The Oklahoma Sooners head into the regular season finale still with a shot to make the Big 12 title game. They have to beat TCU on Friday and hope for some good things to go their way, but there’s still a chance.

A win over the Horned Frogs would give Brent Venables his first 10-win season as a head coach and Oklahoma the bounce-back season they needed heading into the SEC in 2024.

With bowl season right around the corner, the Big 12 has eight teams that have earned bowl eligibility. BYU, UCF, and TCU can all earn bowl bids if they can pick up a win this Saturday.

BYU plays Oklahoma State. A Cougars win and a Sooners win puts Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game.

Here’s a look at the latest Big 12 bowl projections from USA TODAY Sports.

RECAP: Colorado’s offensive woes continue in loss to Oregon State

Colorado’s offense managed 238 yards of total offense in Saturday’s loss to Oregon State

The same Buffs that began the season 3-0 are now 4-5.

Colorado’s once-explosive offense has floundered over the past month and unless the O-line can step up its play considerably, things may not get better in 2023.

For the majority of Saturday’s 26-19 loss to Oregon State, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and his offense struggled to get any type of momentum going. Colorado averaged only 4.1 yards per play and finished with a disappointing 238 yards of total offense. Statistically, it wasn’t the Buffs’ worst offensive performance of the season, but we all know that this unit is capable of much more.

Social media reacts to Colorado’s offensive struggles against Oregon State

At least so far, Pat Shurmur’s play-calling hasn’t translated to much offense

At least so far, Pat Shurmur’s promotion to co-offensive coordinator hasn’t paid dividends for Colorado in its homecoming game against Oregon State.

The Buffs managed only 52 total offensive yards in the first half — 41 through the air and 11 on the ground. To make matters worse, quarterback Shedeur Sanders clearly hasn’t recovered physically from the beating he took last week at UCLA.

The lone bright spot has been Colorado’s defense, which produced two turnovers, three sacks and four TFLs in the first half. However, after allowing a late Oregon State touchdown, the Buffs entered their locker room down 14-3.

Here’s what social media is saying about Colorado’s offensive struggles:

Tony’s Take: Predicting the final score of Colorado-Oregon State

Drop your final score prediction below

Change has come to the Colorado Buffaloes as they try and right the ship against another ranked opponent, the Oregon State Beavers, on Saturday night. Analyst Pat Shurmur has been elevated to co-offensive coordinator and will assume play-calling duties alongside Sean Lewis.

Will this help an offensive unit that has come under fire due to its subpar play in the trenches? I’m taking a wait-and-see approach.

Changes were needed after what we saw from the offense against UCLA, but I wasn’t expecting a change this big, especially heading into one of Colorado’s tougher games. The Oregon State Beavers play with a physicality that the Buffs have struggled with this season — a power running game combined with good defense. While the Beavers’ defense has allowed more points during Pac-12 play, they still play with that rough edge.

The Buffaloes could always surprise everyone and come to play on a huge recruiting weekend. They can even use me as bulletin board material. But I see this one getting away from the Buffs.

Final score prediction: Oregon State 31, Colorado 17.

Oregon State at Colorado: Stream, injury report, broadcast info for Saturday

Where will you be watching?

Colorado’s offense may look a little different this week against Oregon State with quality control analyst Pat Shurmur reportedly expected to help Sean Lewis call plays. Head coach Deion Sanders’ decision comes after the Buffs’ O-line struggled mightily last Saturday at UCLA.

Will the adjustment help keep quarterback Shedeur Sanders upright? We’ll find out soon, but Colorado’s big men up front will certainly be challenged in trying to slow down Oregon State’s physical pass rushers.

Colorado enters its homecoming game at 4-4 (1-4 Pac-12) while head coach Jonathan Smith’s Beavers are 6-2 (3-2 Pac-12). With Oregon State’s conference future still uncertain, this could be the final matchup between these two programs for some time.

Colorado football: Five keys to a homecoming win over the Beavers

Colorado must master these five areas in order to beat Oregon State on Saturday night

The stars will be out in Boulder both on and off the field as the Colorado Buffaloes welcome the No. 16 Oregon State Beavers and a host of blue-chip prospects to Folsom Field on Saturday.

This series has become a back-and-forth affair with the Beavers holding a one-game advantage, 7-6. The two teams have alternated wins ever since the series was tied up at five-a-piece. So after losing to OSU last season, it’s the Buffs’ turn to take home a win.

CU will have its work cut out on Saturday night, but here are my five keys to upsetting the Oregon State Beavers:

Bold predictions for Colorado’s Week 10 matchup against Oregon State

What are you predictions for Colorado’s homecoming game against the Beavers?

They aren’t there yet, but Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes are nearing must-win mode as the 2023 college football season winds down.

Up next for the Buffs is a homecoming matchup against the Oregon State Beavers, who enter the contest ranked No. 16 in the country in the initial CFP rankings that were released on Tuesday.

While a win is not probable for Colorado, the Beavers are beatable, and if we have learned anything from the first season of the Deion Sanders era, it’s that you can never count out the Buffs.

As kickoff approaches, here are five bold predictions for Saturday night’s Pac-12 battle at Folsom Field:
