The San Antonio Spurs (8-8) welcome the Golden State Warriors (12-3) to Frost Bank Center Saturday. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Warriors vs. Spurs odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Warriors won 3-1 last season

The Warriors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 112-108 Friday, closing as 10.5-point road favorites. They were led by F Andrew Wiggins, who dropped 30 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Golden State has won 5 of its last 6 games and 2 in a row. In those 6, it is just 3-3 against the spread (ATS). The Warriors are 10-5 ATS on the season.

The Spurs beat the Utah Jazz 126-118 Thursday, closing as 3-point home favorites. They were led by F Harrison Barnes, who dropped 25 points and nailed 4 triples. San Antonio has won 2 in a row, a streak that came after it had lost back-to-back games. It is 3-3 ATS in its last 6 and 8-8 ATS on the season.

Warriors at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 115, Spurs 113

Moneyline

PASS.

While both teams are playable here, the better value is on the home side’s spread, which is highlighted below. Avoid a moneyline play here.

Against the spread

BET SPURS +2.5 (-110).

The Warriors are on the second night of a back-to-back after a draining game Friday night in New Orleans. Golden Sate failed to cover as a 10.5-point favorite against a depleted Pelicans side.

San Antonio didn’t compete Friday and will have a rest advantage. A younger side than Golden State, it is 4-0 ATS this season when it has a rest advantage. The Spurs are also a solid 6-4 ATS at home and are playing at a high level, having beaten the Jazz and Thunder in 2 straight home games.

Considering those trends, take SPURS +2.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 227.5 (-110).

The Warriors have one of the best offenses in the NBA behind Curry, and they sit 6th in the NBA in offensive rating. They also have been playing a fast tempo, ranking 5th in pace. The Warriors are 9-6 O/U on the season.

San Antonio put up 126 points on the Jazz Thursday and has scored at least 115 in 4 of its last 6 games. It has allowed at least 118 in 3 of those, as well, and is 3-2 O/U in its last 5.

That said, back OVER 227.5 (-110).

Utah Jazz at San Antonio Spurs odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Utah Jazz at San Antonio Spurs odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Utah Jazz (3-11) and San Antonio Spurs (7-8) meet Thursday. Tip-off from Frost Bank Center is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Jazz vs. Spurs odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Tied 1-1

The Jazz are coming off a cover as 10.5-point underdogs in a 124-118 loss at the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday with the Over (234) hitting. Utah is 0-3 straight up (SU) and 2-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 3 games.

The Spurs upset the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder 110-104 as 9.5-point underdogs Tuesday while the Under (222.5) hit. F Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 22 points off the bench.

The road team has won and covered each meeting this season, while the Under has gone 2-0. In the most recent meeting Nov. 9, Utah won 111-110 as a 6.5-point underdog at San Antonio while the Under (221.5) cashed. Spurs C Victor Wembanyama had 24 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks in the losing effort, but he’ll be sidelined Thursday with a knee injury.

Jazz at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 115, Spurs 114

Moneyline

The JAZZ (+120) may be on a 3-game skid, but they have gone 2-1 ATS, and they almost covered in the lone ATS loss — a 116-105 setback as 9.5-point underdogs at the LA Clippers Sunday.

I prefer backing a team like the Jazz, who have been playing slightly above expectation and losing close, over the injury-riddled Spurs who are coming off an upset win over the best team in the West on national TV Tuesday.

Expect San Antonio to have a let-down game.

BET JAZZ (+120).

Against the spread

I’m not against playing Utah +2.5 (-110), but I prefer the ML at plus odds considering how injured the Spurs are.

PASS. Bet the ML and/or total instead.

Over/Under

The Under has hit in the Spurs’ last 2 games without Wembanyama, but it was odd that they managed to hold Oklahoma City to just 104 points Tuesday. San Antonio coming off such a fluky performance against the Thunder makes me want to fade its defense entirely.

BET OVER 223.5 (-110).

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (11-3) and San Antonio Spurs (6-8) meet Tuesday for NBA Cup group play. Tip-off from Frost Bank Center is set for 9:30 p.m. ET (TNT). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Thunder vs. Spurs odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Thunder lead 1-0

The Thunder are coming off a 121-119 loss as 7-point favorites to the visiting Dallas Mavericks Sunday with the Over (225.5) hitting. The loss snapped a 3-game win streak for Oklahoma City, which has not lost back-to-back games all season.

The Spurs failed to cover as 14.5-point underdogs in a 110-93 loss at the Mavericks Saturday as the Under (229) cashed. San Antonio has lost back-to-back games and is on an 0-3 against-the-spread (ATS) skid.

