Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon vs. Colorado odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon vs. Colorado odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Oregon Ducks (22-11) battle Colorado Buffaloes (24-9) Saturday in the Pac-12 Championship Game. Tip from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Oregon vs. Colorado odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

The 4th-seeded Oregon upset top seed Arizona 67-59 Friday night in the semifinals of the Pac-12 tournament. The Ducks outscored the Wildcats 44-26 in the 2nd half to win outright as a 12-point underdog with the Under (155.5) cashing. The backcourt combination of Jermaine Couisnard and Jackson Shelstad scored 41 points while C N’Faly Dante had a double-double (14 points and 10 rebounds). Oregon is trying to win the Pac-12 Tournament title for the first time since 2019.

The 3rd-seeded Colorado beat No. 2 Washington State 58-52 by forcing 19 turnovers Friday night. They covered the 3-point spread, and the Under (141.5) cashed. Buffaloes leading-scorer G KJ Simpson struggled shooting (4-of-15) but still managed a game-high 16 points and also chipped in 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal. Colorado has not won the Pac-12 Tournament title since 2012.

Colorado swept the season series with Oregon, covering the spread in both games as well. Both contests also went Over the posted total.

Oregon vs. Colorado picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado 78, Oregon 73

Moneyline

PASS.

Colorado’s (-156) juice to win this game is a bit more than I would like to bet. I really like the spread in this one, so I’m going to put my wager there.

Against the spread

BET COLORADO -2.5 (-120).

It is generally very hard for any college basketball team to beat another one 3 times in the same season, but in this case, I think it happens.

Despite the fact that the Ducks have won 3 straight coming into this title game, they have only covered the spread in 2 of their last 12 games. You have to think that they used a lot to get past Arizona in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Colorado has won 8 straight and has covered the spread in 6 of those games.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

BET OVER 140.5 (-105).

The Over cashed in both of their previous games this season. They have been over in 4 of their last 5 head-to-heads. Oregon has been Over their total in 4 of their last 6. Colorado is one of those teams that can win a slow, grind-it-out game or an up-tempo shootout.

Oregon at Colorado odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Oregon at Colorado odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oregon Ducks (8-6, 2-1 Pac-12) and Colorado Buffaloes (9-6, 1-3) meet Thursday in Boulder. The opening tip at CU Events Center will be at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Oregon vs. Colorado odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Oregon flips the calendar to 2023 after going 4-1 (2-3 against the spread) in its last 5 games in Dec. The Ducks have played a tough schedule including a slew of solid defensive teams. They are mostly untested on the road, though: Thursday’s game in Boulder marks just Oregon’s 2nd true road contest of the season.

The Buffaloes are back on home hardwood after splitting a pair of road games to wrap up 2022. The most recent of those was Saturday at Cal when they lost 80-76 as 10.5-point favorites. Colorado was out-rebounded by a wide margin and shot just 26.9% from distance; leading scorer K.J. Simpson had 25 points in a loss that snapped a 5-game win streak.

Oregon at Colorado picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado 76, Oregon 73

Moneyline

AVOID. Peg the true odds as being muddled between these prices.

Against the spread

The home team has gone 17-5 ATS over the last 22 games in this series.

Colorado is a slight lean here, but the Buffs are only a value play at -1.5 or better. STEER CLEAR.

Over/Under

The Over is 9-2-1 in Oregon’s last 12 games following an ATS loss and is 4-0 in Colorado’s last 4 games overall.

This number opened around 146 in much of the market. It dipped a bit and is ripe for conquest on the upside. Figure on up-tempo play getting in some good work in the transition game. Oregon gets a lot of quality looks around the rim and has some projectable upside in its 3-point game. The Ducks have had more than a few solid performances against foes that defend the arc well as they’ve struggled from distance for the season.

TAKE THE OVER 143.5 (-110).

Oregon at Colorado odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oregon at Colorado odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oregon Ducks (7-1, 5-0 Pac-12) travel to Boulder to battle the Colorado Buffaloes (1-7, 1-4) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Oregon vs. Colorado odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oregon is No. 8 in the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY sports and also No. 8 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings. The Buffaloes are nowhere near a match for the Ducks on the field.

Since Oregon’s 49-3 loss to Georgia in Week 1, the Ducks have averaged 48.0 points per game (PPG) and run off 7 wins in a row. Even against their stiffest competition, then No. 10 UCLA, they won 45-30 in a game not as close as the score makes it seem.

