Ohio State football offers four-star running back

Ohio State offers four-star running back #GoBucks

Ohio State football has been hot on the recruiting trail, and while the 2025 class is on track to be a historically great one, the 2026 class is still being pieced together. The Buckeyes have offered a four-star running back from the state of Texas in Raycine Guillory Jr.

The consensus top 200 player in the class of 2026 recently decommitted from the Texas Longhorns, which is in his own backyard. Maybe this means the Aledo, Texas star is open to travelling. He has been a star for the Texas powerhouse program as he rushed for 1,236 yards and 17 touchdowns on his way to a state championship as just a sophomore.

Guillory has a number of offers, which includes Arkansas and Ole Miss in addition to the newly received Ohio State offer.

Texas loses 2026 running back commitment on Thursday

Texas loses 2026 four-star running back shortly after 2026 five-star QB Dia Bell commits.

Just days after landing one of the top quarterbacks of the 2026 recruiting cycle, the Texas Longhorns staff suffered a minor setback. On Thursday, it was announced that composite four-star running back Raycine Guillory Jr is backing off of his pledge.

Guillory of Aledo, Texas, originally committed to the Longhorns on Jan. 20 while attending ‘Junior Day’ on the Forty Acres. Since his pledge, the No. 16 running back of the 2026 class has picked up several major offers including the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Ole Miss Rebels.

This doesn’t preclude the Texas Longhorns from ultimately signing him in 2026 while he weighs all of his options. Guillory was the first commit of the 2026 cycle that now only includes five-star quarterback Dia Bell.

Texas is also looking at the No. 2 running back of the class, Tradarian Ball. He currently plays for Texas High in Texarkana. Javian Osborne of Forney, Texas, is ranked as the No. 5 running back and worth keeping an eye on should the Longhorns move on from Guillory.
