Class of 2022 four-star outside linebacker Jalon Walker dominated in a state championship win over the weekend. Walker has committed to play football at the University of Georgia.
The four-star prospect picked Georgia over Clemson, Alabama, UNC, and other top college football programs.The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is ranked as the No. 47 recruit in his class. He’s the second-best prospect in the state of North Carolina.
Walker and Salisbury High School won a state championship 42-14 over St. Pauls High School. Salisbury competes in the 2-AA level of football in North Carolina.
Jalon Walker stood out in Salisbury’s historic win. Walker recorded 12 tackles and scored a late touchdown on offense. The Georgia commit had several key plays. He helped Salisbury’s defense get off the field with a third-down tackle. Additionally, he hauled in a few timely catches to give Salisbury momentum.

It will be a short offseason for Jalon Walker and Salisbury, who have to play again in the fall.
