The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted wide receiver, Greg Ward up from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room on the roster for Ward, the Eagles placed safety Rudy Ford on injured reserve.

Ward was promoted to the active roster in Week 3 and played 13 offensive snaps against the Detroit Lions in a loss. A former college quarterback at Houston, Ward has spent the week impersonating Russell Wilson of the Seahawks, the Eagles opponent on Sunday.

Both Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor are battling injuries and Ward could help provide the Eagles with a consistent deep threat.

The Philadelphia Eagles released their Thursday injury report and Lane Johnson was again among three players who did not practice. Nelson Agholor missed his second straight practice with a knee injury, while Rudy Ford also did not participate.

Nigel Bradham (ankle) got in a full practice, while Jordan Howard, Jeffery and Jason Peters were limited participants.

Johnson left the Eagles’ loss to the Patriots with a concussion and he’s still in the concussion protocol and had not been cleared for practice on Thursday. Andre Dillard could get his first start at right tackle if Johnson can’t go.
