March Madness: Oklahoma vs. Missouri odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Missouri Tigers vs. Oklahoma Sooners odds and lines, with March Madness Round 1 picks and predictions.

The 9-seed Missouri Tigers (16-9) face off with the 8-seed Oklahoma Sooners (15-10) Saturday in the first round of the West Regional at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The tip-off is set for 4:25 p.m. ET and will be airing on TNT. Below, we analyze the Missouri-Oklahoma odds and lines, with March Madness NCAA Tournament picks and predictions.

Oklahoma struggled at the end of its season but slid into the Big Dance because it played in the winningest conference in the nation.

The Sooners has lost six of their previous seven games with the only winning coming against an Iowa State team that didn’t have a single conference win and they failed to cover eight in a row.

The Tigers alternated between winning and losing in each of the past seven games, are 3-6 SU and 2-7 ATS in the previous nine contests.

This is Missouri head coach Cuonzo Martin’s second NCAA Tournament appearance in his fourth-year on the job.

Oklahoma vs. Missouri: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Missouri 71, Oklahoma 66

Money line (ML)

PASS on the money line because the Tigers are the pick but why not take the point if it costs as much as Missouri’s money line? Obviously, we don’t want a Missouri 1-point loss but a push is better than a loss.

Play our new, free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

It would appear that MISSOURI +1 (-110) has been under-seeded in this tournament because it has a better resume than Oklahoma -1 (-110).

12 of Missouri’s games were played against teams in the NCAA Tournament and the Tigers started this season out 6-0 with victories including South Region 15-seed Oral Roberts (who just upset 2-seed Ohio State), Midwest Region 1-seed Illinois.

Don’t get me wrong, the Sooners have impressive wins too, but I’ll take the Tigers’ wins over them and, according to Ken Pom, Missouri is ranked 11th in experience.

Lastly, the sharp side of the market is barreling into Missouri, which has caused the Tigers to lose a point worth of value on the opening line.

GIMME MISSOURI +1 (-110) for 1 unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

Even though I like Missouri to win outright, Oklahoma’s defense will make it tough on the Tigers.

Missouri is a poor 3-point shooting team (ranked 259th in 3-point percentage) and gets to the free-throw line at the 37th-highest rate, but Oklahoma is 13th in defensive free-throw rate.

The Sooners do a really good job at packing the paint because of which OU is 61st in defensive 2-point shooting percentage but 354th in defensive 3-point shooting.

BET UNDER 138.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

The No. 9 Missouri Tigers (16-9) are 1.5-point underdogs to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament when they face off against the No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners (15-10) on Saturday. Here are some insights into this 8-9 matchup in the West Region bracket that begins at 7:25 PM ET, live on TNT.

The Sooners were led by 19 points from Brady Manek in their 69-62 loss to Kansas on Thursday. They failed to cover the spread in the contest and the teams combined to go under the 135.5-point over/under.

Last time out, Xavier Pinson scored 14 points as the Tigers fell short in a 70-64 loss to Arkansas on Friday. The teams combined to score 134 points to hit the under on the 149 point total by bookmakers, while the Tigers were 5-point underdogs and failed to cover the spread.

  • Dru Smith leads the Tigers in scoring (14.1 points per game) and assisting (3.9 assists per game). Pinson is the top three-point shooter for the team, connecting on 1.7 per game.
  • The Tigers’ 73.6 points per game are just 4.4 more points than the 69.2 the Sooners allow to opponents.
  • Missouri has gone 12-4 overall and 10-0 against the spread in games where it scores more than 69.2 points.

Missouri at Oklahoma: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oklahoma 73, Missouri 72

Money line

The Oklahoma Sooners are the favorites to win this matchup according to both BetMGM’s money line and the model.

Against the spread (ATS)

The spread for this matchup suggested by the model (0.9 points) is a little tighter than the 1.5-point edge MGM gives to the Sooners, though the data still has them as the favorite.

Over/Under (O/U)

In this matchup, the model projects a total (144.8 points) slightly higher than the MGM over/under (140.5 points).

