Jordan Addison’s dad has strong reaction to Sam Darnold interception

After throwing an interception early in the Vikings Sunday night game against the Colts, one player’s father had an interesting reaction.

Not much went right for the Minnesota Vikings in the first half of their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The offensive line struggled to protect quarterback Sam Darnold.

The offense itself struggled to get going against the Colts defense, and Darnold made several unforced errors, including an interception that drew the ire of none other than the father of Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison.

On Darnold’s first interception of the game, Addison was running a route across the middle of the field and appeared to have an easy catch for a modest gain at the least. Darnold seemingly didn’t see Addison open, and was flushed from the pocket, resulting in an interception in the end zone and a scoring opportunity gone by the wayside.

That sequence of events prompted a reaction on X (formerly Twitter) from Addison’s father, Rolando Addison, Sr., who likened Darnold to famed musician and entertainer—and blind man—Stevie Wonder.

While invoking Wonder’s name is objectively hilarious, it illustrates a larger concern: Darnold’s performance has started to decline from the standout performances he turned in to start the season. Lately, Darnold has been making costly errors and missing guys fairly consistently.

His errors didn’t cost the Vikings in their game against the Colts, but the team needs Darnold to clean up if they’re going to make a playoff run, which they looked capable of just a few short weeks ago.

Gremio coach: Even Stevie Wonder saw it was a penalty!

“For those who don’t know, Stevie Wonder is blind”

Grêmio head coach Renato Gaúcho was not happy after his team’s 4-4 draw against Corinthians on Monday night.

How unhappy was Renato? Let’s just call it “invoking Stevie Wonder’s lack of eyesight” unhappy.

The coach’s anger stemmed from a late penalty shout for his side that went uncalled, as Grêmio forward Ferreira’s cross hit Corinthians forward Yuri Alberto in the arm in second-half stoppage time.

The referee waved away Grêmio protests, and no VAR review was undertaken.

After his side was denied a late chance for a winner, Renato went off in his post-game press conference, catching the 73-year-old pop icon with a stray.

“It’s unacceptable that the penalty wasn’t given. The Corinthians players themselves said it was a penalty. I saw it in three seconds. The whole of Brazil witnessed this disgrace. Everyone saw it. Even Stevie Wonder saw that it was a penalty,” the coach charged, before helpfully adding: “For those who don’t know, Stevie Wonder is blind.”

5 great things about the 2023 Grammys, including Lizzo, Harry Styles and that astonishing hip-hop tribute

Lizzo! 50 years of hip-hop! Harry Styles!

The 2023 Grammys have come and gone, leaving everyone with plenty of Beyoncé takes, new Ben Affleck memes and stellar performances to rewatch over and over again.

The night’s biggest moments featured Beyoncé both becoming the most-decorated artist in Grammy history and controversially losing the Best Album honor for a fourth time. Queen Bey was also late to the show because she was stuck in Los Angeles traffic.

The show also featured some hilarious Ben Affleck clips, some incredible tribute performances and great little moments like Adele meeting Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The Grammys always land with a bang and leave plenty of people both amazed and frustrated.

Rather than dwell on the negative, let’s break down five great things about this year’s installment.

Shaq is convinced that Stevie Wonder can actually see

Really makes you think.

Count Shaquille O’Neal as one of the people who believe Stevie Wonder can actually see.

Last night on Inside the NBA, Shaq recounted a story where he was in an elevator with Wonder and he believes he actually saw him. “I’m going to tell y’all a Stevie Wonder story, but y’all not gonna believe me,” he starts off. You know it’s about to be a wild ride.

Apparently, they were living in the same building on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. O’Neal says he was already in the building as Wonder came in and they were both getting on the elevator up at the same time. What he said happens next is the best part.

“He comes in, says ‘what’s up Shaq.’ Presses the button, it’s a true story, presses the button, gets off on his floor by himself, goes to his room. I went and called every person I knew and told the story. They didn’t believe me,” Shaq said.

FANTASTIC STUFF. You can watch him tell the story here.

Believe it or not, he’s not the only “Stevie Wonder can see” truther out there! There are more of them. Anthony Anderson is one of them. Lionel Richie might be another. Now, they have Shaq.
