Before broadcasting, Mike Golic Jr. made himself known as a key member of Notre Dame’s offensive line. Now following in his father’s footsteps as a broadcaster for ESPN, Golic continues to grow his audience. That means people are interested in what he has to say.

However, did anyone expect him to talk about an old beef between Elmo of “Sesame Street” and an inanimate pet rock on the show? Earlier this week, the internet became obsessed with this old clip:

Elmo made a couple of tweets about the matter, and one of them prompted a response from Golic:

The mention of Dwayne Johnson and even Golic’s involvement both are irrelevant though. The real issue at hand is Zoe pushed the normally friendly Elmo to his breaking point for the sake of revolving everything around her pet rock. That’s not cool, and, if anyone reading this actually is defending Zoe, well, just watch this:

Warriors celebrate International Dog Day with video of Klay Thompson and Rocco

To help celebrate International Dog Day, the Golden State Warriors shared a video featuring Klay Thompson and his beloved bulldog, Rocco.

The Golden State Warriors have a steady list of headliners on their roster. From Steve Kerr to the Splash Brothers, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, Golden State boasts a star-studded cast on the basketball court.

However, one member of the Golden State family might top their star power rankings. Since his arrival to the Warriors, Klay Thompson’s dog Rocco has quickly turned into a favorite in the Bay Area.

On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors celebrated International Dog Day with a video of Thompson and Rocco.

With Golden State on the outside of the Orlando Bubble, Thompson has had plenty of time to spend around his friend Rocco. Whether it’s watching movies, working out or playing chess, Golden State’s All-Star guard always has his pup nearby.

At one of Thompson’s recent workouts, Rocco was in the building for moral support. With an extended offseason on the calendar, Thompson will have more time to spend with his beloved bulldog.

Klay Thompson squares off with his dog Rocco for a round of chess

While the NBA’s Orlando Bubble is about to begin, Klay Thompson is focused on a game of chess against his dog Rocco.

While 22 teams are preparing to restart the stretch run of the NBA season in the Orlando Bubble, the Golden State Warriors have officially flipped the switch to offseason.

As the Warriors are set to begin an extended offseason outside the bubble, players are busy going through workouts at Chase Center, golfing and mending injuries from an up and down regular season. For Klay Thompson, the five-time All-Star is spending time with his best friend.

On Monday, the Golden State wing shared a photo of himself locked into a game of chess with his dog Rocco. According to Thompson, the sharpshooter has a strategy when it comes to playing chess against his dog.

When Thompson isn’t squaring off against his bulldog in chess, Rocco has served as a motivational workout partner for his human. During a recent box jump workout, Rocco was on hand for Thompson’s moral support.

Watch: Klay Thompson’s dog Rocco provides moral support during workout

While Klay Thompson is working his way back to the court for the Golden State Warriors, his dog Rocco is providing proper moral support.

Although they won’t join the rest of the league in Orlando for the NBA’s restart, members of the Golden State Warriors are returning to the gym to get back into basketball shape. San Francisco’s Chase Center recently reopened their doors for players to return to the court.

Despite practices being limited to individual drills, Klay Thompson has found a supportive workout buddy. Thompson shared a video on his Instagram with the Golden State shooting guard participating in a box jump drill with his dog Rocco cheering him on.

In the video, Thompson called Rocco, “a great rehab dog.”

Notre Dame Football: Top Offensive Line Target to Cut List to Five

Rocco Spindler is a coveted offensive guard. Notre Dame will see how well they stand with Spindler when he cuts his schools to five May 22.

Notre Dame has been in hot-pursuit of offensive guard Rocco Spindler of the 2021 recruiting class.  The Irish sit with 10 current commitments in the 2021 class, two of which make their homes on the offensive line in tackle Blake Fisher and guard Pat Coogan.

Notre Dame will find out if they’re in the running to add a third lineman to that list as big-time target Rocco Spindler has announced he’ll be cutting his list of potential schools from 10 to five on May 22.

Spinder, a 6-4.5, 295 pound offensive guard from Clarkston, Michigan comes with a four-star grade.  He’s received offers from plenty of the big players including Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and plenty more.

Spindler is the son of Marc, who played defensive tackle at Pitt before spending his nine year NFL career with the Detroit Lions and New York Jets.

You may recall Spindler was the Notre Dame target that had a chance encounter with Lou Holtz while vacationing in Mexico.

Keep it locked to Fighting Irish Wire as we’ll have all the details on Spindler and anything else regarding Notre Dame recruiting.

Big Time Notre Dame Target’s Mexican Encounter with Big Time Former Irish Coach

Here’s to hoping Brian Kelly doesn’t suffer the same fate with a Spindler over two decades later.

You ever find yourself walking and you stumble into something that means an incredible amount to you and you alone but probably means nothing to anyone else?

If so you may have wondered what it meant and if it was some kind of sign.

One of the nations most desired players in the 2021 recruiting class recently found himself wondering exactly that after a random Mexican run-in with former Notre Dame head coach Lou Holtz.

Rocco Spindler is one of the most coveted players in the 2021 class as 247Sports ranks him the second best guard in the country and a top 50 player overall.

If the Spindler name sounds familiar it’s because Rocco’s father (Marc) is a former All-American defensive lineman for Pitt who played nine seasons in the NFL for the Lions and eventually the Jets.

Spindler mentions it possibly being a sign that he ran into Lou but also asks in the same tweet if it’d be a “like father, like son” situation. In that case then he wouldn’t end up at Notre Dame, correct?

OK, that’s reading far too into the tweet of a youngster who had a cool run-in with an all-time college football coach. Whether he ends up at Notre Dame or if he ends up at one of their biggest rivals it’s still a cool story to come across.

I’d love to hear Lou share stories on recruiting Spindler’s father though as he was the USA TODAY’s high school football defensive player of the year in 1986.

I’m guessing that miss didn’t sit well with Holtz.

Here’s to hoping Brian Kelly doesn’t suffer the same fate with a Spindler over two decades later.