Iowa State vs. Oklahoma odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Iowa State Cyclones vs. Oklahoma Sooners odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The No. 10-seed Iowa State Cyclones (2-21, 0-18 Big 12) meet the No. 7-seed Oklahoma Sooners (14-9, 9-8) in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Kan., Wednesday for a 9:30 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Iowa State-Oklahoma odds and lines, with NCAA college basketball picks and predictions.

Iowa State vs. Oklahoma: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:15 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Iowa State +525 (bet $100 to win $525) | Oklahoma -750 (bet $750 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Iowa State +11.5 (-110) | Oklahoma -11.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 140.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Iowa State vs. Oklahoma: Three things to know

  1. Iowa State lost every single conference game this season, although it did come within five last time out at Kansas State of erasing that goose egg. But it was a loss, and a push, nonetheless. The Cyclones were also 0-3-1 ATS across the final four outings.
  2. Oklahoma finished the season on a four-game slide, although it was a series of close calls. They lost by five at K-State Feb. 23, they lost by four in OT at home against Oklahoma State Feb. 27, and by four in regulation in Stillwater, Okla., March 1. They were also edged 69-65 against Texas Thursday in the regular-season finale. They haven’t covered in the past five games dating back to Feb. 13 at West Virginia.
  3. These teams met twice in the regular season, with Oklahoma winning 66-56 in Iowa as an 11.5-point favorite Feb. 20, while the Sooners won on their home floor 79-72 Feb. 6 as 14-point favorites.

Iowa State vs. Oklahoma: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oklahoma 74, Iowa State 66

Money line (ML)

There is nearly zero chance Oklahoma (-750) gets tripped up against Iowa State (+525), a team that went winless in Big 12 conference play. Still, you can’t risk seven-and-a-half times your potential return on a team that ended the season on a four-game skid. PASS.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

IOWA STATE +11.5 (-110) lost both regular-season meetings against Oklahoma -11.5 (-110), but the Cyclones covered both games. The Sooners’ average margin of victory against the Cyclones was 8.5 per game, and you can expect I-State to keep it within single digits in this one, too, before they bow out of the conference tourney.

Over/Under (O/U)

The TOTAL 140.5 is too close to call. The Over/Under split in the two regular-season meetings. If there was a lean, it would be to the Under, as Iowa State has averaged just 65.3 PPG. Of course, they’re allowing 76.6 PPG to rank 305th in the nation defensively. The best bet is to stay away and just focus on the spread. PASS.

  • Against the spread/ATS: Texas +1.5 (-110) | Oklahoma -1.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 142.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Texas at Oklahoma: Three things to know

  1. The Longhorns have alternated wins and losses across the past four outings. They’re coming off an 81-67 win at Iowa State last time out, but they’re just 2-2 SU/1-3 ATS across the past four games away from home.
  2. The Sooners are on a three-game slide, including a home-and-home loss against the rival Oklahoma State Cowboys. Not only is Oklahoma 0-3 SU in the past three, but they also enter on an 0-4 ATS skid. They’re also 1-5 ATS across the past six after a 7-0 ATS run from Jan. 9-Feb. 1.
  3. These teams played a nail-biter on Jan. 26 in Austin, as the Sooners posted an 80-79 victory against the Longhorns as the Over (143.5) connected.

Texas at Oklahoma: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Texas 75, Oklahoma 73

Money line (ML)

TEXAS (+105) looks to add to the woes of Oklahoma (-125), and they will be looking to return the favor after the Sooners topped the Longhorns on Texas’ home court earlier this season. And while the ‘Horns aren’t playing great basketball lately, they’re doing a little better than the skidding Sooners.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

TEXAS +1.5 (-110) is the play, although betting them comes with a little risk. The Longhorns are 2-8-1 ATS across the past 11 games, and they haven’t covered in consecutive games since Dec. 1-2 in a pair of neutral-court battles against Indiana and North Carolina.

