Mel Tucker and his staff have made the state of New Jersey a priority in their recruiting efforts, ever since arriving to Michigan State.

The 2021 class featured two members of the garden state, and the Spartan staff is looking to add to that number in 2022.

3-star tight end Owen Anderson and 4-star offensive tackle Jacob Allen are currently teammates at the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, and both are former teammates of Michigan State 2021 signee Kevin Wigenton.

Anderson and Allen have scheduled to officially visit Michigan State together the weekend of June 18-20th.

Both players are at a key position of need for the Spartans and would be a welcomed addition to the 2022 recruiting class.

During his time with Michigan State Football, Mel Tucker has shown a commitment to recruiting in the state of New Jersey, and that is continuing in the 2022 class. On Wednesday, the Spartans offered 2022 wide receiver and outside linebacker Owen Anderson.

Anderson currently plays for The Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, which is where Michigan State commit Kevin Wigenton played high school ball.

From what I can see, Anderson is currently unranked and the Spartans look to be his first Power 5 offer that I can find.
