Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs Wild Card odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7-1) visit the Kansas City Chiefs (12-5) Sunday for an AFC Wild Card battle. Kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Chiefs odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Steelers snuck into the playoffs behind a 16-13 overtime win at the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18, but also needed the help the Jacksonville Jaguars’ stunning 26-11 upset of the Indianapolis Colts. This could be Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger’s final game as he is expected to retire after the season.

The Chiefs bounced back from a 3-4 start to the season by winning nine of their final 10 games. They were 7-2 at home this season and beat the Steelers 36-10 at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 16.

Steelers at Chiefs odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Chiefs 24, Steelers 17

Money line

PASS. There is no reason to consider the Steelers for the upset. They are overmatched against a team that is built to make it to its third Super Bowl in a row.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs’ -750 price is way too high and not worth the risk.

Against the spread

BET PITTSBURGH +12.5 (-112).

Both the Chiefs and the Steelers were 8-9 ATS in the regular season. The Chiefs beat the Steelers by 26 points just a few weeks ago.

There is one way to slow the Chiefs and that is by getting pressure on QB Patrick Mahomes. The Steelers have the league’s sack champion in LB T.J. Watt, who recorded 22.5 sacks this season. With injury issues and questionable depth at running back, the Chiefs will have to rely on their passing game.

The Chiefs will win the game, but it won’t be a blowout.

They were 2-2 ATS when favored by 10 or more points.

Take the STEELERS +12.5 (-112).

Over/Under

Back UNDER 46.5 (-112).

The two teams combined for 46 points in Week 16. It’s the Steelers’ only game in their last four that cashed an Over ticket.

The last five games for the Chiefs hit the Over, but the Steelers just don’t have the offense to help much. I don’t think the Chiefs get 30 in this game and I don’t think the Steelers will score enough to help on their end.

BET UNDER 46.5 (-112).

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7-1) face the Baltimore Ravens (8-8) in both teams’ regular-season finale Sunday in Week 18. Kickoff at M&T Bank Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Ravens odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Pittsburgh needs the Jacksonville Jaguars to upset the Indianapolis Colts and for the Los Angeles Chargers versus Las Vegas Raiders game to not end in a tie to clinch an AFC postseason berth.

The Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 26-14 on Monday Night Football in Week 17 in what’s expected to be Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger‘s final home game. Pittsburgh is 7-9 ATS and 6-10 O/U.

Baltimore needs a lot more help to make the playoffs. The Ravens have to win against the Steelers and need losses by the Colts, Chargers and Miami Dolphins to advance to the postseason.

The Ravens have lost five straight games (3-2 ATS) and they’ve been without former MVP QB Lamar Jackson for the last three outings. Baltimore is 8-8 ATS and 8-8 O/U.

Pittsburgh has won three straight over Baltimore including a 20-19 victory in Week 13 this season that concluded with the Ravens failing on a would-be go-ahead 2-point conversion attempt in the final minute.

Steelers at Ravens odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Steelers 23, Ravens 20

Money line

SPRINKLE on the STEELERS (+155) with the plan of betting more on Pittsburgh plus the points. I give the Steelers the edge because they are far healthier than the Ravens and have the motivation of sending Big Ben off on a winning note.

Baltimore’s offensive line has struggled all season in pass protection and Pittsburgh has one of the best pass-rushing units in the NFL.

Furthermore, Steelers OLB T.J. Watt is one sack away from NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan’s single-season sack record (22.5). Watt is going to be the best player on the field and wreak havoc over Baltimore’s offensive line.

Both sides of the ball for Pittsburgh have max motivation while Baltimore is limping down the stretch. The idea is to bet Pittsburgh’s spread heavier but SPRINKLE on the STEELERS (+155).

Against the spread

Definitely BET the STEELERS +3.5 (-112) heavier than, or instead of, their money line. This line has already come crashing down after news broke that Lamar would miss Baltimore’s regular-season finale.

However, there’s still value in Pittsburgh’s spread because it’s been profitable to bet on whichever team is an underdog of 3.5 or more points in this Steelers-Ravens head-to-head series.

For what it’s worth, the STEELERS +3.5 (-112) is my favorite wager in this game.

Over/Under

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 40.5 (-115) for a small wager, if at all, as a fade against a market that’s barrelling into the Under.

More than 60% of the action is on the Under according to Pregame.com and we know 60% of sports bettors don’t beat the oddsmakers.

That said, the Under has cashed in five of the past seven Steelers-Ravens meetings in Baltimore and my favorite wager is Pittsburgh’s spread anyhow.

