The Michigan Wolverines (8-2) and Oklahoma Sooners (10-0) meet Wednesday in the Jumpman Invitational. Tip-off from Spectrum Center in Charlotte will be at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Michigan vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Michigan, which is No. 21 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, hits the hardwood for the first time in more than a week. UM’s last contest was Dec. 10 when the favored-by-4 Wolverines suffered an 89-87 setback vs. Arkansas. The loss snapped a 7-game win streak.

No. 15 Oklahoma last played Saturday, covering as a 4-point favorite in an 80-65 victory over Oklahoma State. The unbeaten Sooners have played just 1 Quad I game (82-77 win over Arizona Nov. 28); KenPom tabs the OU schedule strength at No. 315.

Michigan vs. Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Michigan 77, Oklahoma 71

Moneyline

No interest. PASS.

Against the spread

On Wednesday morning the ML for this game moved 15 cents in Michigan’s direction, but the spread offering barely moved at all. And that’s the value side here.

Peg Oklahoma as getting too much attention due to the number next to its name. KenPom and BartTorvik figure the Sooners as being outside the top 35 with their schedule dictating perhaps more than the talent on the floor.

Michigan is the more road- and battle-tested squad. Look for UM’s up-tempo style to cause problems for an OU five that has played a lot of slow foes thus far.

TAKE MICHIGAN -3.5 (-115).

Over/Under

The Under is 3-1 across Oklahoma’s last 4 games.

With the neutral venue, peg the UNDER 148.5 (-105) as being worth some partial-unit action.

Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 17 Oklahoma Sooners (9-0) battle the Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-2) at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City Saturday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET (ESPNU). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Oklahoma is No. 17 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The Sooners, who won the Battle 4 Atlantis earlier this season, beat the Alcorn State Braves 94-78 Dec. 7, closing as 31-point home favorites. They have yet to lose, but haven’t necessarily covered that consistently, at just 5-4 against the spread (ATS) on the season.

The Cowboys are coming off an 85-76 road win to Seton Hall Sunday, closing as 1.5-point favorites. They have won 2 straight games, both on the road. Oklahoma State lost 2 of 3 in the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic, its early-season tournament. It is 1-2 ATS on a neutral court and 3-5ATS on the season.

Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 81, Oklahoma State 75

Moneyline

PASS.

Oklahoma should come out on top and has proven itself this season, but it is too expensive to play here. The Cowboys aren’t worth the risk as plus-money underdogs, either.

Against the spread

BET OKLAHOMA -4.5 (-105).

The Sooners have had 3 games close within a single-digit spread, and they are 2-1 ATS in those and 3-0 straight up. Oklahoma is also 2-1 ATS in a neutral-court atmosphere and 3-1 ATS in its last 4.

The Cowboys have lost 2 of their last 5. They are 1-2 ATS on a neutral-court environment and 1-2 ATS as underdogs. Back OKLAHOMA -4.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BET OVER 153.5 (-105).

The Cowboys are 5-3 O/U on the season and 4-2 O/U in their last 6, scoring at least 76 points in every game this season. They have allowed at least 86 in 2 of 3 games as underdogs.

The Sooners are 5-4 O/U and have scored at least 79 points in 2 of their 3 neutral-court battles. Oklahoma is 2-1 O/U in those games and 3-2 O/U in its last 5. Take OVER 153.5 (-105).

Georgia Tech at Oklahoma odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Georgia Tech at Oklahoma odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 21 Oklahoma Sooners (7-0) welcome the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (4-3) to the Lloyd Noble Center Tuesday for one of many games in the SEC/ACC Men’s Challenge. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Georgia Tech vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Oklahoma is No. 21 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The Sooners beat the Louisville Cardinals on a neutral court 69-64 Friday to win the Battle 4 Atlantis. They covered as 3-point underdogs. Oklahoma has covered in 2 straight wins and is 4-3 against the spread (ATS) on the season. It is just 2-3 ATS as a favorite.

