Former MSU football QB Anthony Russo getting pro football opportunity

Anthony Russo is getting an opportunity to play in the XFL in 2023:

Anthony Russo transferred to Michigan State from Temple ahead of the 2021 season. While many expected Russo to lead the Spartans into 2021, he unfortunately lost the camp battle to Payton Thorne.

Albeit a backup in 2021, Russo was a great presence around the team and fanbase throughout Michigan State’s 2021 season, and is still widely supported by the Michigan State fanbase.

Now, the Spartan fans will have a chance to cheer for Russo at the professional level.

Russo was featured on the San Antonio Brahmas roster for the 2023 season in the XFL.