Underdog corner: 3 best NFL picks and predictions of Week 17

Assessing the NFL betting odds and lines for Week 17, with three predictions and picks for the best underdog bets to make.

NFL point-spread favorites continued their late-season surge last week, but we hit on two of our three selections here in “Underdog Corner,” cashing with outright wins by the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills.

That upped our season record to a nice-and-profitable 31-17 (.646) with 26 outright winners.

Cincinnati Bengals +5.5 (-112) vs. Kansas City Chiefs

This is a crucial contest for both of these AFC contenders with the conference’s No. 1 seed and a division title among the items on the line.

QB Patrick Mahomes and the 11-4 Chiefs have won eight straight (with six straight covers) to put the wraps on another AFC West crown and surge into pole position in the AFC.

QB Joe Burrow and the Bengals, meanwhile, have won four of their last six and need another victory to clinch their first AFC North crown since 2015.

The Chiefs are the better team with more big-game experience, but Burrow and Co. have more than enough firepower to keep this one close at home. Take the BENGALS (+5.5) and the points.

PLAY: Try our new, free daily Pick’em Challenge and win. Play now!

Houston Texans +12.5 (-112) at San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco has won five of its last seven to move into the thick of the NFC playoff chase but lost last Thursday night against the Titans and now may be without starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo due to a thumb injury.

The Texans, meanwhile, have no such postseason aspirations at 4-11 but continue to play hard behind better-than-you-think rookie QB Davis Mills and have won two straight by double digits, including last Sunday’s 41-29 upset of the 13.5-point favorite Chargers.

Given the Niners’ QB uncertainty and their 5-8 against-the-spread (ATS) record at home since the start of last season, we’re taking the TEXANS (+12.5).

Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5 (-120) vs. Cleveland Browns

The 7-7-1 Steelers and 7-8 Browns still have slim AFC chances so this is basically a de facto elimination game in the regular-season Monday Night Football finale.

Pittsburgh has had the upper hand in this series of late, going 10-3-1 straight up (SU) and 8-5-1 ATS since 2015, including a 15-10 road win in Cleveland as a 5.5-point underdog on Halloween.

But the main reason we like Pittsburgh here is that this likely will be the final home game of QB Ben Roethlisberger’s storied career, and it’s hard to imagine the STEELERS (+3.5) coming up short.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs Week 16 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6-1) are on the road for a tilt with the Kansas City Chiefs (10-4) Sunday in Week 16. Kickoff from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is set for 4:25 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Chiefs odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Steelers’ playoff hopes aren’t entirely dashed yet, despite that they’re third in the AFC North, although they are on the outside looking in as the season winds down. Pittsburgh has alternated wins and losses over its last four games (2-2 ATS), most recently picking up a 19-13 home victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 15.

The Chiefs have rattled off seven consecutive victories after starting the season 3-4. Kansas City also enters on a 5-0 ATS run, most recently picking up a 34-28 overtime victory on the road at the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15.

Steelers at Chiefs odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Chiefs 31, Steelers 17

Money line

Although the Chiefs are almost certainly the correct side of this line, there’s just no value in betting more than five times your potential return.

PASS on the money line.

Against the spread

Kansas City has been rolling lately, and while Pittsburgh’s defense has been effective off and on all season, it has been lit up by high-octane teams in over the last month, giving up 41 points to the Cincinnati Bengals and 36 to the Minnesota Vikings.

While KC will undoubtedly feel the absence of Kelce in its offensive gameplan, WR Tyreek Hill, who had been on the COVID list earlier in the week was able to clear protocols and will be active.

Pittsburgh has been held to 20 or fewer points in three of its last four outings, and even if it can get near that number today it probably won’t push far beyond it.

BET the CHIEFS -10.5 (+100).

Over/Under

Kansas City, despite missing some pieces, should be able to take advantage of Pittsburgh and will do more than its fair share to get this over the number Sunday. The Chiefs are looking to finish the season strong as they surge toward a bye in the opening week of the playoffs.

Pittsburgh and KC have both gone 3-2 O/U over their last five games. I’m anticipating this one adds to the Over column.

TAKE the OVER 44.5 (-110).

Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings odds, picks and predictions: Player prop bets

Analyzing the Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings Week 14 matchup and offering up expert picks and predictions on the top player prop bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5-1) hit the road fresh off their Week 14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens to take on the Minnesota Vikings (5-7) at U.S. Bank Stadium for Thursday Night Football. Kickoff will be at 8:20 p.m. ET as both of these teams try to keep their playoff hopes alive. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Vikings prop bet odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Steelers secured a much-needed win last week by beating the Ravens 20-19. It came down to a failed two-point conversion by Baltimore helped the Steelers snap their two-game losing skid and get them back on track after a terrible finish to November. They rank 21st in scoring and 22nd in total yards.

The Vikings were stunned by the Detroit Lions in Week 13 as they lost with QB Jared Goff throwing a game-winning touchdown pass as time expired. It was Minnesota’s second loss in a row and its fourth in the last six weeks, dropping to 5-7 after starting the season 3-3. The defense has been a major problem as it’s allowed the third-most yards in the NFL.

Steelers at Vikings prop bet picks and predictions

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday at 3:45 p.m. ET.

Steelers WR Dionte Johnson OVER 80.5 receiving yards (-130)

Johnson has been on a tear as of late, going for at least 83 yards in each of his last four games and in five of his last six. He hasn’t been targeted fewer than 11 times since Week 9 and against a Vikings defense that has been terrible against the pass and has allowed the sixth-most yards after the catch this season.

Johnson could be in for a big game — he’s undoubtedly QB Ben Roethlisberger‘s favorite target right now with WR JuJu Smith-Schuster out.

PLAY: Try our new, free daily Pick’em Challenge and win. Play now!

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth anytime TD scorer (+220)

Freiermuth has scored six touchdowns as a rookie, becoming a valuable red zone weapon for Roethlisberger. He’s scored in each of his last three road games and has found the end zone twice in his last three games overall.

Safety Harrison Smith is a tough draw for Freiermuth, but Big Ben looks his way pretty often in the red zone and his size could cause problems for Minnesota.

Vikings WR Justin Jefferson OVER 93.5 receiving yards (-114)

WR Adam Thielen won’t play in this one due to a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 13 against the Lions. That leaves Jefferson as QB Kirk Cousins‘ go-to receiver, which was certainly the case on Sunday in Detroit.

Jefferson was targeted 14 times and caught 11 passes for 182 yards, most of which came after Thielen left the game. He’s had at least 100 yards receiving in three of his last four games.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger OVER 22.5 pass completions (-120)

The Vikings allow a completion rate of 62.3% to opposing quarterbacks, not a particularly high number but it’s only slightly below Roethlisberger’s season average of 64.8%. He’s thrown at least 30 passes in each of his last six games and completed at least 21 in all of them, too.

This could be a game where the Steelers throw a bunch of quick, short passes (as they often do) to negate the Vikings’ pass rush. That should lead to a high number of completions for Roethlisberger, especially if the game script calls for a pass-heavy attack should the Vikings grab an early lead.

Vikings TE Tyler Conklin OVER 39.5 receiving yards (-114)

Conklin should see significantly more targets and opportunities tonight with Thielen being out. He was targeted a season-high nine times last week and caught seven passes for 56 yards. He’s topped 40 yards in five other games, too.

The Steelers don’t allow a ton of production to opposing tight ends (48.6 yards per game) but Conklin should see an uptick in catches and yards in Thielen’s absence.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5-1) travel to play the Minnesota Vikings (5-7) Thursday in a battle of the only two teams that have played the Detroit Lions this season and not come away with a win. Kickoff from U.S. Bank Stadium is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Vikings odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Both teams made statements last week about their playoff chances. The Steelers pulled out a late 20-19 win over the Baltimore Ravens to keep their slim playoff hopes alive in the stacked AFC playoff chase where a .500 record won’t cut it.

The Vikings pulled defeat from the jaws of victory once again in a 29-27 loss to the Lions as time expired. A victory would have kept them at 6-6 and tied for the final two wild card spots in a not-so-stacked NFC playoff race that will likely see a team make it with a losing record.

Both teams are on the outside looking in for the playoffs and, for the loser of this one, it may be the final nail in their 2021 playoff coffin.

Steelers vs. Vikings odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Steelers 23, Vikings 20

Money line

I find it somewhat shocking that given their respective results that Minnesota remains a favorite. While the Vikings are getting a lot of players back that they didn’t have last week, including LB Eric Kendricks, LB Anthony Barr and CB Patrick Peterson, they’re still shorthanded on offense, which plays to the strength of the Steelers.

Pittsburgh is almost certain to do everything in its power to take WR Justin Jefferson away from QB Kirk Cousins. Take the STEELERS (+135).

