Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Phoenix Suns (39-28) take on the Milwaukee Bucks (43-24) Sunday with tip-off from Fiserv Forum set for noon ET (ABC). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Suns vs. Bucks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Suns lead 1-0 after 114-106 home win Feb. 6.

The Suns narrowly covered as 10.5-point favorites in a 107-96 win at the Charlotte Hornets Friday. G Devin Booker led 6 scorers in double figures with 21 points and had 11 assists and 6 boards to boot. The Suns are 6-4 over their last 10 and are tied for 6th in the conference with the Sacramento Kings.

The Bucks are trying to stave off the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2nd spot in the East as they sit just a half-game up on them. Milwaukee polished off a 114-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday as 7-point favorites. F Giannis Antetokounmpo had 32 points, 11 boards and 7 assists as the Bucks ended a string of 3 losses in 4 games.

Suns at Bucks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 116, Suns 110

Moneyline

The Suns won the 1st matchup in Phoenix by 8 points. G Damian Lillard missed that game due to injury, and Booker (32) and F Kevin Durant (28) combined for 60 points.

The Bucks have won 7 of the last 10 meetings – including all 5 in Milwaukee. They’re 26-7 on their home court this season, and unless Giannis gets ruled out, I like the BUCKS -130 or you can lay the points.

Against the spread

Each of the last 10 meetings were decided by more than 2 points. The Bucks are 7-3 ATS over their last 10 games while Phoenix is just 3-7 over its last 10.

Take the BUCKS -2 (-110), and I expect the spread to lengthen as the opening tip gets closer.

Over/Under

The Suns are just 2-8 O/U over their last 10, and the Bucks are 2-7-1. Head-to-head, the Over is 4-5-1 in the last 10 meetings between these teams. I think the only way this Over hits is if Milwaukee muscles up for 120+, and they have only done that 3 times in their last 10.

LEAN UNDER 226.5 (-110).

Phoenix Suns at Charlotte Hornets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Phoenix Suns at Charlotte Hornets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Phoenix Suns (38-28) take on the Charlotte Hornets (17-49) Friday with tip-off from Spectrum Center set for 7 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Suns vs. Hornets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Suns lead 1-0 after 133-119 home win on Dec. 29

The Suns are on the 2nd game of a back-to-back after the Boston Celtics eclipsed them 127-112 Thursday night. Four Phoenix players had 20-plus points — G Devin Booker (23), G Bradley Beal (22), F Grayson Allen (20) and F Kevin Durant (20) — but they couldn’t contain the freight train from Boston.

The Hornets have won 2 of 3 after putting down the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday 110-98 to cover as 5.5-point favorites. Charlotte is 5-5 ATS over its last 10 games. F Miles Bridges had 27 points, 6 boards and 6 dimes while going 3-for-7 from downtown. G Vasilije Micic also had a season-high 25 as he has been in double figures for 7 straight games.

Suns at Hornets and predictions

Prediction

Suns 119, Hornets 100

Moneyline

Even on a back-to-back, there’s no way the Suns should drop this game. There’s also no way we’re paying the -500 moneyline.

PASS

Player props weren’t available at press time, likely because Phoenix is a veteran team on the tail end of a back-to-back. If one pops up for Micic at 11 or 12 points, I’d jump on that. He has hit double figures in 7 straight, and he has 12+ points in 6 of those.

Against the spread

There’s a chance this spread comes down a bit if the Suns opt to rest someone in the back-to-back. I wouldn’t want to lay more than the 9 1/2 we’re giving up here, though, so keep that in mind.

The Suns have won 6 straight meetings, and the last 5 were by 10+.

Take the SUNS -9.5 (-115).

Over/Under

The Hornets play no defense, and the total really boils down to how much the Suns want to score. They are just 2-8 O/U over the last 10, and Charlotte is 3-7. I’m going to LEAN OVER 217.5 (-105), but go easy here.

Phoenix Suns at Cleveland Cavaliers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Phoenix Suns at Cleveland Cavaliers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Phoenix Suns (37-27) open a 4-game Eastern Conference road trip on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers (41-23) at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Suns vs. Cavaliers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Cavaliers swept the 2 meetings in 2022-23, splitting against the spread (ATS) while the Under cashed in each outing

The Suns lost 117-107 against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, failing to cover as 5.5-point home underdogs. Phoenix has won just 4 times in the past 9 games, while going 1-5 ATS in the past 6 games, and 2-7 ATS in the previous 9 contests. The Under is on a 10-0 run since Feb. 14.

