7 Steelers inactive players vs. Buffalo Bills in wild card round

Here are the inactive players for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wild card matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

Despite the loss of T.J. Watt, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in a favorable position injury-wise — more so than a lot of teams at this point of the season. He’s the only player not a healthy scratch as the Steelers take on the Buffalo Bills in hopes of advancing to the playoff’s divisional round.

Here’s the full list of Pittsburgh’s inactives:

Steelers vs. Colts: 1 starter questionable on final injury report

The Steelers have 11 players on their final injury report ahead of Saturday’s Week 15 matchup with the Colts.

Given the laundry list of injuries that is the Pittsburgh Steelers final injury report for Saturday’s Colts game, they’re in pretty good shape.

Only one starter, guard Isaac Seumalo, is questionable for Week 15. Kenny Pickett was ruled out on Monday by Mike Tomlin.

Here’s the rundown from Thursday’s injury report:

Steelers vs. Colts injury report: T.J. Watt logs full practice, Diontae Johnson added

Less than a week after entering concussion protocol, T.J. Watt practices fully, while Diontae Johnson is added to injury report.

Less than a week after entering concussion protocol, T.J. Watt logged a full practice on Wednesday. Newly added to the report is Diontae Johnson, listed with a knee injury.

Steelers vs. Patriots: Najee Harris joins Kenny Pickett on Pittsburgh’s final injury report

Here’s the final injury report for Steelers-Patriots TNF matchup on Prime.

Going into last week’s showdown with the Arizona Cardinals, the Pittsburgh Steelers were relatively healthy aside from tackle Montravius Adams. Heading into tomorrow’s “Thursday Night Football” game, it’s an entirely different story.

Najee Harris popped up on the injury report with a knee injury and is questionable for the Patriots matchup.

Steelers vs. Bengals injury report: 2 defenders out for Pittsburgh’s Week 12 matchup

The Steelers will be without two defenders, including Minkah Fitzpatrick, for their Week 12 matchup with the Bengals.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will, once again, be without the services of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. After injuring his hamstring versus the Jaguars in Week 8, he’ll miss his fourth straight game when they take the field against the Bengals on Sunday.

Here’s the final injury report with game status:

Steelers plan to activate TE Pat Freiermuth, but what’s the point?

The Steelers will have a fully healthy offense for the first time since Week 1.

It appears the Pittsburgh Steelers offense will be fully healthy for the first time since Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Pittsburgh plans to activate tight end Pat Freiermuth before they board the bus to Cleveland this afternoon.

Freiermuth (hamstring), placed on injured reserve on Oct. 21, hasn’t played since Week 4 at Houston.

But what’s the point?

The ugly truth is that the offense wasn’t great before Freiermuth got hurt, and Matt Canada seems to have completely forgotten about the tight end position.

Freiermuth came off a career 732-yard, two-touchdown season in 2022, but just like the rest of the skill players, his numbers had taken a big hit no thanks to Kenny Pickett‘s regression.

Though he’d scored touchdowns in two of his four games, only one ended with more than 10 receiving yards (41 yards versus Las Vegas Raiders). Pittsburgh has 160 between their two other tight ends, Connor Heyward (137 yards) and Darnell Washington (23 yards).

Cleveland’s defense is ranked number one against tight ends. The only one to find any success against Cleveland was Mark Andrews, who managed 80 yards and two scores in Week 4.

Steelers Week 11 injury report: Pat Freiermuth remains on IR

Pat Freiermuth remains on injured reserve, Minkah Fitzpatrick still not practicing.

The Pittsburgh Steelers continued their week of preparation for the big brawl with the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon. Pat Freiermuth remains on injured reserve but practiced fully for the first time since being designated to return on Wednesday. It’s unclear whether he’ll be available to play this week, but Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday he feels good about his progression.

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin will lean on depth to replace Kwon Alexander

The Steelers inside linebackers will need to step up because of injuries.

This season, the success of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been a product of some excellent and timely defense. One positional unit the Steelers completely rebuilt was inside linebacker. And thanks to the additions of Cole Holcomb, Kwon Alexander and Elandon Roberts, this group has played better than expected and been a real bright spot.

But with inside linebacker Alexander and Holcomb on the injured reserve, the Steelers defense and head coach Mike Tomlin will rely on the veteran Roberts going forward.

“We’re going to lean on Elandon Roberts, but that’s why we brought him here,” Tomlin said during his weekly press conference. “He’s a defensive quarterback in mentality and a really good communicator, a really good above-the-neck player. He does a really good job in those areas.

We hadn’t been playing him, in some situations or possession-down moments, but we might expand his role in some of those areas for benefit of communication and fluidity in that area. But those are things that we get an opportunity to ponder over the course of a preparation week.”

Another player who should see an expanded role on defense is second-year inside linebacker Mark Robinson. The Steelers are also likely to call up one or both of the teams practice squad inside linebackers.

Steelers vs. Packers: 2 defensive starters among inactives for Pittsburgh

Here are the inactive players for the Pittsburgh Steelers-Green Bay Packers Week 10 matchup.

Being minus safety Minkah Fitzpatrick aside, which is huge enough, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ inactives aren’t too doom and gloom this week against the Green Bay Packers. The team is still without tight end Pat Freiermuth who remains on IR, but could be back for Week 10’s showdown with the Browns.

Steelers Week 10 injury report: 4 players didn’t practice Thursday

None of the Steelers from Wednesday’s injury report practiced today.

In what’s hopefully merely a precautionary measure, none of the Pittsburgh Steelers from Wednesday’s injury report practiced on Thursday, including Cam Heyward (groin), who was limited yesterday.

Tomorrow’s injury report will include game status, but it’s tough to imagine seeing Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) as anything else but out. It’s best to keep him sidelined for one of Pittsburgh’s toughest matchups of the season in the Cleveland Browns next week.