Colorado was lucky to get a win this season against a Cal team that was overlooking the Buffaloes. In 5 conference games, Colorado has averaged 20.0 PPG, while allowing 37.0 PPG. The Oregon defense — with LBs Noah Sewell and Justin Flowe — is nasty and Colorado will be lucky to score 20 points. With Ducks QB Bo Nix having 8 passing TDs and 6 rushing TDs in his last 3 games, Colorado can only hope to hold Oregon under 37.

Oregon at Colorado picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 55, Colorado 10

Moneyline

AVOID. Oregon (-10000) will win, but wagering $10,000 to win $100 is never worth the risk. Do not wager anything on the ML here.

Against the spread

BET OREGON -31.5 (-110).

Oregon’s Nix has been a different player since the Week 1 Georgia loss. He has 14 TDs in his last 3 games, including 3 passing TDs and 3 rushing TDs against Cal last week.

The Buffaloes defense is terrible, having given up 185 points in 5 conference games. Colorado will be heavily outmatched, making OREGON -31.5 (-110) my FAVORITE BET in the game.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 62.5 (-112)

The only reason this is not my best bet is that Oregon may not give up enough points to get to the Over.

If Colorado does get to 10 points, the Over should hit. But if Colorado is as inept as anticipated, cashing an Over ticket could be iffy … even in garbage time.

First look: Oregon at Colorado odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s Oregon at Colorado college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The No. 8 Oregon Ducks (7-1, 5-0 Pac-12) and Colorado Buffaloes (1-7, 1-4) meet Saturday at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Oregon vs. Colorado odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our college football picks and predictions.

The Ducks were rolled 49-3 in that ugly neutral-site game against Georgia to start, and that bad loss will likely hinder their playoff chances. But Oregon has kept hope alive with 7 straight wins, scoring 41 or more points in each of the victories. It is also 6-1 ATS during the win streak.

The Buffaloes have had a disastrous season, but Colorado has shown slight improvement lately. It scored a season-high 34 points in a loss at home to Arizona State Saturday, and it won, Oct. 15, at home against California as a 15.5-point underdog. After an 0-5 ATS start, the Buffs are 2-1 ATS across the past three.

Oregon at Colorado head-to-head

The Ducks lead the all-time series 14-9, including wins in 8 of the previous 9 meetings. These teams haven’t met in Boulder since Oct. 3, 2015, a 41-24 victory by Oregon. In fact, the Ducks have won 4 straight trips to Colorado, with the Buffs last defeating the Ducks at home on Sept. 14, 1985.

Pac-12 Tournament: Oregon vs. Colorado odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Oregon vs. Colorado odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oregon Ducks take on the Colorado Buffaloes in the second round of the Pac-12 Tournament Thursday. Tip-off from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set for 5:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Oregon vs. Colorado odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Oregon entered the Pac-12 Tournament as the fifth seed and defeated Oregon State 86-72 in the opening round. The Ducks entered the tournament as losers of three straight outings and five of their last six games.

Oregon was just 12-19 against the spread (ATS) on the season and was just 7-8 straight up (SU) away from home. The Ducks ended the regular season fourth in the conference in field goal percentage (44.4).

The Buffaloes enter with a slightly better 12-16-2 ATS record and were 8-5 SU away from home. Colorado had a three-game losing skid in the middle of the season but followed it up by winning seven of its last eight.

Colorado is 1-1 this season against the Ducks, beating them 82-78 at Oregon Jan. 25 and then losing 66-51 at home Feb. 3.

Oregon vs. Colorado odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado 74, Oregon 70

Money line

BET on COLORADO (-108).

The Buffaloes are playing better basketball at a better time.

They were 13-8 entering February and then ripped off seven wins in nine games. Oregon is just 5-6 straight up since the start of February, ending the season with losses at Washington and at Washington State.

Colorado is also better at things that win you games down the stretch. They finished first in the conference in three-point percentage and free-throw percentage.

Oregon was eighth and tenth in those categories, respectively. As we saw with Xavier’s Wednesday loss, free-throw shooting can have a massive impact, and Colorado should get a nice boost due to their ability to convert at the line.

Against the spread

PASS.

Colorado doesn’t have a single 1-point loss on the season so I’ll take them to win outright.

Over/Under

LEAN to the OVER 136.5 (-115).

While Oregon may not be a great covering team, what it does well is score and get shots up. The Ducks sit second in the Pac-12 conference in field goal attempts per game.

