Former Steelers WR Antonio Brown writes a song about a workout

Yep, it’s another video from Antonio Brown.

I understand that not all music has to have some deep meaning. Often times really popular songs aren’t about much at all. This must be the angle former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is shooting for with his budding rap career. First, he puts out a song about how much money he has and now his second song is all about his failed workout with the New Orleans Saints.

I wish I was making this all up. But here is Home From the N.O.

Brown and his entourage did go to New Orleans for Brown’s workout. And as expected no contract came. Brown was one of several wide receivers the Saints brought in but you have to wonder if Brown knew that going in. He probably assumed he’d show up and New Orleans would have a giant bag of money waiting for him on a table.

Anyway, if you dare click, understand it’s 2:21 you will never get back.

Tom Brady isn’t the only veteran quarterback knocked out of the playoffs who could leave his team

Tom Brady is the most high profile veteran quarterback who lost his first-round game in the playoffs and will now be a free agent, but he’s not the only one. There’s another quarterback who is headed home early that no one seems to be talking about, and he has just as prolific passing numbers as Brady. Drew Brees is set to be a gree agent in 2020 once his contract voids.

For some reason, no one is talking about Brees leaving New Orleans like they are talking about Brady leaving New England. There are a few reasons for that. First, the narrative doesn’t sell as well. Brady is the biggest name in the NFL. He is the greatest quarterback of all time, playing for on the best dynasties of all time, and his team has been constantly covered — for good or bad — for years now. Brees simply won’t garner as many eyeballs, clicks, paper sales, or whatever metric we want to use in today’s media.

There are other reasons as well. No one expects Brees to leave New Orleans and there’s apparently a shot that Brady could leave New England. If Sean Payton immediately stepped down as head coach of the Saints and suddenly took a job with the Dallas Cowboys, maybe Brees might have thought about leaving. That’s not happening now that Dallas looks to be signing Mike McCarthy as their new head coach. There’s not a new coach coming in to push Brees out and apparently, Payton isn’t as ruthless — or isn’t expected to be as ruthless — as Bill Belichick might be negotiating with Brady.

Maybe people are giving Brees more of the benefit of the doubt as well. He’s never discussed playing anywhere else. He’s never made it known that he wants to be in control of his destiny as a player where Brady has a few times. Brees doesn’t have a fledgling health and wellness company to pitch. No one even asked Brees if he was going to retire — and they did that with Philip Rivers — and no one is questioning how the Saints will sign Brees next year. It’s all kind of odd but makes sense at the same time.

There could be some teams in the market for Brees’ services. Tampa could make a run at Brees. They have more weapons than the Saints right now — sorry, but Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are better than Mike Thomas and whoever the Saints try to fill in across from the former Buckeye. If they think they can make a run at Brees they should. The Bears or Panthers could be interested — especially if the Panthers are in win-now mode. Brees played his college football in the midwest so make a run at him Chicago. Of course, none of those teams mentioned played in domes and Brees has gotten kind of used to playing inside at this point in his career.

Still, it’s odd that Brees isn’t getting the Brady treatment. No one is even questioning that he’ll be back in New Orleans next year. Maybe we should.

Watch: Kyle Rudolph Sends Vikings to Second Round

the Vikings cashed in as a jump-ball was secured by Notre Dame product Kyle Rudolph, and it was the Vikings instead who marched on.

Is it just me or should the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints play in every NFL Postseason?

Favre’s interception in 2009, the Minneapolis Miracle two years back and then today, a 26-20 Vikings win in overtime that sends Minnesota to San Francisco for the Divisional Playoffs next weekend while it sends the Saints home for the year.

In a game few gave the Vikings much of a chance in it was actually the hometown Saints who had to rally just to force overtime, making a field goal with two seconds left in regulation to tie things at 20.

The Vikings won the toss in the extra period and after a long Kirk Cousins pass set Minnesota up at the Saints two, the Vikings cashed in as a jump-ball was secured by Notre Dame product Kyle Rudolph, and it was the Vikings instead who marched on.

The Vikings now advance to play the top seed in the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers next week in San Francisco.

Tight End U coming up big yet again.

Should you bet on the New Orleans Saints to win Super Bowl LIV?