The Cavaliers were humbled 120-101 by the visiting Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, losing outright as a 6.5-point favorite as the Over (209) cashed. The Cavs offense has struggled lately, going for 105 or fewer points in 4 of the previous 5 outings.

Cavs leading scorer Donovan Mitchell (knee) has missed the past 6 games due to a knee injury. The team is just 3-3 SU/ATS, while averaging just 104.7 points per game (PPG), which is well below the team’s season average of 113.8 PPG.

Celtics at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 115, Cavaliers 106

Moneyline

The Suns (-225) are too costly, as you would need to risk more than 2 times your potential return. As a straight up wager, that’s simply not enough value. However, if you were to toss Phoenix into a multi-team parlay, that isn’t nearly as bad.

PASS as a standalone wager.

Against the spread

The SUNS -5.5 (-110) are worth a look laying the points. The Cavaliers +5.5 (-110) have been a shell of themselves without Mitchell in the lineup, and really, they’re down 3 starters with Mobley and Strus also sidelined.

Cleveland is just 3-10 ATS in the past 13 games, as it has been struggling against the number even prior to all of the injuries.

Over/Under

UNDER 222.5 (-115) is a strong play in this battle in C-Town.

The Cavaliers have cashed the Under in 4 of the past 6 games, although the Over is 7-3 across the past 10 outings at home. The total has gone high in Cleveland’s past 3 tries against Western Conference teams.

The Suns have been on a serious Under roll, cashing in 10 consecutive contests. The Under is 9-3 in the past 12 road games, while going 7-2 in the past 9 outings against Eastern Conference squads.

Boston Celtics at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Boston Celtics at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Boston Celtics (48-14) make the 3rd stop on a 5-game road trip against the Phoenix Suns (37-26) Saturday at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Celtics vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Teams split 1-1 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) in 2022-23, with the Under going 2-0

The Celtics were tripped up 115-109 against the Nuggets Thursday, losing for the 2nd straight game on the trip. Boston was favored in each of the losses in Denver and Cleveland, too. Still, Boston is 11-2 SU in the past 13 games, while going 6-2 ATS in the previous 8 contests. The Under is 4-2 across the past 6 games, too.

The Suns have picked up consecutive wins in Denver, and against Toronto, while splitting against the number. Phoenix is 5-2 ATS in the past 7 tries against Eastern Conference teams. The Under is on a 9-0 run for Phoenix, and the total has gone low in 10 of the past 13 games for the Suns against Eastern Conference foes.

Celtics at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 111, Celtics 108

Moneyline

The SUNS (+180) are a good value to nearly double up against the visiting Celtics (-225).

While Phoenix has plenty of injury issues, especially with Devin Booker (ankle) likely out at least another 7-10 days, it has picked up wins in the past 2 games. Boston has struggled against marquee opponents lately, just coming up short in Cleveland and Denver. Look for more disappointment in the Valley of the Sun.

Against the spread

The SUNS +5.5 (-110) are a solid play for the more conservative bettor, if you just can’t bring yourself to take Phoenix straight up.

Seeing Brown and Tatum on the injury report for the Celtics -5.5 (-110) is a little offputting, too, although Tatum is expected to play. Brown isn’t as much of a slam-dunk play, although he certainly didn’t look affected by his ailment much Thursday, going for 41 points and 14 boards in his 41 minutes.

Over/Under

UNDER 226.5 (-110) is quite a high number. Go low, and feel confident in doing so.

The total has gone low in 4 of the past 6 games for the Celtics, while the Under is 8-3 in the past 11 tries against Western Conference teams for Boston.

As far as Phoenix is concerned, the Under is on a 9-0 run, while cashing at a 10-3 clip in the past 13 outings against teams from the Eastern Conference.

Toronto Raptors at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Toronto Raptors at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Toronto Raptors (23-39) take on the Phoenix Suns (36-26) Thursday with tip-off from Footprint Center set for 9 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Raptors vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Raptors lead 1-0

The Raptors have lost 3 of 4 after a 139-98 extinction by the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday. F RJ Barrett had 15 points and 6 boards, and he’ll be the team’s primary offensive threat. They are operating without All-Star G Scottie Barnes, who broke his hand and required surgery.

The Suns took down the Denver Nuggets 117-107 Tuesday as 8.5-point underdogs. They are without G Devin Booker (ankle), who will also miss this one. F Kevin Durant had 35 points, 8 boards and 5 assists. He has gone for 30 in 2 of 3 games. That win snapped a 2-game losing streak. The Raptors beat the Suns 112-105 in November, but that Toronto squad was much different.