Look to the series trends to feel better about a Texas wager. The road team has cashed in each of the past six meetings, and the underdog is 15-3 ATS across the past 18 in this series.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 142.5 (-110) has been the rule lately, going 12-3 in the past 15 games for Texas, and 5-2 in the previous seven outings against teams with a winning percentage above .600. The Over also cashed in the previous meeting in Austin.

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Oklahoma at Oklahoma State odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Oklahoma Sooners (14-7 overall, 9-6 Big 12) visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys (16-6, 9-6 ) in a Monday night (9 p.m. ET) basketball bedlam battle at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla. Below, we analyze the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State odds and lines, with NCAA college basketball picks and predictions.

Oklahoma is No. 8 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. Oklahoma State is 21st.

  • Against the spread/ATS: Oklahoma +1.5 (-120) | Oklahoma State -1.5 (+100)
  • Over/Under: 142.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State: Three things to know

  1. Monday night’s game marks round 2 in the two-games-in-three-days intrastate tussle between the Sooners and Cowboys. Oklahoma State dealt OU a 94-90 overtime defeat in Norman, Okla., Saturday. Free throws loomed large in an otherwise taut statistical matchup. OSU outscored the Sooners, 23-14, from the line despite getting just six more attempts than OU. The Cowboys went 23-for-26 (88.5%).
  2. Oklahoma’s loss Saturday marked the second in a row for the Sooners who also lost to Kansas State last week. Before the twin setbacks, OU had been 8-1 over its previous nine games. Over those nine games (Jan. 12-Feb. 20), the Sooners averaged just 9.4 turnovers per game. They committed a combined 27 against the Wildcats and Cowboys last week.
  3. The Cowboys enter this contest on a four-game win streak. Over that stretch, OSU has held foes to a 41.4% mark from the field. Three of the team’s four straight wins have come at home, and in games at Gallagher-Iba Arena the Cowboys have won five in a row.

Prediction

Oklahoma 74, Oklahoma State 72

Money line (ML)

PASS: no lean either way on a fairly assessed contest.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

OU and OSU figure to be evenly matched in the back half of their Sooner State double. The Sooners are the slightest lean at a theoretical +2, but it’d be wise to LAY OFF the extra juice on the +1-1/2-point cushion.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Sooners and Cowboys did a 43-1/2-point fly-by on the Saturday O/U. That one was listed as a 140-1/2-point total. Oklahoma is a slow-paced team; Oklahoma State is a fast-paced one. In games against other fast Big-12 foes, OU has been dragged into four Overs in six games.

When Oklahoma State plays games on one-day rest, the Over is 3-0.

TAKE THE OVER 142.5 (-110). But consider waiting out a downward fluctuation to get a better number.

  • Against the spread/ATS: Oklahoma State +4.5 (-110) | Oklahoma -4.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 139.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma: Three things to know

  1. Oklahoma State has won three in a row and four of its last five games (3-2 ATS) including home wins over No. 17 Texas Tech (74-69 overtime win as 3.5-point underdogs Monday) and then-No. 6 Texas (75-67 overtime win as 2-point underdogs Feb. 6).
  2. The Sooners had their three-game winning streak snapped after losing at Kansas State 62-57 as 10.5-point road favorites Tuesday. However, Oklahoma has performed way better at home compared to on the road this season as the Sooners are 10-1 overall at home and 8-3 ATS.
  3. The Cowboys won and covered against the Sooners last season, 83-66, for the first time in four years. The favorites have four straight ATS wins in this series, and the home team is 7-1 ATS in the last eight Oklahoma State-Oklahoma meetings.

Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oklahoma 71, Oklahoma State 62

Money line (ML)

PASS because the Sooners are the pick here, but Oklahoma (-200) is too far out of my price range to bet a money line favorite in a conference matchup.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

There are a few reasons I like OKLAHOMA -4.5 (-110) in this spot.

First, the Sooners have performed better against tougher competition—covering eight of nine games against ranked teams compared to Oklahoma State’s 5-2 ATS record against ranked teams—and in conference showdowns—Oklahoma is 9-5 ATS in Big XII games while Oklahoma State is 8-6 ATS.