Against the spread

If you don’t think the Vikings will win outright, being given 3.5 points and the team you think is going to win is a gift. Take the STEELERS +3.5 (-125).

Over/Under

A lot of Thursday games, especially recently, have been sloppy affairs that clearly show teams that are beat up and sore and never really get a full practice in over and above a walk-through.

The combined point total has been 32 or fewer points in three of the last four TNF games and 44 points in the other. Both teams are capable of putting up enough points to hit the Over, but two veteran-laden teams on a short week (barring a defensive or special teams touchdown) has me looking UNDER 43.5 (-105).

For the first time this season, the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens (8-3) and Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5-1) will clash on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh will be at 4:25 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Ravens vs. Steelers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Ravens have taken over the top spot in the AFC after winning their last two games, albeit narrowly over the Bears and Browns. The offense has gone cold in recent weeks, scoring more than 17 points just once in their last five games and just 42 total points in their last three.

The Steelers have lost their last two games and tied the Lions Nov. 14, going winless since their last victory in Week 9. They rank in the bottom half of the NFL in total offense and defense, coming into this week at No. 22 in yards and 25th in yards allowed.

It’s been a streaky season for Pittsburgh, losing three straight from Week 2-4 then winning four in a row and now dropping their last two.

Ravens at Steelers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Ravens 20, Steelers 14

Money line

The Steelers haven’t been impressive at all this season, with the exception of their Week 1 win over the Bills. The Ravens have had their troubles, too, barely beating the Browns and Bears.

But so long as QB Lamar Jackson doesn’t throw four interceptions again, this should be a fairly comfortable win for Baltimore on the road.

Bet the RAVENS (-220) to win.

Against the spread

Despite narrowly beating the Browns and only edging the Bears by three points, the Ravens managed to cover the spread in each of their last two games. They’re now 5-6 ATS this season, which is still hardly impressive.

Even with all their injury concerns, the Ravens are still the better team and should be able to beat the Steelers on the road by at least five or six points. Bet the RAVENS -4.5 (-108) to cover.

Over/Under

Neither of these teams is moving the ball particularly well on offense right now, with the Ravens in particular dealing with turnovers and a lack of yards through the air.

Their defense is stepping up with just 45 points allowed in their last three games, but I don’t have confidence in either team to put up points in bunches.

Bet the UNDER 44.5 (-115), which is 4-1 in Ravens road games.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4-1) travel to Paul Brown Stadium to take on the Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) Sunday in Week 12. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Bengals odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Bengals are coming off a dominant 32-13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11. However, with losses to the New York Jets and Chicago Bears it’s difficult to trust them.

They’re led offensively by star QB Joe Burrow and rookie WR Ja’Marr Chase. They enter as solid favorites having had a successful season despite those bad losses. The Bengals haven’t swept the Steelers in the regular season since 2009.

The Steelers will finally get their top defenders back as S Minkah Fitzpatrick and LB T.J. Watt are both expected to play. Pittsburgh needs a big-time win to stay in playoff contention.

The Steelers are led on offense by RB Najee Harris who has had 22 or more carries in five of their last six games. He’ll likely be featured heavily Sunday.

Steelers at Bengals odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Steelers 24, Bengals 23

Money line

“LEAN” to the STEELERS (+155) because they’re getting healthier and should be able to run all over Cincinnati.

The Bengals allowed over 400 yards through the air to Jets QB Mike White and over 150 yards on the ground to the RB Kareem Hunt-less Cleveland Browns in their last three games.

While they thrashed the Raiders, that was more based on the ineptitude of Las Vegas. It should be the opposite for Pittsburgh, who should’ve easily defeated the Los Angeles Chargers had their full array of players been healthy.

The Bengals are just 2-2 at home, having won four of six on the road. They’ll again by short their second-best cornerback Trae Waynes which could hamper them defensively. Waynes has been on injured reserve since early October.

Veteran QB Ben Roethlisberger has had the Bengals’ number over the past decade, and as noted, the Bengals haven’t swept the Steelers since 2009. This should be a good showing from Big Ben.

Against the spread

BET on the STEELERS +3.5 (-112) for as much, if not more than, a money line wager.

The Steelers know this Bengals team. They’ll be ready for the speed of Chase and the play of Burrow. They should be primed to take on another quality offense and succeed after seeing the Chargers last week.

Throwing will be tough for the Burrow and the Bengals as Watt is expected back and will play a huge part in this game. He’ll pressure a Bengals offensive line that was ranked the 25th-best in the NFL by PFF prior to the season’s commencement.

