Chiefs ‘crush’ opponents in creative 2024 schedule reveal

The Kansas City #Chiefs “crushed” their 2024 opponents in a creative schedule reveal on Wednesday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs have crushed opponents on their path to wins in Super Bowls LVII and LVIII, and decided to use a hydraulic press to reveal their 2024 schedule on Wednesday evening.

Though their first two matchups of the season were revealed earlier this week, and news broke about their Christmas Day matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers this morning, the rest of Kansas City’s schedule wasn’t made public.

On Twitter, the Chiefs posted a video of items representing their 2024 opponents being crushed by the hydraulic press as a creative way to release their schedule.

Check out the unique video below:

Despite the extreme difficulty of its 2024 schedule, Kansas City has plenty of reasons to be confident heading into its Super Bowl defense campaign next season.

General manager Brett Veach has revamped the Chiefs’ receiving corps, and with many of the team’s key players returning for a chance to three-peat as champions, the sky remains the limit for Kansas City.

Chew toys, rap, and that anime bus: How Cowboys’ 2023 opponents revealed Dallas matchups

From @ToddBrock24f7: Some of the Cowboys’ upcoming opponents kept it simple, others went for the throat in revealing their respective 2023 schedules.

Cowboys fans were understandably focused on their own team’s schedule and the video put out to announce it on Thursday night, but there were, of course, 31 other teams doing the same thing.

The media departments for the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers seem to have won this year’s very unofficial best-video contest in the eyes of most observers, while the Cowboys’ big-budget Yellowstone spinoff was generally met with somewhat mixed reviews.

Some squads put together similarly elaborate productions, while others seemed to throw their release videos together as an afterthought. The Cowboys revealed the details of their schedule by rolling the list of 2023 games as simple end credits, but other teams chose to skewer their opponents with clever (or not) jabs.

Here’s a look at how the Cowboys’ upcoming opponents announced their respective schedules, and how a few of them decided not to wait until the pads were on this fall to get in some cheap shots.

WATCH: Cowboys audition for ‘Yellowstone’ in 2023 schedule release video

The Cowboy vibes were evident in their schedule reveal, calling upon the open plains drama to assist in announcing the 2023 season slate. | From @cdburnett7

The Cowboys called upon a western to announce their 2023 schedule. Paramount’s “Yellowstone” is a hit show that features about as many cowboy hats as AT&T Stadium during football season. At the start of the video, the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan is on the phone with Jerry Jones, who presents the idea of Dallas players auditioning for casting spots in his show. The result is a mix of confusion and hilarious auditions from Cowboys stars.

Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb starts it, proclaiming he has “the quickest hands in the west” which may be true. Sheridan’s expressions are the star of the show, as he’s dumbfounded by the performances. The best may have been the big guys with Neville Gallimore and Osa Odighizuwa performing a duet of “Home on the Range” which leads to laughter from Sheridan.

Almost every Cowboy who features dons a cowboy hat of their own and there’s even a cameo from former Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant, followed by a feature of the triplets: Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin.

In fitting fashion, Leighton Vander-Esch walks in and it appears he came straight from the show. “Hired,” proclaims Sheridan, who was clearly annoyed at the time. At the end, Jones walks in like a main character and delivers a speech about the Cowboys brand and they shake hands.

All this time, not one mention about the schedule and then the entire schedule rolls as if their credits. The post-credit scene features Jones riding in a horse carriage, which doesn’t seem that crazy for the Dallas owner. In the end, a pretty entertaining video with a lot of cowboy vibes to represent America’s Team.