Second, Oklahoma does a good job stopping what Oklahoma State does a lot of, which is shooting inside the arc and getting to the foul line. Oklahoma State is 67th in free-throw rate whereas Oklahoma is sixth in defensive free-throw-rate.

Also, the Cowboys attempt the most 2-pointers in the Big XII while the Sooners are 22nd in the nation in opponent’s 2-point field goal percentage.

BET OKLAHOMA -4.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

Given that my prediction is Oklahoma wins and covers primarily because of defensive factors, I like UNDER 139.5 (-110) here. Furthermore, since the beginning of last season, Oklahoma is 9-17 O/U has a home team with a minus-6.4-point total margin and 12-19-1 O/U in conference games with a minus-3.5-point total margin.

TAKE UNDER 139.5 (-110) for a half-unit.

Oklahoma at West Virginia odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Oklahoma Sooners at West Virginia Mountaineers odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The No. 14 West Virginia Mountaineers (14-5, 7-3 Big 12) host the No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners (12-5, 7-4) Saturday at WVU Coliseum for a 1 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Oklahoma-West Virginia college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy of Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oklahoma at West Virginia: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 11:05 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Oklahoma +145 (bet $100 to win $145) | West Virginia -175 (bet $175 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Oklahoma +3.5 (-110) | West Virginia -3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 146.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oklahoma at West Virginia: Three things to know

  1. Oklahoma has been on a roll since losing back-to-back games to Kansas and Baylor in early January. The Sooners have won six of their last seven games and are 6-1 ATS in that window with their only loss coming against then-No. 11 Texas Tech by a 57-52 count as 7.5-point road underdogs. Over those seven games, Oklahoma is holding opponents to 38.9% field-goal shooting and a negative assist-to-turnover ratio.
  2. West Virginia is 5-1 in its last six games (4-2 ATS) with impressive wins over No. 8 Texas Tech, then-No. 22 Kansas and then-No. 23 Florida. The Mountaineers have been on fire from deep lately, connecting on 43.8% of 3-pointers over their last six games.
  3. The Sooners have beaten the Mountaineers in three straight and four of their last five head-to-head meetings, which includes a 75-71 win in early January.

Oklahoma at West Virginia: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Oklahoma 71, West Virginia 65

Money line (ML)

There’s a lot of talk about West Virginia being a different team since Oklahoma beat the Mountaineers back in January but I don’t have confidence West Virginia has done enough to its game plan to make this a good matchup.

The Mountaineers are the 46th-best 3-point shooting team and the Sooners have the 310th-ranked 3-point defense but West Virginia is 296th in 3-point rate. If the Mountaineers aren’t attempting a high volume of threes, then they are unlikely to beat an Oklahoma team that’s playing great right now.

I only lean OKLAHOMA (+145) because the Sooners plus the points is a much better wager.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

TAKE OKLAHOMA +3.5 (-110) for 1 unit. West Virginia likes to pound the ball inside and Oklahoma is 17th in opponent’s field-goal percentage on 2-point attempts.

A big reason for Oklahoma’s recent success against West Virginia is the Mountaineers’ second-leading scorer and leading rebounder, F Derek Culver, averages just 6.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in his career vs. Oklahoma.

The bottom line is the Sooners match up well against the Mountaineers and do a good job defending what West Virginia wants to do.

Over/Under (O/U)

Since I’m keying in on Oklahoma’s defense for my above handicaps, I lean UNDER 146.5 (-110) for a half-unit. According to Pregame.com, nearly 85% of the money is on the Under and I’d like to fade a market this lopsided when possible.

Oklahoma at Texas Tech odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Oklahoma Sooners at Texas Tech Red Raiders odds and lines, with college basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Oklahoma Sooners (11-4, 6-3 Big 12) visit the Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-5, 4-4) Monday for a 9 p.m. ET tip. Below, we analyze the Oklahoma-Texas Tech college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Red Raiders were No. 10 in last week’s Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. The new poll will be released Monday and should include the Sooners, who have beat three top-10 teams in a row.