Watt and DE Cameron Heyward will wreak havoc on the Bengals line. While they can return the favor against a weak Steelers line, the faith should be put in the team with the veteran quarterback.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the OVER 43.5 (-117) as the better side here.

Big Ben had two interceptions and Harris ran for just 40 yards the last time these two teams took the field. That’s more than likely not going to happen again. That’s the only time this season the Steelers have scored 10 or fewer.

Both teams are allowing over 21 points per game. This will be a tough total if one team has a sluggish day, but with all the talent on the offensive side of the ball, I expect points on the board.

However, I’d still look to the Steelers spread for the best value.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4-1) travel to the west coast to face the Los Angeles Chargers (5-4) in Week 11 for Sunday Night Football. Kickoff is 8:20 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium. Below, we look at the Steelers vs. Chargers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Steelers had a four-game win streak snapped as they tied the Detroit Lions 16-16 last week with QB Ben Roethlisberger out on the COVID list. They lost two fumbles in overtime, including one in field goal range, and allowed the Lions to rush for 229 yards.

The Chargers have lost three of their last four games, including a 27-20 defeat at home against the Minnesota Vikings last week. They only gained 253 total yards yet allowed Vikings QB Kirk Cousins to pass for 294 yards and two touchdowns.

Steelers at Chargers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Steelers 27, Chargers 24

Money line

The Steelers have struggled against struggling teams, beating the Chicago Bears by only two points and then tying the winless Detroit Lions.

However, the Chargers have allowed 24 points or more to each of their last four opponents. I have the Steelers coming with the upset with the expected return of Roethlisberger.

Take the STEELERS (+200).

Against the spread

The Chargers have covered the spread only once in the last four games and are 5-4 ATS this season overall.

The Steelers also have covered the spread only once in their last four games. They are 3-6 ATS overall, although they’re 2-1 ATS on the road.

Since I am predicting the Steelers to have an outright win, if you are betting the spread, you should go STEELERS +5.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Steelers are 2-7 O/U and the Chargers are 3-6 O/U. However, three of the last five games for the Chargers have had totals of 48 or more points, which would be Over this week’s projected total.

The Steelers have only scored 27 or more twice, but the Chargers’ defense has allowed opponents to score 24 or more in each of their last five games.

Take OVER 47.5 (-108).

Detroit Lions at Pittsburgh Steelers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Detroit Lions at Pittsburgh Steelers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

On Sunday afternoon, the Detroit Lions (0-8) will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) in a cross-conference clash at Heinz Field. Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET from Pittsburgh. Below, we look at the Lions vs. Steelers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Since narrowly beating the Vikings on Oct. 10, the Lions have struggled to stay competitive in their last three games.

They were crushed by the Bengals, Rams, and Eagles, but they are coming off a much-needed bye. Sitting at 0-8, the Lions are desperate for a win after struggling on both sides of the ball in the first eight weeks.

The Steelers barely beat the Bears in Week 9, winning 29-27 at home on Monday night.

They’ve now won four games in a row and sit at 5-3 after starting the year 1-3. They’ve been carried by their defense, which ranks eighth in points allowed and 14th in yards.

Lions at Steelers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Lions 21, Steelers 17

Money line

This is quietly a good opportunity for the Lions to earn their first win of the year. They’re fresh off a bye and the Steelers are on a short week after playing on Monday night.

Not to mention, the Steelers won’t have Claypool and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster is already out for the year. With Big Ben being ruled out Saturday as well, this is a perfect spot for Detroit.

I like a small wager on the LIONS (+230) to pull off the upset on the road against a Steelers team that hasn’t played as well as its record suggests.

Against the spread

The Lions are 4-4 ATS and should probably already have two wins if not for last-second field goals made by the Vikings and Ravens. The Steelers are just 3-5 against the spread, covering just twice during their four-game winning streak.

I think the Lions will come out playing well after their bye and at the very least cover the 6.5-point spread against the Steelers. In the three games where the Steelers were favored by at least 5.5 points, they’re 0-3 ATS.

Bet the LIONS +6.5 (-108).

Over/Under

The Steelers’ offense is highly dependent on RB Najee Harris.

With Roethlisberger being ruled out, he will be featured even more. The Steelers don’t push the ball down the field or create very many big plays, nor do the Lions.

Considering the total has gone over a combined five times in 16 games between these two teams, I like the UNDER 40.5 (-103).
