Broncos fans loved the way Peyton Manning signed off on the ‘ManningCast’

“Watch out for my Broncos,” Peyton Manning said at the end of the ManningCast. “The Broncos are coming.”

Following the Houston Texans’ 34-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football this week, Peyton Manning signed off on the ManningCast with a message loved by Denver Broncos fans.

“Watch out for my Broncos,” Manning said. “The Broncos are coming.”

Manning, of course, played the final four years of his career in Denver from 2012-2015. Manning helped the Broncos win the AFC West in all four of those seasons and they reached a pair of Super Bowls. Manning retired from the NFL after winning Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season.

Manning, 48, still lives in the Denver area and he has tickets to attend the team’s home games. Even though he does not hold an official position with the Broncos, Manning has remained closely connected to the team.

Denver is scheduled to host the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in Week 13. Unfortunately, there’s no ManningCast scheduled for that game, so Broncos fans won’t get to hear Manning call one of their games this year, at least not during the regular season.

Who’s hosting the 2024 CMA Awards? Here’s the answer.

Here’s who’s hosting.

The 2024 Country Music Awards — or the CMAs, as you might call them — are here, which means lots of great performances, some hardware handed out for some terrific music.

It also means some stars are going to get roasted and joked about by the hosts as is the tradition at awards shows. We saw that last year thanks to co-hosts Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan.

So if you’re here, you might be wondering: who are the hosts this year?

Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will be back for hosting duties, and they’re joined by fellow cohost Lainey Wilson this time.

Enjoy the show!

Sean Payton downplays sweeping NFC South with Broncos

For the first time since Peyton Manning’s retirement, the Broncos swept a division. “We’re just focused on winning,” Sean Payton said.

Sean Payton won seven NFC South division titles during his time with the New Orleans Saints. He’s now coaching the Denver Broncos and while an AFC West title might be out of reach in 2024, the Broncos are on pace to make the NFL playoffs as a Wild Card team this fall.

Denver’s playoff chances are helped by the team’s perfect record against Payton’s old division this season. Following a 38-6 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Broncos are now 4-0 against the NFC South in 2024.

Before the Falcons game, Denver previously beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (26-7), New Orleans Saints (33-10) and Carolina Panthers (28-14). Combined, the Broncos outscored NFC South teams 125-37.

So, does Payton have it out for his old division?

“No,” Payton said after the Falcons game. “We’re just focused on winning. I could say something smart, but I’m not going to right now.”

This marks the first time Denver has swept an entire division since Peyton Manning’s retirement. Before this season, the team’s last division sweep came in 2015 when the Broncos went 4-0 against the NFC North.

Former Colts TE Ben Utecht describes his experience playing with Peyton Manning

Former Indianapolis Colts tight end Ben Utecht describes his experience playing with Peyton Manning w/ @EdEastonJr

This week, Touchdown Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to former Indianapolis Colts tight end Ben Utecht.

In his interview with Easton Jr., Utecht discussed his collaboration with his alma mater, the University of Minnesota, on developing the Shower Sockᵀᴹ and his experience playing with pro football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

“We assembled a team of student engineers (University of Minnesota) to start the prototyping process,” Utecht said of the development of the Shower Sockᵀᴹ. “We also built out some teaching opportunities, where I had a chance to come in and provide some teaching and coaching around organizational culture. This is my passion outside this business, as I work with companies and help them build championship cultures using the Tony Dungy model.

“They wanted to bring that into their ecosystem. So, I had a chance to pour into the students and faculty as well. In return, they partnered with me to help me build this prototype to launch in the marketplace. So I hope that partnership will remain as we begin a hard launch and build a larger product line over time.”

Utecht played four seasons for the Colts after going undrafted in 2004 out of Minnesota. He credits the culture during his tenure with the franchise, especially with Manning as quarterback, pushing him to be a better player.

“Peyton Manning’s skill level actually removed or balanced the pressure,” Utecht explained. “When you have somebody like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Drew Brees, you have an example of a true professional who stewards every moment. The day is different than the rest, elevating every player’s performance on the field, naturally and subconsciously. It just everybody’s confidence goes up. Everybody’s attention to detail goes up. Everybody’s energy, you know, and what they’re giving on every play increases, and you don’t even really realize it’s happening.”

Utecht started in the Colts Super Bowl XLI victory over the Chicago Bears. He finished with one catch for eight yards.

“So when you have a quarterback, that is a master of the football chess game. You trust that he will put you in the best position to win every time,” said Utecht. “So when the ball is coming to you, it’s because of what he’s seen, and you’re the person that’s open. If he places the ball on your back hip, it’s because he’s telling you that the corner is coming from the outside, so you need to adjust and come back inside, or else you’ll get hit. I mean, that’s how specific Peyton was on his ability to put the ball in the right place to give you the best chance to win. And that actually removes pressure because, because of the ability, the amount of trust you have in that player has increased dramatically.”

See it: Giants legend Eli Manning hits the headstand celly after Chiefs win

Retired New York Giants legend Eli Manning broke out the viral headstand celebration following the Chiefs’ Monday night victory.

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 8-0 on the season after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-24, in overtime on Monday Night Football.

The Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli, naturally covered the game on ESPN on their popular weekly program, the ManningCast, on ESPN2.

After the Chiefs win, the 43-year-old two-time Super Bowl MVP did a celebratory headstand to the delight of his brother and their guest, comedic actor Jason Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”).

Sudeikis, a former Saturday Night Live alum who has gone on to win Golden Globes and Emmy awards, is an ardent supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Incarnate Word wide receiver Jalen Walthall started the now-viral headstand celebration trend ahead of the NFL’s Week 9 slate. Since then, players all over the country have been breaking it out, including Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London and Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown this past Sunday.

Manning may have stumbled a bit at first but he ultimately nailed it.