In an Oct. 30 meeting, the Spurs covered as 12.5-point underdogs in a 105-93 loss at Oklahoma City while the Under (221) hit. Thunder G Luguentz Dort had a game-high 20 points, and F Chet Holmgren added 19.

Thunder at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 117, Spurs 102

Moneyline

The Thunder (-450) were 18-10 after a loss last season, and now they’re facing a sub-.500 Spurs team which will likely be without its franchise player in Wembanyama.

While most people don’t like betting heavy favorites — and they shouldn’t because the bid-ask difference is usually too high — I wouldn’t be against playing the Thunder at -400 or cheaper.

At this price, though, PASS.

Against the spread

This number is reasonable. You only have to lay 9.5, and you get the much better team, the best player on the floor in Thunder G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and the game’s on national TV — so motivation shouldn’t be a concern for the Thunder.

While we have seen NBA teams play better for 1-2 games when a star player goes down, the Spurs played even worse than expected at Dallas Saturday, so it’s unlikely that they turn it around in their second game without Wembanyama Tuesday.

BET THUNDER -9.5 (-110).

Over/Under

I’m on the fence for this one. The loss of Wembanyama means fewer points for the Spurs, but also allows Oklahoma City to score easier at the rim. I believe the bigger impact is to the Spurs’ offense, but this number is not high enough for me to confidently bet the Under in this spot.

LEAN UNDER 222.5 (-110).

Season series: Mavericks lead 1-0

The Spurs lost to the Los Angeles Lakers 120-115 Friday, closing as 2.5-point home underdogs. They were led by C Victor Wembanyama, who went for 28 points on 12-of-25 shooting. The Spurs snapped a 2-game winning streak with the loss. San Antonio is 3-2 straight up over its last 5 but just 2-3 against the spread (ATS).

The Mavericks, who return home after 3 straight away games, lost to the Utah Jazz 115-113 Friday, closing as 8-point road favorites. They were led by G Luka Doncic, who dropped 37 points. Dallas has lost 4 in a row and is just 2-6 in its last 8 games. It is 4-7-1 ATS on the season.

Spurs at Mavericks picks and predictions

Prediction

Mavericks 118, Spurs 112

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no value here. The Mavericks (-500) are the better side and have the rest advantage, but they are too expensive to play on the ML.

Against the spread

BET SPURS +10.5 (-110).

The Spurs are 1-0 ATS this season as double-digit underdogs, and they are 5-5 ATS in their last 10. San Antonio has scored at least 110 points — and hasn’t lost by double digits — in 5 straight games.

The Mavericks have dropped 4 straight games, including their last home game (114-113 vs. the Phoenix Suns Nov. 8). They are just 2-3 straight up/ATS in their last 5 at home. Dallas’ defense has struggled lately, as well, allowing at least 114 points per game over its last 4.

Take SPURS +10.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 229.5 (-110).

The Mavericks have gone Over in 2 of their last 3 games and scored at least 113 points in 6 in a row. Dallas has allowed at least 120 in 2 of its last 3.

The Spurs are 2-0 O/U in their last 2 games and 6-2 O/U in their last 8. They’ve scored at least 110 points in 5 straight games and allowed at least 120 in their last 2. Considering those trends, especially on the defensive end, back OVER 229.5 (-110).

Season series: First meeting; Lakers won 2-1 last season

The Spurs beat the Washington Wizards 139-130 Wednesday, closing as a 9.5-point home favorite. They were led by F Victor Wembanyama, who scored 50 points and drilled 8 triples. San Antonio has won 3 of its last 4 games yet is just 2-4 against the spread (ATS) in its last 6 games. It is 6-6 ATS and 4-3 ATS at home.

Lakers at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Lakers 118, Spurs 116

Moneyline

PASS.

The Spurs have a good shot at winning this game outright, especially with how the Lakers are playing on the road. Given the spread here though, they are better played there.

Against the spread

BET SPURS +3.5 (-115).

The Lakers have won 3 in a row, and they have been nearly unbeatable at home. On the road, they have been a far different team. In their 5 away games, they are 1-4 straight up and ATS. Los Angeles has allowed 125 points or more in 3 of those road games.

The Spurs have scored at least 116 points in their last 2games and are 3-2 ATS at home in their last 5. They have scored well and should have the length in Wembanyama to limit Davis, the Lakers leading scorer. Considering those trends, back SPURS +3.5 (-115).

Over/Under

BET OVER 225.5 (-115).

