Jason Kelce, Stevie Nicks dazzling duet on ‘Maybe This Christmas’

Jason Kelce has quite the singing partner on a holiday special

Jason Kelce has a great music partner for a holiday song.

“Maybe This Christmas” is a wonderful tune and the great singer and former Philadelphia Eagle mesh perfectly.

Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks’ new holiday song is just beautiful

What a beautiful duet.

We knew Jason Kelce could more than carry a tune as he’s proved over the years as part of The Philly Specials, which have released holiday songs for a few years now (along with his brother Travis, too).

And now, Jason gets to sing with the legendary Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac and solo career fame. They duet on Maybe This Christmas, and it’s really very sweet. And how cool is it that Kelce gets to sing with Nicks? Imagine if you played football all those years and suddenly here you are duetting with an absolute all-time great?

Stevie Nicks wore a Taylor Swift Tortured Poets bracelet during her SNL performance

The two singers have been friends for over a decade.

Stevie Nicks returned this weekend for her second appearance on Saturday Night Live, four decades after her initial performance in 1983. Nicks performed two songs, “The Lighthouse” and “Edge of Seventeen” as the musical guest for host Ariana Grande.

Fans of pop star Taylor Swift noticed a nod to the 14-time Grammy winner as Nicks wore a bracelet for Swift’s most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department. Nicks has a strong relationship with Swift, with the duo maintaining a friendship that has lasted over 10 years.

Swift mentioned Nicks in her Tortured Poets song “Clara Bow” and performed the song live when the former Fleetwood Mac singer was in attendance at her Eras Tour show in Dublin back in June.

Stevie Nicks said watching fictional Daisy Jones made her ‘feel like a ghost’ watching her own story

It’s amazing to learn the Fleetwood Mac singer loved this wonderful show.

It was no secret that long before it was a series on Prime Video, the novel Daisy Jones & The Six was potentially inspired by Fleetwood Mac.

The author, Taylor Jenkins Reid, has said on record that she was influenced by a live performance of “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac.

The novel was developed into a miniseries that was released in March 2023 and it received several Emmy nominations. Riley Keough, who is the eldest granddaughter of Elvis Presley, was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress after portraying the titular Daisy Jones.

This was a role that reminded many of Nicks and the rock star admitted that she saw the uncanny resemblance as well.

According to Nicks, who said she watched Daisy Jones twice, it eventually felt like she was reliving her own past when she watched the show. Here is what she said:

“In the beginning, it wasn’t really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story. It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story. It was very emotional for me. I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it.”

Christine refers to Christine McVie, the English keyboardist and one of the vocalists in Fleetwood Mac. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who died in 2022, was also an inspiration for the character Karen Sirko portrayed by Suki Waterhouse.

Although the story of Daisy Jones and Fleetwood Mac are not one-to-one parallels, it is amazing to learn that Nicks watched the show and felt more flattered than anything else.

That is high praise from one of the most legendary musicians of all time.

M&T Bank Stadium to host Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks in October

M&T Bank Stadium will host Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks in October.

The Baltimore Ravens are preparing to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2022 Wildcard Round of the playoffs. However in the meantime, a major concert announcement was held today at M&T Bank Stadium with Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, Ravens President Sashi Brown, a representative from Live Nation DC-Baltimore and more.

The major concert will be happening on Saturday, October 7th and it will feature musicians Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks.  Tickets will go on sale at 10am EST next Friday, January 20th, and will likely sell out quickly due to the magnitude of the event.

Having a multi-purpose stadium is good for the city of Baltimore, providing more opportunities that go far beyond football. This is the first true concert at M&T Bank Stadium in a long time, as country superstar Garth Brooks was set to perform at the Bank before cancelling his tour.  Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks are both musical icons so this will likely be a sold out show.
