Alex Highsmith and Patrick Peterson had gone unscathed in this costly NFL season — that is, until today.

They were fined for plays in the Week 11 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Highsmith, $16,391 for a hit on Cleveland Browns rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and Peterson, $10,000 for unnecessary roughness.

In the third quarter, Highsmith was penalized for roughing Thompson-Robinson on a key third down in what was a questionable flag in the first place. Had the flag not come, it would’ve forced Cleveland to punt. Instead, they got a new set of downs, which didn’t last long as cornerback Chandon Sullivan picked off DTR.

Peterson’s fine stems from a face mask penalty on running back Jerome Ford.

Pittsburgh has been fined a total of $384,183 over the first 10 games of the season, mostly for impermissible use of the helmet.

Browns Studs and Duds: 5 most impactful people in win over Steelers

The Studs and Duds of the Cleveland Browns week 11 matchup against AFC North rival the Pittsburgh Steelers

The Cleveland Browns managed a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday 13-10. The Browns were able to hold off the Steelers in a classic AFC North rock fight. Defensive end Myles Garrett stood out once again, and kicker Dustin Hopkins knocked home another game-winner.

The game was a battle of the wills as each team tried to bully the other into submission. The Browns started hot in the first half, scoring a touchdown on their second possession. The defense was robbed of multiple safeties on their first drive of the game. The Browns’ defense kept the Steelers from scoring in the first half. The offense was able to get into field goal range to end the first half.

The Steelers turned it around at halftime as they became the more aggressive team. The Steelers scored on their second play of the half as Jaylen Warren ran for a 76-yard touchdown. Pittsburgh relied on Warren and Najee to move the ball for the rest of the game. The Steelers tied the game with a field goal in the 4th quarter and held off the Browns’ offense for a couple of drives. LISTEN: Kevin Stefanski delivers victory speech after Browns vs. Steelers

Listen in as Kevin Stefanski addressed the Browns after their last-second win against the Pittsburgh Steelers

Racking up their fifth win in their last six games, the Cleveland Browns took another game down to the last moment. However, kicker Dustin Hopkins came through again as the Browns downed the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 13-10 to advance to 7-3 on the season. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has fought through games with backup quarterbacks, going 3-1 in the last four games without starter Deshaun Watson.

And he delivered quite a locker room speech as the Browns look to make a run at a postseason birth despite losing key player after key player this season. First, it was right tackle Jack Conklin, then it was running back Nick Chubb, and now it is quarterback Deshaun Watson. It has not seemed to matter as Stefanski has his guys ready to fight every single week.

Listen in as Stefanski and his team celebrate their fifth win in their last six games, beating their AFC North rival Steelers.

Steelers RB Najee Harris says what everyone else is thinking

The Steelers record has been masking just how awful the team has been all season long, and Najee Harris knows it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers record has been masking just how awful the team has been all season long, and Najee Harris knows it.

“Record-wise, we’re good,” Harris said via Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now. “You can do two things: You can look at the record and say we’re still good right now. Or you can look at the record and be like, if we keep playing this type of football, how long is that s–t gonna last? It’s a good record, but this is the NFL. Winning like how we did is not going to get us nowhere.”

In their second loss since the Week 6 bye, Pittsburgh’s offense sputtered. Kenny Pickett’s poor 160-yard performance was outdone by the ground game. Jaylen Warren had his second straight 100+ yard game (129 on six carries) while Harris chipped in 35 yards.

How long is this gonna last? The Cleveland Browns answered that before Harris even asked.

Body language reveals tension between Steelers OC Matt Canada and Kenny Pickett

You don’t have to be a psychologist to accurately read the body language from Kenny Pickett during today’s loss to Cleveland.

You don’t have to be a psychologist to accurately read the body language in this clip of Kenny Pickett and Matt Canada during today’s loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Canada is seen spouting an earful on the sideline bench when Pickett turns his head away. Oh, to be a fly on the bench to hear what was said.

Fans have been playing the blame game between the quarterback and offensive coordinator since Pickett was a rookie. I think it’s safe to say they’re both at fault for the Steelers’ offensive flounderings, but Pickett has been downright awful. As remedial as their offense is, he simply needs to scan the field better and connect with his receivers.

Pickett had the worst game of his 23-game career, completing just 53.6% of his passes (15/28) for 106 yards. Cleveland’s defense is the best in the league and dominates in several categories, but they were not why Pickett struggled today, despite what Mike Tomlin said postgame.

“They’ve got a really good defense,” he said via Alan Saunders of Steelers Now. “They make a lot of offenses look like that.”

NFL fans blast another horrible outing by Steelers QB Kenny Pickett

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for Steelers QB Kenny Pickett, they do.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse with Kenny Pickett, they do. It seems with every outing, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ second-year signal-caller regresses. From the should’ve-been-safety on their first drive of the game to the failed attempt at a fourth-quarter comeback, Pickett had his worst game of not only the season but his career. 15-for-28, 106 yards.

No interceptions, though. So there’s that.

Fans, Steelers and not, took to X to vent their frustrations or have a hearty laugh at the quarterback’s expense.

Video catches Steelers defender flipping middle finger to Browns fans after missed opportunity

Trenton Thompson might be new to the Steelers, but he’s already well-versed in how deep-seated their rivalry with the Browns is.

Trenton Thompson might be new to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he’s already well-versed in their deep-seated rivalry with the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers’ defensive back made a great play on 3rd & 8 to force a punt, but what he really wanted was the interception.

After some self-chastising on his hands and knees after the missed opportunity, he stood up and flipped the middle finger to Browns fans who were likely saying something unpleasant about his mom.

Thompson made his Steelers debut in Week 10 after being elevated for the Green Bay Packers game. With injuries to Minkah Fitzpatrick and Keanu Neal now on injured reserve, he was elevated again this week with a starting nod.

Pittsburgh signed Thompson in August after rookie Cory Trice suffered a torn ACL in training camp.

Browns Twitter reacts to egregious non-call on Myles Garrett sack

The Browns got robbed. Again.

The Cleveland Browns should have been out to a 2-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. On a day when star running back Nick Chubb returned to Cleveland Browns Stadium, and where the Browns are looking to advance to 7-3 on the season, the team has come out firing. On the first defensive play of the game, defensive end Myles Garrett sacked Steelers’ quarterback Kenny Pickett in his own endzone.

Or so it looked to everyone other than the NFL officials. It was quite evident that Pickett did not get the ball out of the endzone when Garrett brought him to the ground. However, the officials ruled him down at the one-yard line and missed the challenge flag thrown by head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Leave it to Browns’ fans to react accordingly to such an egregious call. Here is how Browns Twitter reacted to the bad no-call on an apparent safety.

Nick Chubb gets standing ovation at Cleveland Browns Stadium

The Browns had Nick Chubb return home for their matchup against the Steelers, and he got a ton of love.

The Cleveland Browns are looking to win their fifth game in their last six outings as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. Looking for a boost, the Browns got running back Nick Chubb back in the building, and the home crowd at Cleveland Browns Stadium gave their star player a massive ovation.

Chubb, of course, suffered a torn MCL and ACL in the Week 2 loss to the Steelers. He has had two surgeries since the injury but made the trip back to Cleveland to show his love for his teammates and the hometown crowd.

Looking to advance to 7-3 on the season with the chance to lock in a high probability to make the playoffs, having the beloved Chubb back in the building will give them a boost. Can the Browns pull off another gritty win without their starting quarterback and with rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center?