Oklahoma at Texas Tech: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 6:35 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Oklahoma +240 (bet $100 to win $240) | Texas Tech -300 (bet $300 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Oklahoma +6.5 (-110) | Texas Tech -6.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 138.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oklahoma at Texas Tech: Three things to know

  1. Despite missing leading scorer Austin Reaves and fellow senior G Alondes Williams, Oklahoma upset No. 8 Alabama as a 3.5-point home underdog 66-61 Saturday. Reaves and Williams were unavailable due to COVID-19 protocols and will also be out for this Texas Tech tilt. Oklahoma trailed Alabama 60-59 with 3:24 to go before sophomore F Jalen Hill sank 4 free throws and junior G Elijah Harkless hit a jumper with 20 seconds left and a free throw with 13 seconds remaining to seal it.
  2. Texas Tech snapped a 2-game skid with a 76-71 comeback victory at LSU Saturday in their SEC/Big 12 challenge matchup. The Red Raiders trailed 71-64 with 1:14 remaining before scoring the final 12 points to pick up the win and cover as 3.5-point favorites. Junior G Mac McClung (22 points) hit back-to-back 3-pointers and sophomore G Terrence Shannon Jr. (23 points) hit a go-ahead layup at the 29-second mark and added 4 free throws in the final 16 seconds. McClung averages a team-best 17.5 PPG.
  3. Texas Tech won the season’s first meeting 69-67 in late December, handing Oklahoma its only home loss of the season. The Red Raiders led the entire second half but never by more than 7 points. The Sooners trailed by 2 points several times in the final 20 minutes with a chance to tie or win at the buzzer. The rivals split their two games the previous season with the home team prevailing each time.

Oklahoma at Texas Tech: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Texas Tech 72, Oklahoma 63

Money line (ML)

I have Texas Tech winning, but the -300 price is too chalky. PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

TEXAS TECH -6.5 (-110) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. All the hype is on Oklahoma. The Sooners own a 5-game win streak, including three in a row vs. top-10 teams: At home vs. then-No. 9 Kansas Jan. 23, at No. 5 Texas 80-79 Tuesday and Alabama Saturday.

The Sooners beat the Crimson Tide without Reaves but they were at home. Look for an Oklahoma letdown here despite being the much better ATS team this season.

ATS: Oklahoma 10-5 | Texas Tech 7-10

Over/Under (O/U)

Back the UNDER 138.5 (-110). The Under has cashed in the last five in this series. The Red Raiders are really good defensively. They allow only 62.2 PPG to rank 21st in the country, and they’re 13th in adjusted defensive efficiency, according to Kenpom.com.

Plus, the Sooners will be without Reaves’ team-best 15.8 PPG.

O/U records: Oklahoma 6-9 | Texas Tech 8-9

The No. 5 Texas Longhorns (11-2 overall, 5-1 Big 12) host the Oklahoma Sooners (9-4, 5-3) Tuesday for a 7 p.m. ET tip. Below, we analyze the Oklahoma-Texas college basketball odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

  • Money line: Oklahoma +165 (bet $100 to win $165) | Texas -200 (bet $200 to win $100)

  • Over/Under: 143.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oklahoma at Texas: Three things to know

  1. Texas head coach Shaka Smart announced on Twitter Monday that he tested positive for COVID-19, and will be in isolation from the team as it plays its first game in 10 days. The previous two games – at Iowa State last Wednesday and at TCU Saturday – were postponed because of COVID-19 issues within opponents’ programs. Texas’ last outing was an 82-67 home win vs. Kansas State Jan. 16. It failed to cover as a 16.5-point favorite but rebounded from its first Big 12 loss of the season (79-77 to then-No. 15 Texas Tech Jan. 13). Junior G Andrew Jones’ 14.4 PPG leads four Longhorns in double figures.
  2. Oklahoma upset then-No. 9 Kansas 75-68 Saturday for a third win a row. The Sooners, who were 1-point home underdogs, trailed 52-51 with 9:29 to go but outscored the Jayhawks 24-16 down the stretch. Senior G Austin Reaves tallied 11 of his 16 points in the final 5:59. Sophomore G De’Vion Harmon finished with a game-high 22 points, including 4 3-pointers, and the Sooners shot 18-for-22 from the free-throw line. Reaves leads OU in points (15.2 per game), rebounds (5.1 RPG) and assists (5.2 APG).
  3. The rivals split their two meetings last season with the road teams prevailing as underdogs. Texas won at Oklahoma 52-51 in March when now-senior G Matt Coleman III banked a 3-pointer off the glass with 0.04 seconds left after OU missed two free throws. The Sooners, behind a second-half 11-2 run, claimed a 72-62 road victory Jan. 8, 2020.

