Anne Hathaway was moved to tears by seeing Barbra Streisand given the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award

Anne Hathaway wasn’t alone.

Awards shows can occasionally feel a little manufactured, but Saturday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards featured an incredibly heartwarming moment offstage for Anne Hathaway.

Hathaway, who was in attendance in part for a Devil Wears Prada reunion, joined with the entire crowd at the show to stand and applaud entertainment legend Barbra Streisand, who was receiving the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award.

Once the camera panned over to Hathaway, she was moved to tears by seeing Streisand honored, which was such a wholesome moment and shows just how much the actors in that room respect one another, especially when the totality of their careers are being recognized.

Like so many actors and musicians, Hathaway has clearly been inspired by Streisand over the years, as the two have even collaborated on music with each other in the past.

Everyone watching the awards ceremony related to seeing Hathaway’s heartfelt reaction to Streisand’s honor, which reminded us all of how moved we can all feel when an artist we love gets their due for the work that’s impacted us so much.

The three didn’t miss a beat with the comedic timing, which surely had everyone wondering when the sequel is going to be announced. It looked like Streep, Blunt and Hathaway all were thrilled to be back together.

Pedro Pascal gave an endearing acceptance speech after being stunned to win his first SAG Award

The best speeches come when they don’t expect to win.

It’s fair to say not many people expected Pedro Pascal to take home the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Male Actor in a Drama Series, including Pascal himself. Succession had been the favorite, taking home multiple awards in the category already. Kieran Culkin won the Critics Choice Award, Emmy Award and Golden Globe for his portrayal of Roman Roy in the HBO drama’s final season.

So when Phil Dunster and Storm Reid called Pascal’s name for his work on HBO’s The Last of Us, the charismatic actor was clearly stunned.

Pascal started his speech with a quip about being a bit tipsy, not having planned on taking the stage at any point. “I’m a little drunk,” he said. “Uhhh, I thought I could get drunk.”

His joy at winning his first SAG was palpable, and he closed by saying, “I’m gonna have a panic attack and leave.” Perfect speech.

15 of our favorite photos from the SAG Awards red carpet, from Zendaya to Austin Butler

The stars were out in California on Sunday night.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards took place Sunday evening (February 26), bringing glitzy and glamorous celebrities from television and movies to the red carpet in Los Angeles. As to be expected, the stars shone brightly in gorgeous dresses and stunning tuxedos.

Although everyone looked fabulous, we’ve picked 15 of our favorite shots from Sunday night’s affair. Unsurprisingly, the Everything Everywhere All At Once crew of Michelle Yeoh and Stephanie Hsu shone — the former also took home a SAG Award — and Austin Butler made everyone else look bad just by being too handsome.

Enough talking. Let’s get to the pictures.

An emotional Brendan Fraser delivered a powerful Best Actor speech at the SAG Awards

Everybody loves Brendan Fraser, and he’s now got a SAG Award to prove it.

Everybody loves Brendan Fraser, and now he’s got a Screen Actors Guild award to prove it.

The longtime actor edged Elvis star Austin Butler and The Banshees of Inisherin co-star Colin Farrell for SAG’s Best Actor honor, positioning him to possibly repeat at the Academy Awards in March.

Fraser’s on-screen turn in The Whale has earned him the best reviews of his career, and his fellow actors rewarded him handsomely for the performance on Sunday night.

Fraser became overwhelmed with emotion during his fantastic acceptance speech, one of those moments that you don’t forget anytime soon. An Oscar moment could be next.

Fraser has long been one of the warmest personalities in Hollywood and is the object of plenty of nostalgic love for his many notable performances from the ’90s and ’00s.

With Butler winning the BAFTA last weekend in the same category, it figures that Fraser and Butler will be the two vying for Best Actor next month.

Michelle Yeoh beautifully dropped an f-bomb while accepting Best Actress at SAG Awards

Michelle Yeoh got so excited to win a SAG Award that she dropped an f-bomb.

Everything Everywhere All at Once actress Michelle Yeoh got so excited to win a Screen Actors Guild Award that she dropped an expletive.

Yeoh won her very first Screen Actors Guild honor on Sunday night for her performance in the Oscar frontrunner for Best Picture, and she delivered what’s sure to be one of the best speeches this awards season.

With Tár actress Cate Blanchett winning Best Actress at the BAFTAs last weekend, it should be a close call between Yeoh and Blanchett on Oscar night.

For now, enjoy Yeoh’s delightful acceptance speech, complete with a jubilant f-bomb for the ages.

NSFW language to follow.

Yeoh and co-stars Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis walked away big winners on Sunday night, as did their entire cast when the film won Best Ensemble to close the ceremony.

It feels more and more like Everything Everywhere All at Once is going to dominate at the Academy Awards in March, with Yeoh’s win another wonderful reminder.
