Peyton Manning’s bringing a John Elway documentary to Netflix

Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions is involved in a new Netflix documentary following the life and career of pro football legend John Elway.

Coming soon to a streaming device near you: “ELWAY.”

“ELWAY, a new documentary following the life and career of pro football legend John Elway, is coming to Netflix,” the company announced Thursday.

The documentary is being made by Netflix, Skydance Sports, NFL Films, and Omaha Productions (the latter was founded by Peyton Manning).

Elway, 64, played quarterback for the Denver Broncos from 1983-1998, helping the team win two Super Bowls. He later returned to the club as an executive (2011-2021) and won a third Super Bowl.

“John Elway’s career isn’t just iconic, it’s darn near mythological,” director Ken Rodgers said in an interview with Peter White of Deadline.com. “His physical abilities, mental toughness and raw determination are the stuff of legend. We are all honored to partner with Netflix to tell the story of the man behind the legend.”

There’s been no word yet on when “ELWAY” will be available to stream, but fans can look forward to the doc hitting Netflix sometime down the road.

NFL announces skills challenges for 2025 Pro Bowl

The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will feature a relay race, dodgeball, tug-of-war and more.

Peyton Manning (AFC) and Eli Manning (NFC) are returning to coach the 2025 Pro Bowl Games this season and the NFL recently announced the skills challenges that will take place in Orlando.

In addition to a flag football game on Sunday, Feb. 2, the following challenges will happen before the game, via a press release from the NFL:

Thursday, Jan. 30:

  • Passing The Test: Quarterbacks try to hit targets at various distances around the field worth different point values in 40 seconds. Before the challenge, each quarterback will select a Pro Bowl Games teammate to answer five trivia questions about current Pro Bowl players. For every correct answer, the quarterback gets an additional 10 seconds. The winner of the competition is the team with the quarterback who scores the most points.
  • Satisfying Catches presented by SNICKERS®: One wide receiver, tight end and defensive back from each conference will compete in a challenge obstacle course, including catches from a jugs machine at three different distances, to test every aspect of catching a football. Each teammate will complete the course back-to-back with the lowest combined time winning the challenge.
  • Relay Race: A simultaneous relay-style event where four players from each conference complete a 40-yard dash before handing a football to the next athlete on their team, continuing until the fourth and final leg crosses the finish line. The conferences will compete in three rounds, with the fastest team winning.
  • Helmet Harmony: A game show to test player knowledge of their teammates, with every correct answer worth one point. The team with the most correct answers wins.
  • Dodgeball presented by Bud Light: A three-round tournament of classic dodgeball featuring six teams of five players. Teams will be a mix of AFC offensive, defensive and special teams players competing against a mix of NFC offensive, defensive and special teams players.

Sunday, Feb. 2:

  • Punt Perfect: Two players (one punter, one non-punter) from each conference punt from the 35-yard line, attempting to place as many punts as possible into a set of six buckets in the end zone. Each bucket is worth one point, with every fifth punt worth three points. The two players with the highest combined score will be the winners.
  • The Great Football Race: Six players from each conference will face off in a relay race consisting of five different challenges, culminating with a sled push. The team to cross the finish line first wins.
  • Tug-of-War: A five-on-five demonstration of teamwork, strength and strategy, and positioned above a foam pit, players are challenged to pull backwards on the rope, attempting to move the opposing team in their direction. The competition will be the best of three, and the winner who pulls the opposing team into the foam pit twice wins.

Fans can vote for the Pro Bowl through Dec. 23. The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will be held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando in February. The Denver Broncos who have two players who appear to be locks to make it.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes broke NFL record in Week 15 win vs. Browns

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes set an NFL record during Kansas City’s Week 15 win over the Cleveland #Browns on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is one of the most decorated players in the NFL and earned another place in the league’s record books during the defending Super Bowl champions’ Week 15 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

With his two-touchdown performance against the Browns, Mahomes surpassed Hall of Fame signal-caller Payton Manning on the NFL’s list of quarterbacks with the most touchdowns before the age of 30.

Mahomes has accumulated 254 total touchdowns in just 75 regular season games since joining Kansas City in 2018.

The Chiefs paid tribute to Mahomes’ incredible accomplishment in a post to Twitter from their official account:

The former Texas Tech Red Raider has already cemented himself as one of Kansas City’s most beloved icons and has shown no indication of dampening his legacy.

If the Chiefs can complete an ever-elusive Super Bowl three-peat this season, Mahomes may be well on his way to being forever enshrined in the halls of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Sorry, Colts fan: Peyton Manning is clearly a Bronco

Before a must-win game for the Colts on Sunday, Peyton Manning was spotted coaching up Broncos QB Bo Nix.

Peyton Manning’s two former NFL teams, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts, faced off on Sunday afternoon in a game with massive playoff implications for both clubs.

The Colts’ postseason hopes were dwindling and a loss would all but knock them out of the race. The Broncos, meanwhile, would need just one more win to clinch a playoff berth if they defeated Indy at home in Week 15.

About a week before the game, Manning predicted Denver would reach the playoffs during a ManningCast broadcast. Manning, as is his custom, said “my Broncos” when referring to Denver’s squad. No mention of the Colts.

Then, before Sunday’s game, Manning was spotted on the field coaching up rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Right before Nix was about to face an Indianapolis team that Manning quarterbacked for 13 seasons.

It certainly wasn’t a one-off scenario.