Previewing the New Orleans Saints’ Super Bowl LIV chances, with NFL betting odds, picks, futures and best bets.

[jwplayer G6PpyUj5]

Since September, the New Orleans Saints have looked like Super Bowl LIV contenders, but do they warrant an NFL futures bet?

With a 13-3 record, the Saints were dominant during the regular season. Their only slip-up games were when Brees injured his thumb in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams, a stunning Week 10 loss to the NFC South-rival Atlanta Falcons and a thrilling 48-46 shootout loss to the San Francisco 49ers – arguably the best game of the 2019 season.

They won six games by double-digits and enter the playoffs on a three-game winning streak – two of which came by at least 27 points and the other by 10 points.

Yet, despite rolling to a stellar regular-season record, the Saints still didn’t earn a first-round bye. Those two free passes went to the 49ers and Green Bay Packers.

Sitting out the Wild Card Round is a huge advantage, with more than 79% of Super Bowl representatives in NFL history being No. 1 or 2 seeds in the postseason. After all, teams with top-two seeds have to win one fewer game than teams seeded third or lower, making the path to a championship much easier.

The Saints are a rare team that can buck that trend with a four-game winning streak to claim Super Bowl LIV. And that’s exactly why you should bet on them to win it all.

According to BetMGM, the Saints are +600 to win Super Bowl LIV – the fourth-best odds of the 12 playoff teams. That’s better than even the Packers, who have a first-round bye and would host the Saints in the Divisional Round, should New Orleans advance past the Minnesota Vikings.

New to sports betting? A $10 wager on the Saints to win Super Bowl LIV would return a profit of $60 should New Orleans win the Super Bowl.

That just goes to show how the oddsmakers view the Saints and their chances of being the last team standing.

New Orleans should make easy work of Minnesota (+3300 to win Super Bowl LIV), especially with the game being played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Saints are favored by 7.5 points, the largest spread of the four games this weekend. Brees, WR Michael Thomas and RB Alvin Kamara are all healthy entering the postseason and will help carry the offense.

Defensively, the Saints are no slouches, either. They finished 13th in points allowed and 11th in yards allowed, performing especially well against the run with the fourth-fewest rushing yards allowed per game. The Vikings prefer to lean on RB Dalvin Cook and the running game.

The Saints were good on the road this season, too, going 7-1 away from home. Should they beat the Vikings, visiting Lambeau Field shouldn’t strike any fear in the Saints.

As a team without a bye, the Saints got the better end of the playoff bracket, having to play the Packers in the divisional round instead of the 49ers. Granted, they’d visit the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game if both teams make it that far, but at least that won’t come in the second round.

Betting the house on New Orleans wouldn’t be a wise move because of the absence of a first-round bye, but you should feel good about laying down some money on the Saints to be the last team standing.

6 Best bets for NFL wild-card weekend

Are the Patriots done? Can the Bills win outright? The Saints should defend homefield, but what will happen in Seattle-Philadelphia?

We did it! We ended the regular season over .500 — and I bet you thought I was going to say we made it to wild-card weekend. A 6-3 record — and hitting on two parlays — helped save the season and now it’s time to keep the hot streak going into the playoffs.

Playoffs best bets are a bit different than the normal best bets during the regular season. We will bet on every single game. If there’s a total we like, we will take it, but there will be at least four game bets/picks.

As usual, the home teams are in CAPS, and we are using Bet MGM for our odds. Games will be listed at -110 unless denoted otherwise.

Poll: Who will QB Philip Rivers be playing for in 2020?

Will it be the Los Angeles Chargers or another NFL team for quarterback Philip Rivers in 2020?

One thing is clear. Quarterback Philip Rivers has every intention of playing in 2020. But one thing that’s not and that’s who he will be playing for.

We recently did a poll on what fans believe the future holds for Rivers. But since the 38-year old suggested that he wants to play for his 17th season, we want to know what team you believe that’ll be with.

Bringing back Rivers remains a strong possibility for the Chargers, but nothing is certain. The front office and coaching staff are evaluating every position from this past season to determine the soon-to-be free agents that’ll be back in 2020.

If Rivers doesn’t return, we created a list of the top-five teams that we could see having the most interest in acquiring the veteran quarterback.

With that being said, we want to know who you believe Rivers will be playing for next season.
