Rashee Rice, Chiefs WRs support Travis Kelce with unique shirts during pre-game warmups

Rashee Rice and members of the #Chiefs’ receiving corps showed their support for star TE Travis Kelce with unique shirts during warmups.

The Kansas City Chiefs are warming up at SoFi Stadium ahead of their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, and eagle-eyed fans spotted something unique as the defending champions loosened up.

Kansas City’s wide receivers seem to be offering some moral support to star tight end Travis Kelce, who has gotten off to a slow start in the Chiefs’ 2024 regular season campaign.

Perhaps hoping to help his production rebound against the Chargers, Kansas City’s pass-catchers wore Kelce-themed shirts as they went through their pre-game routines.

Check out these pictures of the shirts, which were posted to Twitter by CBS Sports Lead NFL Reporter Tracy Wolfson:

Though it appears that there weren’t enough shirts for rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy to get in on the gag, Rashee Rice was among the Chiefs spotted wearing the supportive garb on the sideline.

Stay tuned to see if this pre-game ritual helps Kelce get back on track against Los Angeles this weekend.

Steelers are bringing in extra support for their recent penalty issues

Steelers are bringing in officials on extra days of practice to assist with penalty woes.

Aside from a subpar offense, one of the key differences between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the eight other undefeated teams is that the Steelers have the second-most penalties against them in the league.  This was on display in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos, as the Steelers had multiple flags called against them.  Several of these penalties, from both Week 1 and Week 2, wiped away key moments of success for the Steelers.

Mike Tomlin acknowledged this in Tuesday’s media availability and stated that the Steelers would be looking to change things up.

Hopefully, these two extra days with officials will make a key difference in dealing with the troubling penalty bug that has crept into the Pittsburgh locker room.

This week the Steelers have their home opener. They take on the Los Angeles Chargers who are among the nine undefeated teams left in the NFL along with the Steelers.

WATCH: Alabama football posts powerful video in support of ‘Black Lives Matter’

Alabama football released a powerful video on Twitter voicing there support for the ongoing ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide have usually limited themselves to statements from coaches and staff regarding political or societal issues. However, a little over a month after posting a video encouraging people to wear a mask to help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus, they have published a video with a powerful message in support of the ongoing ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.

The video, which was written by senior offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood, features Alabama football players of all races. Players such as Mac Jones, Jayen Waddle, DeVonta Smith, Cam Latu and more were seen and heard in the video.

Nick Saban makes multiple appearances in the video.

“Until I listen with an open heart and mind, I can’t understand his experience and his pain,” says Saban.

This video comes at a time where college football, race and the political spectrum have crossed paths, yet again, in their historical, complicated and oftentimes troublesome relation ship.

It was recently announced that the SEC would no longer be holding any form of athletic championship in the state of Mississippi because of ties to the Confederacy found within their flag.

While that has received mixed reactions from Mississippi denizens, Mississippi State’s standout running back Kylin Hill made it known that he does not support the state’s flag and won’t represent the state and will refuse to play.

The statement made by Alabama is a strong one that will be politicized by may, but the message throughout the video is apolitical.

As written by Leatherwood, “All lives can’t matter until Black lives matter.”