Raptors at Suns and predictions

Prediction

Suns 118, Raptors 101

Moneyline

There’s no play on the ML here, but I did spot a solid prop to consider. G Immanuel Quickley has 3+ 3-pointers in 6 of 7 games, and he has shot 28-for-62 (45.1%) during the stretch.

With Barnes out, he was the leading scorer in the last game, and he’ll continue to shoot. Take IMMANUEL QUICKLEY OVER 2.5 3-POINTERS (-155).

Against the spread

We have a lengthy spread here, and the Suns are 12-20-1 ATS at home. The Raptors are 16-14 ATS on the road, but they have traded off assets and aren’t nearly the same team they were. They were just blown out by 41 points by New Orleans, and while I don’t particularly like betting spreads this big, I’ll LEAN SUNS -10.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Raptors are 4-6 O/U over the last 10, and the Suns are 1-9. The Suns have touched 120 just twice in 10 games, and it would take that to cash an Over most likely.

Take the UNDER 233.5 (-110).

Phoenix Suns at Denver Nuggets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Phoenix Suns at Denver Nuggets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Phoenix Suns (35-26) travel to meet the Denver Nuggets (42-19) Tuesday at Ball Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (TNT). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Suns vs. Nuggets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Nuggets lead 1-0 after a 119-111 win in Phoenix on Dec. 1 as 1.5-point underdogs as the Over (223.5) cashed

The Nuggets have won 3 straight meetings, and 5 of the past 7 in the series, including ousting the Suns in 6 games in the Western Conference Semifinals. Denver is 8-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past 10 meetings, too.

Phoenix has lost the past 2 games against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets while going just 2-4 straight up (SU) and 1-5 ATS in the past 6 contests. The Under has cashed in 7 consecutive outings for the Suns.

Denver has picked up 6 consecutive victories while covering 5 of those games. The Nuggets have won by an average of 14.7 points per game (PPG) during the winning streak. The Under has cashed in 3 of the past 4 outings, too.

Suns at Nuggets picks and predictions

Prediction

Nuggets 117, Suns 104

Moneyline

The Nuggets (-420) will cost you more than 4 times your potential return, and that’s way too expensive for a singular play. In fact, even as part of a parlay, including Denver makes little to no sense, as there is just no value having the Nuggets as part of your ticket.

AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

The NUGGETS -9 (-114) are laying a pretty heavy number, but it’s worth playing. The Suns +9 (-106) are missing Booker, who is averaging 27.5 PPG, a team-high 6.8 RPG and 4.6 APG. His contributions will be missed for least another 7-10 days. The team will also be without Nurkic clogging the middle, allowing the bigs for Denver to have free reign, including C Nikola Jokic.

Phoenix has managed to cover just once in the past 6 games, while Denver is on a 5-1 ATS run in the same span. Look for the defending champs to keep up the good work against the number.

Over/Under

UNDER 223.5 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most in this Western Conference clash.

The Under has hit in 3 of the past 4 games for the Nuggets while going 4-1 in the past 5 games at Ball Arena.

For the Suns, they’ve cashed the Under in 7 consecutive games while managing 110 or fewer points on offense in each of the past 3 outings.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Oklahoma City Thunder at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Oklahoma City Thunder (41-18) and Phoenix Suns (35-25) meet at Footprint Center Sunday. Tip-off is set for 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Thunder vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Thunder lead 1-0

The Thunder were embarrassed last time out losing straight up as 11-point favorites in a 132-118 defeat at the San Antonio Spurs Thursday. G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game-high 31 points, and the Over hit for the 9th time in Oklahoma City’s last 11 games (9-1-1).

The Suns can relate to being upset as big favorites. Phoenix, which was favored by 9 points, lost 118-109 to the Houston Rockets Saturday with the Under (231.5) cashing at Footprint Center. G Devin Booker (ankle) was forced to leave in the 4th quarter; he has yet to be ruled out for Sunday.

In a Nov. 12 meeting, the Thunder covered as 3.5-point underdogs with a 111-99 win at Phoenix as the Under (232) hit. Gilgeous-Alexander had 35 points, and Oklahoma City outscored the Suns 31-13 in the 4th quarter.

Thunder at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 120, Suns 119

Moneyline

The Thunder (-250) should be able to take advantage of the banged-up Suns playing on the 2nd night of a back-to-back. However, this number is a little high.

PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

This spread seems like an overreaction to Booker injuring his ankle and C Jusuf Nurkic leaving with a sprained neck against Houston. F Kevin Durant and G Bradley Beal should be able to do most of the heavy-lifting for Phoenix offensively and keep this game somewhat close.

The Thunder are in a good spot after getting embarrassed at the Spurs, but this is way too many points for a team to lay on the road against Durant and Beal.

BET SUNS +6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over is 9-1-1 in the Thunder’s last 11 games, and I’m not looking to fade that trend.

The Suns put up just 109 points last time out — their lowest output in the last 14 games — and even if Booker sits, they should bounce back offensively behind a more productive night from Durant and Beal.

BET OVER 233.5 (-110).

Houston Rockets at Phoenix Suns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Houston Rockets at Phoenix Suns odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

For the 2nd straight game, the Houston Rockets (25-34) face the Phoenix Suns (35-24) on the road Saturday night. Tip-off from Footprint Center is at 9 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Rockets vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Suns handled the Rockets at home Thursday night 110-105 but failed to cover the 8.5-point spread as the Rockets picked up garbage-time points in the final 2 minutes. Phoenix has won 2 in a row and is 2-2 since the break.

The Rockets have lost 3 games in a row and 9 of their last 11 games. They have averaged 100 points per game in their last 3. C Alperen Sengun was in foul trouble Thursday and only posted 8 points and 4 assists in 22 minutes. G Jalen Green carried the loa with 34 points and drained 7 3’s.

Rockets at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 124, Rockets 112

Moneyline

The Rockets have lost 9 straight games on the road. They are 5-24 away from home.

The Suns are 19-11 at home and have won 9 straight home games.

The Rockets held the Suns to 40% shooting Thursday but only shot 33% themselves.

But how the Rockets have played on the road this season, you should not bet them. Betting the Suns at -450 just doesn’t make sense value-wise.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Rockets are 4-7 ATS in their last 11 games. since the start of 2024, they have only covered the spread in consecutive games twice, doing so 2 games in a row Jan. 1 and 3 and then 3 straight from Jan. 26-29.

Houston is 11-18 ATS on the road while the Suns are 12-18-1 ATS at home, making neither a good bet.

But with Houston’s road struggles, one can expect the Rockets not to be able to keep this second consecutive game in Phoenix close.

BET SUNS -9.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Only the 1st of 3 meetings between the two teams surpassed the projected total for this game.

The Suns’ last 10 games have alternated having higher and lower totals than the projection for this game. Their game on Thursday had a total of 215.

BET OVER 233.5 (-110).

Spurs at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Suns 121, Spurs 112

Moneyline

The Suns have beaten the Spurs 9 straight times. They scored 126 points on Saturday without Beal or Booker while the Spurs have given up over 120 points in all 3 games this season.

But betting the Suns at -300 isn’t worth the action.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Spurs are 1-2 ATS this season, covering the spread only in their 1 win. They failed to cover the spread in their 2 losses.

The Suns are 3-0 ATS to start the season. They have beaten the Spurs by at least 10 points in their last 3 meetings.

BET SUNS -7.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Over has hit in 2 of the Spurs’ 3 games. They have allowed over 120 points in all 3 games this season. They scored at least 119 in their first 2 games.

Season series: First meeting of 2023.

The Jazz played Friday night, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 120-118 at home as 4.5-point underdogs. They lost their season opener 130-114 at home to the Sacramento Kings.

The Suns are coming off a 100-95 road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, covering the 6.5-point spread as underdogs. They opened the season with a 108-104 road win over the Golden State Warriors.

Jazz at Suns picks and predictions

Prediction

Jazz 112, Suns 108

Moneyline

The Suns won’t have Beal and likely no Booker. They have depth, but they work much better as depth than starters.

They scored only 95 points Thursday. And while they have allowed 204 points in 2 games, the Jazz like to score, scoring 114 and 120 points in their first 2 games of the season.

Expect the Jazz to pick up an upset win over the favored Suns.

BET JAZZ (+180).

Against the spread

This is the first game the Suns have been favored. They covered the spread in both games to start the season.

The Jazz have been underdogs in every game so far this season and are 1-1 ATS.

The Suns’ lone victory was by 4 points.

I like the Jazz to win outright, but if you want some room to breathe for the outcome, JAZZ -5.5 (-110) isn’t a bad way to go.

Over/Under

The Suns’ highest game total so far this season is 212. The Jazz have had totals of 238 and higher in their 2 games so far.

Two of their 3 meetings last year did not reach tonight’s projected total.

BET UNDER 223.5 (-105).
