Stadium, meaning the stage is set for the Bucs to have a magical 2020 season, with Brady the one waving the wand and leading the charge.

Even though Brady has yet to officially suit up for the Bucs, aside from getting his No. 12 jersey from Chris Godwin, he’s already been dubbed the greatest free agent signing in team history. And regardless of what happens in Tampa Bay, Brady will now forever be linked to the Bucs franchise. Which is why the below picture takes on a whole new meaning now.

Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images

The picture was taken during a preseason matchup between the Bucs and Patriots back in August of 2007. Brady and Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Brooks only squared off once in the regular season, back in 2005, when Brady’s Patriots beat Brooks and the Jon Gruden-coached Buccaneers 28-0 at Gillette Stadium. Brady was sacked only once in that game. Not by Brooks, but by Simeon Rice, who’d finish the year with 14.0 sacks.

I guess you can caption this picture, “Two of the greatest Buccaneers ever.”