The Yellow Jackets beat the Central Arkansas Bears 87-68 Saturday, closing as 22.5-point favorites. They have rattled off 2 straight wins, going 1-1 ATS. Georgia Tech is 0-2 ATS vs. Power 4 opponents, with an 8-point loss to Georgia and a 23-point loss to Cincinnati. It is 2-5 ATS on the season.

Georgia Tech at Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 78, Georgia Tech 70

Moneyline

PASS.

On the road against an undefeated Oklahoma side, Georgia Tech isn’t worth a play as a sizable underdog. Similarly, the Sooners are too expensive to take.

Against the spread

BET GEORGIA TECH +11.5 (-105).

The Sooners haven’t covered well as slight favorites. They are 0-1 ATS as favorites of 1-10 and have yet to win a game by more than double digits as either slight favorites or underdogs.

The Yellow Jackets have been underdogs of between 10 and 20 three times, going 2-1 ATS. Their top 3 weapons all shoot at least 47% from the field, so they bring some offensive efficiency with them.

Considering those trends, back GEORGIA TECH +11.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 149.5 (-115).

Oklahoma and Georgia Tech are both 3-4 O/U this season.

Against Georgia and Cincinnati, its lone Power 4 foes, Georgia Tech averaged 63.5 points per game.

The Sooners are coming off a win in which they scored 69 points. They’ve topped 80 just once against a Power 4 opponent. Their defense has allowed 77 or fewer in every game this season and given up 64 or fewer in 5 of 7.

Take UNDER 149.5 (-115).

Oklahoma at LSU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma at LSU odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Oklahoma Sooners (6-5, 2-5 SEC) visit the LSU Tigers (7-4, 4-3 SEC) Saturday. Kickoff from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oklahoma vs. LSU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Neither prestigious program is ranked in the Coaches Poll (US LBM Coaches Poll), but both look to improve their prospects for a late-December bowl game.

The visiting Sooners ride into this game high after a 24-3 win over Alabama Nov. 23 that all but erased the perennial College Football Playoff invitee’s chances to reach the postseason. Oklahoma leaned on the ground game (QB Jackson Arnold‘s 131 rushing yards, Xavier Robinson‘s 2 TDs) and a pick-6.

Meanwhile, LSU stopped a 3-game losing streak — ranked Texas A&M, ranked Alabama, and Florida — with a 24-17 win over Vanderbilt Nov. 23. Tigers QB Garrett Nussmeier racked up 332 passing yards during the victory.

Oklahoma at LSU picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 27, Oklahoma 20

Moneyline

The home favorite’s ML doesn’t carry much ROI with its over-200 juice, especially for a game with barely a 1-touchdown spread.

Unless it’s part of a parlay, bettors shouldn’t prioritize the Tigers’ moneyline.

PASS.

Against the spread

My favorite bet in this trio is the home squad ATS.

Bettors should look to the key number of 6 (or 5.5) for their target team. If you can still get it at 6, you can at least secure a push if the hosts win by a touchdown in overtime.

If it dips to 5.5 (-110) or lower, attack.

BET LSU -6 (110), or you can grab LSU -5.5 (-113) at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Over/Under

Both teams rank in the middle tiers of offensive points per game (LSU 28.6, Oklahoma 25).

While LSU’s defense boasts more elite talent, the Sooners should do enough to contribute to eclipsing the total.

BET OVER 46.5 (-115).

Battle 4 Atlantis Championship: Louisville vs. Oklahoma odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Louisville vs. Oklahoma odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Oklahoma Sooners (6-0) face the Louisville Cardinals (5-1) in the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship Game Friday from Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Louisville vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Sooners opened the tournament with a 79-77 win over the Providence Friars, closing as a 3-point underdog. In the semifinal Thursday, they beat the No. 23 Arizona Wildcats 82-77 Thursday, covering as a 7.5-point underdog. Oklahoma has scored at least 79 points in 4 straight games and is 3-3 against the spread (ATS).

The Cardinals beat the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers 89-61 in the quarterfinal, covering as a 4-point underdog, and beat the West Virginia Mountaineers 79-70 in OT in Thursday’s semifinal, closing as a 2-point favorite. Louisville has won 4 straight with its lone loss against the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers on Nov. 9. It is 4-2 ATS through 6 games.

