The North Dakota State Bison (2-5, 2-1 Summit) visit the TCU Horned Frogs (6-2, 1-1 Big 12) Tuesday for a 9 p.m. tip at Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Below, we analyze the North Dakota State-TCU college basketball betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

North Dakota State at TCU: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 6:25 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: North Dakota State +575 (bet $100 to win $575) | TCU -900 (bet $900 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: North Dakota +12 (-115) | TCU -12 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 128.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

North Dakota State at TCU: Three things to know

  1. After an 0-5 SU start, North Dakota State has rattled off a pair of victories against South Dakota and rival North Dakota. While their overall record isn’t terribly attractive, they do have covers in losses to ranked teams Creighton and Kansas. In fact, they only lost by four in Lawrence against the Jayhawks on Dec. 5, easily covering a 25-point number.
  2. TCU has losses to Providence and Oklahoma, but there’s no shame in those games. They also won on the road against Oklahoma State last time out, taking it outright as a five-point underdog. In fact, they have won each of their past two as a ‘dog, also topping Texas A&M on a neutral court. The Over is 4-1 in the past five for TCU.
  3. North Dakota State has struggled on offense, posting just 60.9 PPG to rank 315th in the nation, while hitting just 39.0 from the field. The one thing they’re very good at doing is hitting free throws, going 77.3 percent from the charity stripe.

North Dakota State at TCU: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

TCU 71, North Dakota State 62

Money line (ML)

TCU (-900) will cost you nine times your potential return, and that’s risky behavior. North Dakota State’s (+575) near-miss at Kansas should serve as a cautionary tale. This is a team capable of springing an upset, and they’re not intimidated playing on the road against top teams. AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

NORTH DAKOTA STATE +12 (-115) has hit against the number in four of the past five, including those covers against KU and Creighton. Meanwhile, TCU is just 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS in four games on their home floor so far this season. Look for another non-cover for the Frogs.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 128.5 (-110) is worth a small-unit bet, although it won’t be a terribly high-scoring affair. The Over has connected in four of the past five at home for TCU, including its past three at home.

TCU at Oklahoma State odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s TCU Horned Frogs at Oklahoma State Cowboys sports betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Texas Christian Horned Frogs (5-2, 0-1 Big 12) visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-0, 0-0) Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla. Below, we analyze the TCU-Oklahoma State college basketball betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

TCU at Oklahoma State: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 2:30 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: TCU +185 (bet $100 to win $185) | Oklahoma State -225 (bet $225 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: TCU +5 (-110) | Oklahoma State -5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 134.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)

TCU at Oklahoma State: Three things to know

  1. The Horned Frogs are coming off their most impressive win of the season, a 73-55 victory against Texas A&M at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, in what officially was considered a neutral-site game despite being in TCU’s backyard.
  2. TCU is 3-4 ATS so far this season, covering its only conference tilt to date. They lost 82-78 at home to Oklahoma but narrowly covered at most shops on a 4.5-point spread as the Over (137.5) connected. The Over is 3-1 in the previous four for the Frogs.
  3. OK State was also rather impressive last time out, bagging a 67-64 win at Wichita State on Dec. 12 to keep its record unblemished at 6-0 SU. They’re 0-2-1 ATS in the past three, including a push against the Shockers. As a favorite of five or more points in 2020, the Cowboys are just 1-4 ATS.

TCU at Oklahoma State: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oklahoma State 70, TCU 61

Money line (ML)

Oklahoma State (-225) is unbeaten so far, and it’s a very good possibility that they’ll win. Still, risking more than two times your potential return is just a little more than my personal limit for money lines, which is -180. PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

OKLAHOMA STATE -5 (-110) is just 1-4 ATS across the past five at home, but they’re 6-2 ATS in the previous eight against winning teams. TCU +5 (-110) is also just 2-8 ATS in the past 10 on the road dating back to last season, and 2-6 ATS in the past eight overall. The home team has connected in nine of the past 13 in this series, too. Back the Cowboys.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 134.5 (-115) is a good play since TCU has been a pretty good defensive team this season. The Horned Frogs are yielding just 63.7 PPG, and holding the opposition to a 26.9 percent mark from behind the 3-point line.

OK State is averaging 77.3 PPG, and they’re limiting the opposition to 38.1 percent from the field. Defense will prevail in this one, as the Under hits ever so slightly.

