Bucs tweet out photos of Tom Brady in his Buccaneers jersey

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tweeted out official photos of Tom Brady donning his new Bucs uniform.

When Tom Brady signed with the Buccaneers as a free agent back in March, it took a while for the reality of the situation to actually sink in, mainly because we weren’t gifted with the usual introductory news conference that accompanies a major free-agent signing.

The coronavirus pandemic made it impossible for us to see Brady roaming around the Bucs facility in his new team’s attire. We were treated to some photos of Brady wearing his Bucs helmet last month when he did a workout with some teammates at a local Tampa prep school.

But, let’s face it, that’s not good enough. Fortunately, the Buccaneers decided the time was right to unveil their new quarterback’s look to the world, tweeting out the below photos of the six-time Super Bowl champion in his official Buccaneers uniform(s).

Take a look.

The Bucs unveiled the new jerseys back in April, and I have to say, Brady looks great in these new Bucs threads. Know what else would go great with these uniforms? A Super Bowl ring.

Your move, Brady.

Bill Barnwell has just one gripe with the Buccaneers’ offseason

Bill Barnwell said the Bucs had the best offseason in the NFL, but had just one issue.

2020 may be the year of the Buccaneer in the NFL after Tampa Bay had one of the biggest offseasons in recent memory, landing quarterback Tom Brady and trading for tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Despite a 7-9 finish to last season, the Bucs have their eyes set on the postseason and more, hoping to become the first team ever to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium (Super Bowl LV will be played at Raymond James Stadium).

With a fresh look and new optimism, the Bucs will be the team to watch in 2020, and with five prime-time games scheduled, you can be sure all eyes will be on them in Year 1 of the Brady era.

Bill Barnwell at ESPN loves what Tampa Bay did this offseason, ranking them first on his list of best offseasons. Barnwell had little issue with personnel moves, but had one minor gripe with the Bucs when answering the question of what they could have done differently?

Per Barnwell:

Brought back the Creamsicle jerseys. I can’t think of any personnel decisions the Buccaneers should have handled differently this offseason. Even if Brady disappoints, there’s no way they could or should have turned down the opportunity to add him. If I have to come up with one just for the sake of being complete, maybe they should have added a better backup quarterback behind Brady than Blaine Gabbert?”

I’m sure many fans were hoping for a return of the creamsicle jerseys, but let’s be honest, that look isn’t really associated with winning. Tampa Bay’s new threads are a call back to their championship days, which they are hoping to replicate this season.

Patriots unveil new uniforms for the post-Brady era

With Tom Brady now a Buccaneer, the New England Patriots decided to change their uniforms for the post-Brady era.

When Tom Brady officially signed his contract to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, many media outlets and gaming companies quickly scrambled to create an image of Brady in a Bucs uniform. You know, those ones with the alarm clock lettering.

Fortunately, Brady won’t have to don that jersey this fall as the Bucs recently unveiled their new threads, which is a call back to their glory days of yesteryear, which included a Super Bowl championship in 2002. Brady will certainly look good in the Bucs color scheme after wearing those outdated Patriots uniforms the entirety of his 20-year career.

And while the Bucs have new unis to usher in the Brady era in Tampa Bay, the Patriots have decided to change their uniforms, as well, to usher in the post-Brady era in New England.

Take a look.

The Patriots promoted their Color Rush uniforms to their primary ones, something fans have been wanting for years since they were first introduced. As I noted the other week, the Patriots were in desperate need of a jersey upgrade and this is a great way to do it. Plus, those old jerseys belong to the Tom Brady era. Let them leave with him.
