The Toronto Raptors (23-39) take on the Phoenix Suns (36-26) Thursday with tip-off from Footprint Center set for 9 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Raptors vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Raptors lead 1-0

The Raptors have lost 3 of 4 after a 139-98 extinction by the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday. F RJ Barrett had 15 points and 6 boards, and he’ll be the team’s primary offensive threat. They are operating without All-Star G Scottie Barnes, who broke his hand and required surgery.

The Suns took down the Denver Nuggets 117-107 Tuesday as 8.5-point underdogs. They are without G Devin Booker (ankle), who will also miss this one. F Kevin Durant had 35 points, 8 boards and 5 assists. He has gone for 30 in 2 of 3 games. That win snapped a 2-game losing streak. The Raptors beat the Suns 112-105 in November, but that Toronto squad was much different.

Raptors at Suns and predictions

Prediction

Suns 118, Raptors 101

Moneyline

There’s no play on the ML here, but I did spot a solid prop to consider. G Immanuel Quickley has 3+ 3-pointers in 6 of 7 games, and he has shot 28-for-62 (45.1%) during the stretch.

With Barnes out, he was the leading scorer in the last game, and he’ll continue to shoot. Take IMMANUEL QUICKLEY OVER 2.5 3-POINTERS (-155).

Against the spread

We have a lengthy spread here, and the Suns are 12-20-1 ATS at home. The Raptors are 16-14 ATS on the road, but they have traded off assets and aren’t nearly the same team they were. They were just blown out by 41 points by New Orleans, and while I don’t particularly like betting spreads this big, I’ll LEAN SUNS -10.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Raptors are 4-6 O/U over the last 10, and the Suns are 1-9. The Suns have touched 120 just twice in 10 games, and it would take that to cash an Over most likely.

Take the UNDER 233.5 (-110).
