9 better titles for The Batman sequel (that DC doesn’t have the courage to use)

We came up with some more exciting sequel names for The Batman

James Gunn, the new creative force behind the soon-to-be revamped DC Comics universe (DCU), announced the future of the movie and television world for characters like Batman, Superman and more. The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) has been chaotic at best over the past decade plus, feeling clunky and disconnected. Gunn, who found massive success with the Marvel Cinematic Universe — namely the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy — is looking to fill a similar role for DC as Kevin Feige does for Marvel.

This means a reboot of Superman (Henry Cavill is having to put down his cape despite being perfect for the role), adding a new DCU Batman and more.

But what about Robert Pattinson’s recent Batman? Don’t worry — or do, if you’re concerned that there will be multiple caped crusaders (and a separate Joker movie) — he’ll be reprising his role in a sequel coming out in 2025.

If you thought they were going to get creative with the title, you guessed wrong. They opted for the very straight forward The Batman – Part II. Since we’re a generous bunch over here at For the Win, we came up with a few snazzier names for the sequel to the highly regarded The Batman.

  • The Batman: Batman Harder
  • 2 Fast 2 Batman
  • Panic! At The Batman
  • The Batmen
  • The Batsman
  • Batman 2: The Squeakquel
  • Batman 2: Here We Go Again
  • THE Batman State University
  • Batman: Maverick

Someone made a ‘Ted Lasso’ version of ‘The Batman’ trailer and it’s perfect

So. Good.

WARNING: TED LASSO SEASON 2 SPOILERS AHEAD! STOP READING IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED SEASON 2!

Ready?

OK!

There’s not much more to say about what you’re about to watch beyond the headline.

But: The Batman — starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell and directed by Matt Reeves — trailer dropped this week, and it looks pretty darn good.

Someone took the concept and applied it to Ted Lasso, especially with the Nate storyline taking over the back end of Season 2, and wow it’s fantastic.

So here’s the Lasso version, followed by the actual Batman trailer so you can compare the two (WARNING: NSFW language ahead!):

What DC Universe movies are coming after ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’?

Ready for more? DC has a handful of movies on the way.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is streaming on HBO Max, and it’s likely the movie has you wondering whether more DC comic book movies are on the horizon. Well, there’s plenty on the way.

If you’re one of those fans that loved The Snyder Cut, I’ve got bad news: there’s no sequel on the schedule. It’s likely one will never be made, with Warner Bros. bringing that movie back to life essentially as fan service.

Onto the good news. There are a handful of movies in the works, including one starring Robert Pattinson as the new Batman — and another film including a previous Batman (?!). Here’s a look at what’s coming.

Jameis Winston embraces the villain role in latest Instagram post

Take a look at Jameis Winston’s latest Instagram post, where he takes some inspiration from Tom Hardy’s Bane.

Say what you want about Jameis Winston, but he’s one of the more exciting NFL players to follow on Instagram. From belting out the ABCs with his son to offering tips on parenting, the soon-to-be free agent QB certainly seems to have his hands full this offseason.

But let’s not forget that Winston is also a professional, and regardless of where he ends up once the free agency dust settles, he’ll be competing to play in 2020. Winston knows better than anyone the criticism that’s been swirling around him in Tampa Bay the last few years, and after a season in which he threw 30 interceptions, the Bucs might finally be ready to move on.

To his credit, Winston seems to know the deck may be stacked against him right now with the Bucs, which might be why he’s embracing the role of the villain in his latest Instagram post, quoting Tom Hardy’s Bane from the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises.

Take a look.

All right, so maybe Winston is just quoting Bane because he looks like him in the picture wearing that mask. Still, it’s good to see Winston putting in the work with his fresh set of eyes.

For those of you jonesing for some Tom Hardy Bane, I’ve got you covered.