Oklahoma State at TCU odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Oklahoma State Cowboys at TCU Horned Frogs sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The No. 18 Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-2 overall 5-2 Big 12) visit the TCU Horned Frogs (4-4, 4-4) Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium for a Big 12 showdown at noon ET. Below, we analyze the Oklahoma State-TCU college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Cowboys are ranked No. 18 in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oklahoma State at TCU: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Oklahoma State -134 (bet $134 to win $100) | TCU +110 (bet $100 to win $110)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Oklahoma State -2.5 (-110) | TCU +2.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 51.5 (O: -106 | U: -115)

Oklahoma State at TCU: Three things to know

  1. Oklahoma State recovered from its prior week loss to in-state rival Oklahoma by putting a 50-burger on Texas Tech. However, the Cowboys were out-gained by 100 total yards and failed to cover as 12-point favorites in the 50-44 win last week.
  2. TCU blew the doors off of Kansas last week and covered as 23-point road favorites. The Horned Frogs outrushed the Jayhawks by 296 yards, had 12 tackles for a loss and 4 sacks in 59-23 whooping.
  3. The Cowboys were a 1-point home dog against TCU last season but won 34-27 in large part due to an awesome performance by RB Chuba Hubbard. He had 20 carries for 223 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

Oklahoma State at TCU: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

TCU 27, Oklahoma State 24

Money line (ML)

If TCU can take away Oklahoma State’s run game then QB Spencer Sanders could be in for a rough game.

TCU’s defensive line stacks up nicely against Oklahoma State’s offensive line. It grades out as 19th in line yards per carry and ninth in stuff rate, according to Football Outsiders. The Cowboys offensive line is 96th in line yards per carry and 85th in stuff rate.

RB Dezmon Jackson (36 carries for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns) stepped up in a big way with Hubbard and RB LD Brown sidelined last week, but that was against a terrible Texas Tech run defense. TCU has a much better defense than Texas Tech and head coach Gary Patterson is a defensive mastermind.

This leads us to the disruption TCU could cause for the Oklahoma State offense. TCU is ninth in havoc created and Oklahoma State is 101st in havoc allowed. Sanders has been known to hold onto the ball a little longer than he should, which is a big reason Oklahoma State is 102nd in QB sacked rate.

GIMME TCU (+110) for a half-unit.

Against the spread (ATS)

This is just a great spot for TCU. The favorite is 0-5 ATS in the last five Oklahoma State-TCU games and the home team has covered six of the last eight.

I’d wait to see if this line goes up to TCU +3 because more money is coming in on Oklahoma State currently (according to Pregame.com). Either way, let’s get some insurance on our money line wager.

TAKE TCU +2.5 (-110) for 1.5 units.

Over/Under (O/U)

lean Under 51.5 (-115) but officially PASS ON THE TOTAL. TCU could get defensive scores or short fields with the havoc it creates. However, both teams have gone Under the total in two of their last three games and are both led by their defenses.

TCU at West Virginia odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s TCU Horned Frogs at West Virginia Mountaineers sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The TCU Horned Frogs (3-3 overall, 3-3 Big 12) tangle with the West Virginia Mountaineers (4-3, 3-3) in a Saturday afternoon contest in Morgantown, W.Va. Kickoff will be at noon ET. Below, we analyze the TCU-West Virginia college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

TCU at West Virginia: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday at 5:40 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: TCU +125 (bet $100 to win $125) | West Virginia -150 (bet $150 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: TCU +3 (-110) | West Virginia -3 (-110)
  • Over/Under: Over/Under: 45.5 (O: -106 | U: -115)

TCU at West Virginia: Three things to know

  • The TCU offense has produced just six aerial touchdowns in as many games this fall. The Horned Frogs have averaged 211.7 passing yards per game (85th in FBS). Things don’t figure to trend the other way this week: West Virginia ranks fourth in the nation in passing yardage allowed. The Mountaineers have yielded just 161.6 passing yards per game.
  • West Virginia QB Jarrett Doege is a fourth-year talent who has thrown 57 TD passes and 21 picks over his career. After throwing a combined three interceptions in games against Baylor (Oct. 3) and Kansas (Oct. 17), Doege has responded by logging three straight 300-yard games without a pick. Over that stretch, the WVU signal-caller has thrown 134 passes.
  • WVU has won three of the last four meetings in this series (4-0 against the spread). The Mountaineers won in Ft. Worth last fall, beating the Frogs 20-17 in a defensive struggle which produced just 541 combined yards ad five turnovers.