They rank 162 in possessions per game in the nation which is just in the top half. They’re averaging 72.1 points per game and are 18-11-2 O/U on the season.

The Buffaloes are 14-16 O/U and rank first in three-point and field throw percentages in the Pac 12 and are third in field-goal percentage within the conference.

Colorado can score efficiently and Oregon can bring the pace, two reasons why I favor the OVER 136.5 (-115) here.

Oregon at Colorado odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Oregon at Colorado odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oregon Ducks (13-7, 6-3 Pac-12) pay a visit to Boulder, Colo., to take on the Colorado Buffaloes (13-8, 5-6) Thursday. The Pac-12 contest at the CU Events Center is slated to tip-off at 10 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Oregon vs. Colorado odds and lines, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Oregon plays at a slowed-down pace but has one of the more efficient offenses in the Pac-12. The Ducks rank fourth in the circuit in scoring with 73.9 points per game and have shot a robust 49.8% from the floor over their last 10 outings. UO has gone 8-2 over those 10 games, although one of the two losses came to these Buffaloes Jan. 25.

Colorado won 82-78 at Oregon in the previous meeting. The Buffs shot 50.0% from the floor that day, but they closed out a western swing shooting a combined 31.2% in losses at Washington and Washington State. CU is just 2-5 since Jan. 13.

The Buffaloes are 4-2 SU and 4-2 ATS over the last six games of this series.

Oregon at Colorado odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 72, Colorado 69

Money line

The lean in general is on the Ducks, but any value here is drowned out by the juice in what figures to be a close game. STEER CLEAR.

Against the spread

The favorite is 12-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings between Oregon and Colorado.

The Ducks are a team heading in the right direction and are much the better shooting squad in this matchup. They’re the more experienced team and worthy of a 2-and-a-half or 3-point cushion in this one.

BACK THE DUCKS -2.5 (-110).

Over/Under

CU has been on the road for three straight games, and the Over has hit in home returns the last four times such a scenario came up. The Over is 13-3 in the Ducks’ last 16 road games against teams with a home winning mark of .600-or-better.

Oregon owns some rising pace figures of late and when you add in Colorado being at its best at home you can peg the OVER 138.5 (-110) with some slight value.

Oregon at Colorado odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Oregon Ducks at Colorado Buffaloes sports betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Oregon Ducks (8-1 overall, 3-0 Pac-12) travel east for a Thursday battle against the Colorado Buffaloes (7-3, 1-2). The contest at Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colo., is slated for a 5 p.m. ET tip. Below, we analyze the Oregon-Colorado college basketball betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Oregon is No. 15 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oregon at Colorado: Betting odds, spread and lines

  • Money line: Oregon +135 (bet $100 to win $135) | Colorado -160 (bet $160 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Oregon +3.5 (-115) | Colorado -3.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 141.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oregon at Colorado: Three things to know

  1. Colorado returns home after a pair of neutral-site games and three straight contests on the road. The Buffs haven’t played at home — where they are 8-1 over the last calendar year — since Dec. 16. When Colorado hosted Oregon last season (Jan. 2, 2020), the Buffaloes defeated the Ducks, 74-65. CU is 143-27 at home in its 10-plus seasons under head coach Tad Boyle.
  2. Oregon struggled in road games down the stretch in 2019-20, and this season the Ducks have played just one true road contest (74-71 win at Washington Dec. 12). Oregon is just 5-9 over its last 14 games as a road underdog.
  3. Both defenses rank as top-50 units. The Ducks head into the game allowing 63.6 points per game (48th NCAA-I). Colorado has allowed 61.7 PPG (30th). Oregon arrives in Boulder with an eight-game win streak in tow. The Ducks haven’t allowed 70 points in any games over the back half of that run.

Oregon at Colorado: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oregon 70, Colorado 67

Money line (ML)

True odds appear to be well-bracketed here: PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

Colorado has scuffled in shooting the ball of late (42.9% field-goal accuracy in its last three games). Oregon figures to have a rebounding edge and be a bit more battle-tested at this stage of the winter.

BACK THE DUCKS +3.5 (-115).

Over/Under (O/U)

Oregon usually wants to get its points around the rim. Colorado defends the near-proximity shots quite well, and CU games against better talent have produced lower scores. Overall, the Under has gone 7-2 in the Buffaloes’ last nine games.

TAKE THE UNDER 141.5 (-110) as a play with solid value in a game that should produce a low tempo.