Despite spending just four years of his career with the Broncos, Manning still lives in the Denver area and he has season tickets. He attends most of the team’s games at Empower Field at Mile High.

After undergoing multiple neck surgeries and being let go by the Colts, Manning found a new home with the Broncos, and it seems that he’s made Broncos Country his permanent home. Fans in Indy won’t like to hear it, but Manning’s a Bronco through and through.

Justin Herbert on pace to break impressive record

Justin Herbert is on pace to break this record that’s currently held by Peyton Manning.

Justin Herbert is on pace to accomplish an outstanding feat.

Herbert needs 631 more passing yards to surpass the record for the most passing yards in a player’s first five seasons.

Currently held by Peyton Manning (20,617), Herbert must average 158 yards per game over the next four weeks to surpass the record.

Herbert surpassed Jameis Winston for the second-most passing yards in a player’s first five NFL seasons in the first half of the Chargers’ Week 13 win over the Falcons.

Herbert has had one of the least productive passing seasons, averaging just 212.6 yards per game. But he’s still been as sharp as ever and has done a good job taking care of the football, having only thrown one interception.

Giants barred Eli Manning from riding NYC subway during playing days

New York Giants great Eli Manning took his first-ever NYC subway ride last week, much to the public’s surprise.

Eli Manning played quarterback for the New York Giants for 16 seasons, appearing more games in a Giant uniform than any other player in the franchise’s 100-year history.

His career and accolades have been well documented and he is a semi-finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025 in his first year of eligibility.

This week, a little-known tidbit about Manning surfaced. In all of his time with the Giants and living in the New York Metropolitan Area, Eli never took the subway.

Until last week.

Manning was questioned by brother Peyton on Monday night’s ManningCast on why he never traveled underground in New York City.

“It was in my contract when I was playing, I wasn’t allowed to ride the subway,” Eli revealed. “I could get pushed in front of a train.”

Eli, who lives in New Jersey and has done so since joining the Giants in 2004, had another reason why he hasn’t taken a subway ride since retiring in 2019.

“I am a man of the people,” he said. “I live in New Jersey. I’m not in the city that often. I was in the city last week. I had to get from uptown to downtown — I hopped on the subway. I’m a man of the people.”

That may be so, but as much as everyone knows about the ubiquitous younger brother Peyton Manning, riding the subway was not on many fans’ lists.

Broncos fans (not Colts fans) loved Peyton Manning’s message on the ‘ManningCast’

“Could be my Broncos in that playoff game,” Peyton Manning said of the ManningCast’s postseason broadcast.

Peyton Manning spent the first 14 years of his Indianapolis Colts, but after undergoing multiple neck surgeries, he was released in 2012 and the Colts moved on with Andrew Luck.

Manning then landed with the Denver Broncos, where he played the final four years of his career. Manning helped Denver win four division titles and reach two Super Bowls during his time with the Broncos, and he retired after winning Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season.

Manning still lives in the Denver area and he has season tickets for Broncos games (you can spot him on the sideline of most home games). The retired quarterback also works on various projects with Omaha Productions, including the ManningCast with his brother, Eli, and former NFL coach Bill Belichick.

On the regular season finale of the ManningCast last night, Manning looked ahead to the playoff broadcast with a prediction about one of his former teams.

“Hey, Bill, we’ll see ya in the playoff game coming up,” Manning told Belichick at the end of the first quarter. “That’s the next time we’ll see ya. Looking forward to that. I don’t know who we’re going to have — could be my Broncos. Could be my Broncos in that playoff game, Eli. I’m just calling it right now.”

Eli nodded: “They’re playing well.”

Ironically, the Broncos will host the Colts on Sunday afternoon and Indy will be desperate for a win to keep its playoff hopes alive. Despite spending the majority of his career with the Colts, though, Manning dubbed Denver’s squad “my Broncos,” and he’s backing them to reach the postseason.

Here’s a sampling of how fans reacted on Twitter/X.

Added another fan on Reddit: “I know Indy loves him, but he chose us and loves us more… I love it.”

The 48-year-old retired QB is an official member of Broncos Country.

Who is Arch Manning’s dad?

Cooper Manning, the older brother of Peyton and Eli, is the father of Arch Manning, a redshirt freshman quarterback for the Texas Longhorns.

When the Texas Longhorns face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game today, Quinn Ewers will start the game at quarterback, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Arch Manning rotate in.

If Manning enters the game, football fans tuning in to watch Texas for the first time this season could be drawn to ask a question that will continue to be asked countless times leading up to the 2026 NFL draft: Who is Arch Manning’s dad?

Arch, 19, is a redshirt freshman at Texas who has completed 67.8% of his passes this season for 939 yards with nine touchdowns against two interceptions. He has also rushed 20 times for 95 yards and four scores.

Who is Arch Manning’s dad?

Cooper Manning, the older brother of Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, is Arch’s father. Cooper was a star wide receiver in high school at Isidore Newman (where his brothers and son also played), but his football career was cut short by spinal stenosis before he was set to play at Ole Miss.

When is Arch Manning eligible for the NFL draft?

Arch needs to be at least three years removed from high school before being eligible for the NFL draft. So the earliest he could declare for the draft would be 2026. Arch’s uncles, Peyton and Eli, both spent four years in college. If Arch follows the same path, that would put him in the 2027 class. First things, first: Arch will look to become the full-time starter at Texas in 2025.
