New lip-reading video shows NSFW stuff Rhys Hoskins and Jeff McNeil yelled at each other

So many curses yelled between these two.

It was the Opening Day drama that made headlines everywhere: after Rhys Hoskins dangerously slid into Jeff McNeil at second base in the Milwaukee Brewers’ win over the New York Mets on Friday, the infielder and the first baseman jawed at each other.

It was clear Hoskins called McNeil a “crybaby” and surely there were expletives tossed at each other. And that’s where Jomboy comes in — the lip-reader of all things baseball and beyond had a go at what was said between the two, and you can bet he found a lot of not-so-nice stuff.

WARNING: There’s a TON of NSFW stuff said in this one:

Phillies’ Rhys Hoskins started skipping right after crushing another home run and fans loved it

Rhys Hoskins is having all the fun right now!

No one is having more fun hitting home runs than Rhys Hoskins right now.

On Sunday, Hoskins hammered yet another home run for the Philadelphia Phillies, this time in Game 5 of the NLCS to give the home team the lead. In the bottom of the third, with the Phillies tied 0-0 against the San Diego Padres, Hoskins got things going for Philadelphia with a monster two-run blast that sent fans into a frenzy.

Just over a week after his emphatic bat spike in the NLDS, Hoskins broke out an incredible skip for his home run trot as he went to round the bases.

Talk about another awesome moment from Hoskins, again! He’s absolutely feeling it in the batter’s box right now and it’s showing in his mammoth home runs and passionate reactions. Phillies fans absolutely loved Hoskins skipping down the first base line after his home run.

Phillies’ Rhys Hoskins had an epic bat spike after absolutely crushing a 3-run homer

Hoskins added insult to injury in Game 3 of the NLDS.

Rhys Hoskins absolutely opened the floodgates for the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday afternoon.

Nursing a 1-0 lead in Game 3 of the NLDS over the NL East pennant-winning Atlanta Braves, Hoskins stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the third with one out and runners on first and second. Rookie pitcher Spencer Strider made the mistake of delivering a fastball down the middle of the plate.

Hoskins made him pay.

He absolutely crushed it to left-center field for a three-run homer  — the first postseason dinger of his career — which opened up Philadephia’s lead in Game 3. The series was tied at one game apiece entering Friday’s game.

To add insult to injury, Hoskins delivered an absolutely filthy bat spike to cap things off.

Here’s a different angle of the emphatic slam.

Philadelphia finished the regular season with an 87-75 record, good for just a third-place finish in the NL East. The Phillies snagged the final Wild Card spot over the Milwaukee Brewers by just one game, and the advanced to the NLDS by virtue of a two-game sweep on the road against the NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals.

Hoskins’ shot put his team in good position to take a one-game lead in this best of five series.

Rhys Hoskins hilariously pretended to give a Nats fan the baseball before throwing it back in play

So petty.

Sunday was a rough afternoon in Washington for the Philadelphia Phillies, but at least Rhys Hoskins managed to keep a sense of humor about it all — though there’s probably a Nationals fan out there who won’t be laughing.

With one out in the eighth inning, Hoskins fielded a foul out off the bat of Nelson Cruz. And as his momentum carried him towards the stands down the first-base line, Hoskins showed the baseball like he was about to toss it to a lucky fan in the first row.

About that …

Just as you could see the Nats fan’s eyes widen for the potential souvenir, Hoskins turned around and threw the ball back to the infield.

Yes, on Father’s Day! And judging from the boos at Nationals Park, plenty of fans noticed exactly what Hoskins did there.

But hey, the Nationals would win the game, 9-3. So they got the last laugh.

Phillies’ Rhys Hoskins had a very NSFW reaction to his game-tying home run getting overturned

Looks like he said “[EXPLETIVE] YOU!”

What a finish to the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies’ Sunday night game (if you’re a fan of either team, it was either really great or really awful).

Let’s set up the situation: the Mets took a lead in the eighth inning with six runs to make it 8-4 heading into the ninth. Closer Edwin Diaz came in to finish the job … but then Roman Quinn knocked in a run to make it 8-5.

Up stepped Rhys Hoskins. The slugger took a pitch and hit what appeared to be a game-tying home run. Very exciting stuff!

… Except the replays showed the ball hit the railing at Citizens Bank Park, which meant it was a double instead, and one batter later, the game was over.

When Hoskins saw the overturned call, this was his NSFW reaction:

Of course, Jomboy had a full breakdown of what happened that’s also NSFW:

I’d be pretty angry too … but that ball did hit the railing.

Tobias Harris, Rhys Hoskins join Ben Simmons in taking ‘Philly Pledge’

Tobias Harris and Rhys Hoskins are among the Philadelphia athletes taking the Philly Pledge.

The world is currently in a tough spot right now due to the outbreak of COVID-19 that has everybody sitting inside their house in self-quarantine to make sure they keep themselves safe. It is during this time that big names are doing their part in trying to help the world as best they can.

Philadelphia 76ers star point guard Ben Simmons started that with something called “The Philly Pledge” as he tries to spread the word about organizations that can help people during this time and to really promote staying indoors. He now has the backings of two other Philadelphia athletes.

One of them is teammate Tobias Harris who is stepping up and also taking the Philly Pledge to help find nonprofit organizations in this time of need.

On top of that, Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins is also joining Simmons in taking the pledge.

This has triggered a chain reaction of other prominent Philadelphia athletes who are all stepping up and taking the pledge. Other athletes have since joined such as Jalen Mills and Zach Ertz of the Philadelphia Eagles, Andrew Knapp of the Phillies, and Clause Giroux of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Now is the time to help others. That is the Philly Pledge and that is the Philly way. [lawrence-related id=28443,28427,28424]
