Jameis Winston will still be a quarterback in the NFC South this season… just not with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The former No. 1 overall pick by the Bucs was shown the door after Tampa Bay was able to lure Tom Brady away from the New England Patriots. Winston landed with the rival Saints, where he will sit behind Drew Brees on a one-year deal.
The new Saints quarterback recently went on Instagram to post an up close picture of him in his new helmet, and let people know what he likes about it.
Sure it looks good, but it still feels strange seeing Winston in an NFL helmet that isn’t the Bucs.
Best of luck to the QB in the future and beyond! Hopefully, he’ll get his shot to start again at some point down the road. I mean, the guy threw for over 5,000 yards in a season! Only seven other players besides Winston have ever accomplished that feat.