Oklahoma at Texas: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Texas 70, Oklahoma 67

Money line (ML)

AVOID. Texas will improve to 5-1 in its last six home games in the series, but the -200 price is too chalky.

Against the spread (ATS)

OKLAHOMA +4.5 (-110) is the worth backing, getting the nod because:

  • Texas will miss coach Smart.
  • Oklahoma is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games.
  • Texas will be a bit rusty after 9 days off.
  • Texas is 1-3 ATS in its last 4 games.

ATS: Oklahoma 8-5 | Texas 6-7

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 143.5 (-110) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. Oklahoma’s defense yields 64.7 PPG in conference games to rank second in the Big 12; Texas is fourth at 70.2 PPG.

The Sooners are also 2-8 vs. the O/U in their last 10 games. Saturday’s 75-68 victory over the Jayhawks snapped a 4-game Under streak.

The Longhorns enter on a 6-game Over run, but the Sooners’ defense will be the best they’ve faced to date. Plus, only four of the Longhorns’ last 10 games have reached 144 total combined points.

O/U records: Oklahoma 5-8 | Texas 8-5

Oklahoma at Kansas odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Oklahoma Sooners at Kansas Jayhawks sports betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

In Saturday’s action, the Oklahoma Sooners (6-3, 2-2 Big 12) face the No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks (9-2, 3-1) at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan. for a 4:30 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Oklahoma-Kansas college basketball betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy of Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oklahoma at Kansas: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 6:30 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Oklahoma +260 (bet $100 to win $260) | Kansas -350 (bet $350 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Oklahoma +7.5 (-120) | Kansas -7.5 (+100)
  • Over/Under: 144.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Oklahoma at Kansas: Three things to know

  1. Oklahoma opened the season with wins in five of the first six games straight up, but they have dropped two of the past three, including a 76-61 loss at Baylor last time out on Wednesday as 11.5-point underdogs. The Under has cashed in five of the past six for Oklahoma.
  2. Kansas bounced back after getting roughed up against Texas on Jan. 2, taking out their aggression on TCU in a 93-64 win on Jan. 5 as 6.5-point favorites. The Jayhawks have covered four of the past five after going 1-4 ATS in their first five games against the number.
  3. Kansas G Marcus Garrett, who is averaging 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game, is a question mark due to a head injury. He leads the team in assists and steals.

Oklahoma at Kansas: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Kansas 81, Oklahoma 70

Money line (ML)

Kansas (-350) is expected to roll at home against Oklahoma (+260), but tossing up three and a half times your potential return is not a good long-term strategy. The only way you can justify risking that kind of scratch is tossing KU into a multi-team parlay. Even then, it’s a questionable play. AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

KANSAS -7.5 (+100) is a strong play at even money, whether Garrett is able to go or not. They have covered four of the past five games overall, while Oklahoma +7.5 (-120) is coming off a 15-point loss at Baylor, and they’re 3-5 ATS across its past eight overall. The Sooners have struggled on the road, too, covering just two of their past seven away from home.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 144.5 (-110) is a good play, cashing in nine of the past 13 at Allen Fieldhouse for the Jayhawks. The Over is also 20-5-1 in their past 26 at home against teams with a losing road record. While the Under has hit in five of the past six for Oklahoma overall, the Over is 5-1-1 in their past seven on the road.