TCU at West Virginia: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

West Virginia 27, TCU 24

Money line (ML)

Both teams have a couple of one-score losses this season, but TCU figures to have a bit more momentum. There is quite a bit of gray area, however, in quantifying much more than that. In a game that should perhaps have more of a one-and-a-half-point line, TAG A SLIGHT LEAN ON TCU (+125) due to some value on the price.

Against the spread (ATS)

Too many conflicting signals: PASS.

Over/Under (O/U)

The profiles of these teams have the total tamped down into the mid-40s. Peg that total as yielding some value on the high side. Both defenses are adept at creating havoc, enough so to set up several short-field scores. Figure TCU as being able to stay on schedule perhaps more than is suggested by surface numbers and apply the same logic to West Virginia’s big-play potential.

Throw in a default setting for 2020 college football, and BACK THE OVER 45.5 (-106).

Texas Tech at TCU odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Texas Tech Red Raiders at TCU Horned Frogs sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (2-4) visit the TCU Horned Frogs (2-3) for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Below, we analyze the Texas Tech-TCU college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Texas Tech at TCU: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 5:25 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Texas Tech +260 (bet $100 to win $260) | TCU -334 (bet $1334 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Texas Tech +9.5 (-106) | TCU -9.5 (-115)
  • Over/Under: 61.5 (O: -106 | U: -115)

Texas Tech at TCU: Three things to know

  1. TCU visited Baylor and took care of business last week, beating the Bears 33-23 and covering the spread as 2.5-point road favorites. The Horned Frogs got out to a 30-0 first-half lead before taking their foot off the gas. TCU’s ground game was the deciding factor in the matchup as it rushed for 247 yards compared to Baylor’s 75 rushing yards.

  2. Texas Tech got crushed 62-28 by the Oklahoma Sooners last week. The Red Raiders were up 7-0 before Oklahoma scored six unanswered touchdowns, putting the game out of reach. Texas Tech didn’t help its own cause, committing 11 penalties for 85 yards and losing the turnover battle 3-0.

  3. These teams have played some strange head-to-head games over the years. Three of the last 10 Texas Tech-TCU contests have gone over 100 combined points. Four of the games have combined for 31, 30, 30 and 15 points. TCU won 33-31 last season, but these sides have split the previous four meetings.

Texas Tech at TCU: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

TCU 34, Texas Tech 17

Money line (ML)

TCU (-334) is the side I’m on in this one but I am not paying that price for the Horned Frogs. Texas Tech (+260) has won five of the last 10 meetings between these teams so an upset is not out of the question. Let’s hit TCU on the spread and PASS ON THE MONEY LINE.

Against the spread (ATS)

I have all the faith in the world that TCU -9.5 (-115) can get to 30 points in this game but I am not sure Texas Tech (+9.5, -106) can. The Red Raiders have given up 30-plus points in five of their six games, including a 35-33 win over FCS Houston Baptist in the first game of the year. Furthermore, Texas Tech’s defense is ranked 113th in ESPN’s SP+ rankings.

Also, TCU’s edge in special teams (33rd-ranked SP+ special teams rating compared to Texas Tech’s 102nd ranking) and defense could give its offense short fields to work with. Texas Tech is minus-4 in turnover differential.

I expect TCU head coach Gary Patterson to take away Texas Tech’s run game and force its shaky quarterbacks to throw against a Horned Frogs secondary allowing the lowest completion percentage in the Big XII.

Texas Tech’s offensive line is 54th in line yards per carry and 71st in stuff rate, going against a TCU defensive line which ranks 22nd in opponent’s line yards per carry and 17th in stuff rate, according to Football Outsiders. TCU might not need to use many linebackers and safeties to help with the run.

BET TCU -9.5 (-115).

Over/Under (O/U)

TCU’s offense is pretty mediocre, with the Horned Frogs ranked 80th in the country in points per game, eighth (out of 10 teams) in yards per play in the Big XII and they’ve put up a couple of clunkers this year.

We are on TCU for its defense so I LEAN UNDER 61.5 (-115).
