Nike’s SNKRS app broke the internet again with the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low release

Here we go again.

Ah, a tradition unlike any other. A Friday morning with thousands of upset sneakerheads across the world taking their anger out on Nike’s SNKRS app. You absolutely love to see it.

Friday’s target was Travis Scott’s brand new Jordan 1 lows and, man, were these things ever going to be difficult to get.

Nike only stocks a few thousand pairs of NRG Jordan collaborations like this. They’re rare and exclusive. But there were literally millions of people anticipating these things releasing all summer.

When you add all of that up, what do you get? A ton of sneakerheads with broken hearts. It’s incredible.

Folks were so upset on the internet about an L they absolutely knew was coming.

Nike’s SNKRS app is causing chaos again with the ‘University Blue’ Air Jordan 1

Man. This has got to change.

Every single weekend it’s the same story. Nike drops some rare, exclusive sneaker on its SNKRS app, people hop in a virtual line for it and then, poof, it’s gone. Just like that. Sold out.

Yet, sneakerheads everywhere keep lining up over and over and over again. It happened again on Saturday with Jordan Brand’s “University Blue” Air Jordan 1 release.

The shoe was set to release at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, like the usual SNKRS drop. But there was so much demand for these things. And rightfully so.

They look absolutely incredible. It’s a Jordan 1 in a UNC blue color. You cannot go wrong with that combination. Look at this thing.

Just super clean. It didn’t matter, though. The W’s were hard to come by.

Kobe fans were mad at Nike’s SNKRS app after they couldn’t get the Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ on Christmas Eve

Not again.

Sneaker heads and Kobe Bryant fans are upset on the internet once again.

Remember how, back in August during Nike’s Mamba week, they were furious they weren’t able to buy shoes from Bryant’s signature shoe line on Nike’s SNKRS app? Well, it’s happened again.

This time, it’s the Kobe 6 “Grinch” colorway causing the problems. This is the first time the colorway has dropped since 2010 and it was only announced a few weeks ago that they’d be coming on Christmas Eve.

Kobe fans and sneakerheads were all excited to maybe finally get a chance to purchase a pair of shoes — not just to wear, but to remember their fallen idol by after his tragic passing earlier this year. To bring back a bit of nostalgia. After all, this might be the greatest Christmas sneaker ever.

Instead, when the time came, they took a ton of L’s. The shoes were gobbled up by resellers in literal minutes. Fans were highly upset about it.

Nike released a new Colin Kaepernick jersey and it sold out in seconds on Nike’s SNKRS app

More SNKRS madness.

After months of waiting, Nike finally released some new Colin Kaepernick gear to the public on Thursday. It was released in celebration of the fourth anniversary of the first time he knelt during the national anthem.

They unveiled a new Colin Kaepernick monochromatic “True to 7” football jersey on Wednesday afternoon and dropped a notification that it’d be released on Thursday.

The jersey was available on the SNKRS app, of course, like every other piece of exclusive gear Nike has. It came in a triple-black colorway with both the lettering of his name and his number in black. The previous version had white lettering.

It’s a pretty slick look, to be honest. And it means a lot to Kap, clearly.

But, yet again in true SNKRS, it sold out in just seconds. Disappointment was in abundance across the internet.

There were some W’s, but they came few and far between.

Shouts to everyone who managed to cop. Better luck next time to those who didn’t. They’ll need it.

Nike’s Grateful Dead Dunk release had everyone ripping the SNKRS app

Not again.

Another day, another L. Such is life for sneakerheads with Nike’s SNKRS app.

People everywhere got up on Friday morning to enter Nike’s raffle for the Grateful Dead SB Dunks. These shoes were made to pay homage to the classic rock band.

Did people really care about that? No, of course not. Most of the people who entered the raffle probably didn’t even listen to the Grateful Dead.

These shoes were just so beautiful, yo. They’re incredible. Easily one of the cleanest releases of the year. That yellow? That blue? Just amazing.

Look at them. They’re equal parts ridiculous and glorious.

Problem was everyone and their mother’s cousin’s uncle entered in the raffle to get them. And they were already low in stock.

Remember the Chunky Dunky’s? Yeah, apparently there were more of those available than the Grateful Dead joints. And we see how that turned out.

So, the basic principles of supply and demand says this was about to be a train wreck. And that was absolutely correct — it was a train wreck. The L’s were in abundance this morning.

And there are plenty more where those came from. The L’s got so bad that “Another L” started trending on Twitter.

The best part? This is all happening again on Saturday when the Off-White Jordan 4 release drops. It’s so lit.

Nike’s SNKRS app gave women early access to the Off-White Jordan 4 and Twitter lost it

SNKRS still gon SNKRS, though.

For so long, the sneaker world has been a place tailored for men. Not because there are no women sneakerheads – there absolutely are. They’ve just generally been ignored.

But on Tuesday, when Nike dished out exclusive access to the Off-White Air Jordan 4, the game was flipped on its head. This time, they were finally being prioritized the way they should be.

Some SNKRS app users were getting early access to buy the Off-White Jordan 4 before its actual release date on Saturday. But only women on the SNKRS app were being granted access.

The notification sent out was titled “ladies first” with a message included from Off-White designer Virgil Abloh.

Made these with women in mind so you can continue to collectively take flight,” Abloh said.

Yeah, yeah. Whatever. None of that really makes any sense. But shoutout to Virgil for looking out for the ladies with this one.

Anyway, what followed it was a bunch of W’s on the TL.

Everyone didn’t get access, though. For some people, it was just more of the same. Another L.

Ah, yeah. That feeling is all too familiar. Not getting these joints would be devastating. Look at them — they’re gorgeous!

And they’re basically worth a stimulus check? Tuh, please.

I feel your pain, ladies. Such is life as a sneakerhead. You win some, you lose some. Is what it is.

Still, either way, it’s great to see the ladies of the sneaker game getting the love they’ve deserved for so long. More of this, please.
