Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA 6 took place Friday and you can watch a replay of the event on MMA Junkie.

The bareknuckle MMA event took place at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Miss., and featured multiple UFC veterans, including the headlining matchup.

Former UFC heavyweights [autotag]Alan Belcher[/autotag] and [autotag]Roy Nelson[/autotag] clashed in the main event. It was a hard-fought three-round affair in which both fighters had their moments. The judges were ultimately split in their decision, crowning Belcher the winner by dueling 29-28 scores.

Belcher brought more gloveless fighting experience with four bareknuckle boxing fights while Nelson previously competed in bareknuckle MMA once.

The co-feature saw another pair of UFC veterans throw down without gloves as featherweights [autotag]Randy Costa[/autotag] and [autotag]Jason Knight[/autotag] met. Costa made quick work of Knight with a violent first round knockout.

This week, the UFC returns to New York for a big pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden.

UFC 295 features a pair of title fights in the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. A dozen UFC alumni have been booked for Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA in Mississippi.

[autotag]Jorge Masvidal[/autotag]’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA is still in its infancy, but the former UFC star continues to attach notoriety to his budding promotion by bringing in notable names.

The next installment of Gambred Bareknuckle MMA takes place Friday, Nov. 10 at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Miss. and features a dozen (and counting) former UFC fighters, including a former headliner, a “TUF” winner, and more.

Should the promotion keep with the rhythm of its past events, the card will stream live and free on YouTube.

14 former UFC fighters booked for XMMA 4 card in New Orleans

Over a dozen former UFC fighters including a former title challenger have been added to XMMA’s first event of 2022.

Over a dozen former UFC fighters have been added to XMMA’s first event of 2022.

XMMA 4 is set to take place Saturday, April 2 at The Fillmore in New Orleans. Viewing info has not yet been announced.

The promotion launched in January 2021 with XMMA 1 in West Palm Beach, Fla., and was headlined by Andre Fialho vs. James Vick. XMMA 2 took place in July 2021 with a Ben Saunders vs. Ramsey Nijem main event. XMMA 3 followed shortly thereafter in October, headlined by Cody Gibson vs. John Dodson.

UFC on ESPN 29 medical suspensions: Jared Cannonier, flyweight contenders face lengthy time off

[autotag]Jared Cannonier[/autotag] and [autotag]Alexandre Pantoja[/autotag] exited UFC on ESPN 29 on a wave of momentum after their wins – but they didn’t do so unscathed.

Both Cannonier and Pantoja were handed 180-day suspensions by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC), according to a list MMA Junkie acquired Wednesday from MixedMartialArts.com, the ABC’s official database.

In his main event win over [autotag]Kelvin Gastelum[/autotag], Cannonier suffered a right foot injury. As for Pantoja, a win in a potential title eliminator battle with [autotag]Brandon Royval[/autotag] resulted in a left knee injury. Depending on the severity of the fighters’ injuries, they could be ineligible to compete until February.

Also receiving 180-day suspensions were the aforementioned Royval, [autotag]Luis Saldana[/autotag], [autotag]Domingo Pilarte[/autotag], and [autotag]Josiane Nunes[/autotag].

It’s important to note fighters’ suspensions may terminate sooner than the date listed if their injury is cleared by a medical doctor.

The UFC on ESPN 29 medical suspensions include:

Ramiz Brahima is ready to compete for the first time since his ear was nearly severed in his last fight.

A welterweight matchup is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night on Aug. 21.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking on Monday but asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has yet to make it official.

Brahimaj, an LFA veteran, suffered a third-round TKO loss to Max Griffin in his UFC debut in November, when his ear was nearly severed in a gruesome injury. Prior to that, the Fortis MMA fighter had won two of his past three, with both wins coming via submission.

Palatnikov, Hong Kong’s first UFC fighter, scored a big upset win in his promotional debut when he stopped Louis Cosce in the third round at UFC 255. Looking to build off of his momentum, Palatnikov then drew Impa Kasanganay at UFC on ABC 2 in April but was submitted in the second round.

UFC on ABC 2 medical suspensions: Mackenzie Dern, five others face potential 6 months

Mackenzie Dern and five others could be out up to six months due injuries sustained during Saturday’s card.

Six fighters face potentially lengthy layoffs as a result of injuries sustained in their UFC on ABC 2 bouts.

On Tuesday, MMA Junkie acquired a full list of the UFC on ABC 2 medical suspensions handed out by the Nevada Athletic Commission from MixedMartialArts.com, the Associate of Boxing Commission’s official recordkeeper.

Among those potentially suspended for 180 days is co-headliner [autotag]Arnold Allen[/autotag], who perhaps suffered a broken left hand in his victory over [autotag]Sodiq Yusuff[/autotag].

Fan favorite [autotag]Mackenzie Dern[/autotag] also could be out up to six months due to a potentially broken thumb suffered in her win against [autotag]Nina Nunes[/autotag].

[autotag]Julian Marquez[/autotag], who defeated [autotag]Sam Alvey[/autotag] by submission, will need his right hand cleared in order to avoid the mandatory 180 days off.

Also handed a six-month suspension was UFC lightweight veteran [autotag]Jim Miller[/autotag], who will need his left foot cleared after his decision loss to [autotag]Joe Solecki[/autotag].

Both [autotag]John Makdessi[/autotag] (face and foot) and [autotag]Ignacio Bahamondes[/autotag] (nose and hand) received six-month suspensions for multiple potential injuries sustained in their back-and-forth preliminary card war.

The card was headlined by middleweights [autotag]Marvin Vettori[/autotag] and [autotag]Kevin Holland[/autotag], who received matching 21-day suspensions for facial lacerations.

Impa Kasanganay will look to rebound from being on the receiving end of the 2020 “Knockout of the Year.”

A welterweight fight has been added to the UFC Fight Night event on April 10.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking Thursday but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Kasanganay (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) looks to rebound from being on the receiving end of MMA Junkie’s 2020 “Knockout of the Year” against Joaquin Buckley lasy October. Prior to that defeat, Kasanganay won a unanimous decision over Maki Pitolo in August.

At UFC 255 in November, Palatnikov (6-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) became the first athlete from Hong Kong to compete in a UFC fight. Not only did he compete, he defeated Louis Cosce by third-round TKO in a “Fight of the Night” bonus-earning performance.

And [autotag]Jennifer Maia[/autotag] (18-7-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) is looking at a potential six-month sit, as well, following her decision loss to women’s flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko (20-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in the co-feature. Maia can return quicker if a nasal fracture is cleared by a doctor, but will be out a minimum of 45 days with 30 days of no contact.