The Lakers are 3-2 O/U on the road and have scored at least 116 points in 3 straight. Their top 2 scoring options, Davis and James, are shooting over 52% from the field. They have allowed 115 points or more in 4 of their 5 road games.

The Spurs are 6-6 O/U on the season and 5-2 O/U in their last seven. They have allowed at least 111 points in 3 of their last 5 games and averaged 127.5 points over their last 2. With that in mind, back OVER 225.5 (-115).

Jazz at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Spurs 114, Jazz 112

Moneyline

PASS.

San Antonio (-275) should win, but the Spurs are not worth the risk of betting on at such a high number, especially when the matchup is a toss-up. Bet the spread and/or O/U instead.

Against the spread

LEAN JAZZ +6.5 (-110).

The Jazz also have F Lauri Markkanen, a player that is poised for a big game here. With Spurs C Victor Wembanyama not playing well, the Jazz should be able to keep this one close. Utah is also 3-2 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

This is a lean because the Spurs are much better defensively.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 221.5 (-115).

The Over has hit in 4 straight games for San Antonio and is 2-1 in Utah’s last 3 on the road. The Over has also hit in 3 of the last 5 meetings between these teams.

This is a lean because the O/U has been close to even for both teams this season, as well as in recent meetings. They’re also among the worst offensively in the league.

Trail Blazers at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Trail Blazers 111, Spurs 108

Moneyline

BET TRAIL BLAZERS (+145).

Portland has won 2 of its last 4 games including 2 of its last 3 on the road. It has the advantage against a struggling Spurs team that is playing the second game of a back-to-back and will be without coach Greg Popovich, who left Saturday’s game after suffering a health issue. San Antonio has lost 2 straight games and 4 of its last 6.

Against the spread

PASS.

There is better value on the Blazers moneyline.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 217.5 (-115).

Portland has scored 114 points or more twice in its last 3 games and allowed 103 or more points in 7 of its 8 games. San Antonio has hit the Over in 3 consecutive games while allowing 113 points or more in back-to-back games.

San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Houston Rockets (4-3) welcome the San Antonio Spurs (3-4) to Toyota Center Wednesday. Tip is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Spurs vs. Rockets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Tied 1-1

Then teams split 2 games in Houston with the Spurs winning 109-106 on Oct. 26 and the Rockets winning 106-101 on Oct. 28.

The Rockets beat the New York Knicks at home 109-97 Monday, closing as a 2-point underdog. Houston has played 2 straight games at home, losing 127-121 to the Golden State Warriors Saturday. It is 2-2 straight up and against the spread (ATS) at home. The Rockets have performed well defensively as of late, allowing 102 or fewer points in 3 of their last 4 games. Houston is led by G Jalen Green, who is averaging 22.9 points per game.

The Spurs had a 2-game winning streak snapped with a 113-104 loss to the LA Clippers 113-104 Monday, failing to cover as a 4-point road underdog. They are 3-1 ATS in their last 4 games, 3 of which were on the road. San Antonio is 2-2 ATS in its 4 road games. It has stifled offenses as well, allowing 106 or fewer points in 5 of its last 6 games. They are led by F Victor Wembanyama, who is averaging 18.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

Spurs at Rockets picks and predictions

Prediction

Rockets 108, Spurs 103

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no great value here. The Rockets (-275) should come out on top. They are 2-2 straight up at home and have turned it on as of late, winning 3 of their last 4 and scoring at least 108 points in 3 straight games.

The Spurs (+200) have potential as a moneyline underdog, but are better played on the spread.

Against the spread

BET SPURS +6.5 (-110).

The Spurs have covered at a high rate as of late. They are 3-1 ATS in the last 4 games and 2-1 ATS in their last 3 games as an underdog. San Antonio is starting to click offensively, scoring at least 104 points in 3 straight after hitting that mark just twice in the first 4 games.

The Rockets have exceeded expectations as an underdog, but they are only 2-3 as a favorite and just 1-2 as a home favorite. Houston has eclipsed 110 points just twice this season, so its offense hasn’t been overly consistent. Both games between these teams this season were within 5 points.

Expect a tight game and back SPURS +6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 212.5 (-110).

If there’s something both teams can agree on, it is that the Under has been the better play this season. The Spurs are 3-4 O/U and have gone Under in 4 of their last 6 games. They have allowed 103 or fewer points in 2 of the last 3.

The Rockets are 1-4 O/U in their last 5 games and 2-5 O/U on the season. They are 2-2 O/U at home. Houston has given up 102 or fewer points in 3 of its last 4 games. Both teams rank in the bottom 5 of pace in the league, so neither play at a fast tempo.

With that in mind, back UNDER 212.5 (-110).