Louisville vs. Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 74, Louisville 70

Moneyline

BET OKLAHOMA (+145).

The Sooners have been the more consistent side this season and are worthy of a play to come out on top. They shot 41% from deep against Arizona and are averaging 80.5 points per game in the tournament. They are 1-0 straight up and ATS as an underdog this season.

Louisville is 1-1 ATS as a favorite of 5 points or less. It was saved against West Virginia because it was able to get to the line, having 21 more free throws. The Cardinals won despite shooting 25% from deep.

Back the side shooting better coming into the championship and play OKLAHOMA (+145).

Against the spread

PASS.

There’s no great reason to take the spread over the moneyline for the Sooners here. The games have been close, for the most part, but the value is better for the underdog to win outright.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 150.5 (-110).

While the Sooners have been consistent in their scoring, the Cardinals have a stout defense, allowing more than 70 points just once this season, and that was to top-10 Tennessee. They are 1-5 O/U on the season.

Oklahoma has allowed 64 or fewer points in 4 of its 6 games, so it should be able to defend at a high level as well. Back UNDER 150.5 (-110).

Oklahoma vs. Arizona odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Oklahoma vs. Arizona odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oklahoma Sooners (5-0) and the No. 23 Arizona Wildcats (3-2) meet Thursday at the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET (ESPN) at Imperial Arena. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Oklahoma vs. Arizona odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Sooners picked up a 79-77 win in the tourney opener against Providence Wednesday, but Oklahoma just missed covering as a 3-point favorite while the Over (137) cashed. Oklahoma had won its first 4 games by 16 or more points, all against mid-major teams or lower conference members.

The Wildcats rebounded from back-to-back losses at Wisconsin (Nov. 15) and at home to Duke (Friday), pounding Davidson 104-71 as a 16-point favorite Wednesday while the Over (152) connected. Both Arizona and Oklahoma have alternated the Over and Under through 5 games.

Oklahoma vs. Arizona picks and predictions

Prediction

Arizona 83, Oklahoma 76

Moneyline

Backing Arizona (-250) is a little too costly straight up. You must risk 2½ times your potential return, and that’s just a little too much for a standalone bet. While the Wildcats were impressive, taking out their day on Davidson after losses to Duke and Wisconsin, unbeaten Oklahoma (+190) should present a much bigger challenge.

PASS.

Against the spread

Play ARIZONA -6.5 (-110), but be ready to sweat it out until the end.

Oklahoma +6.5 (-110) has been impressive at times, and it passed its first big test of the season against Providence from the Big East. This is a huge measuring-stick game, and it will be interesting to see how the Sooners stack up. Either way, this will be a good test for the Sooners as they ramp up for SEC play for the first time.

Over/Under

OVER 155.5 (-105) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.

The Over cashed for Arizona in the opener of this tourney, as it hit triple digits against Davidson. The total has gone high in 2 of 3 games against power conference teams to date.

For Oklahoma, the total hit high in the Providence game, while cashing in 3 of 5 outings to date. This offense can fill up the basket, going for 84 or more points on 4 occasions so far.

Alabama at Oklahoma odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Alabama at Oklahoma odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-2, 4-2 SEC) and Oklahoma Sooners (5-5, 1-5) meet Saturday. Kickoff from Memorial Stadium in Norman is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Alabama vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Before the season, this game was circled as a potential marquee game. Alabama has 2 losses in the state of Tennessee, falling to the Vols and Vanderbilt Commodores. Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s first season in the SEC has it on the brink of not even becoming bowl eligible.

Alabama pasted FCS Mercer last week in the SEC’s annual November cupcake game, 52-7. Alabama has won and covered 3 in a row, with wins against LSU and Mizzou, too. The Under is 3-0 in the past 3 games against FBS opponents, too.

For Oklahoma, it was topped 30-23 by former Big 12 rival Mizzou last time out in Columbia, 30-23. It failed to cover as 3.5-point favorites in a wild seesaw affair. The Sooners have dropped 4 in a row against FBS opponents, while going 1-3 ATS in the span. The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 games, too, with the Sooners allowing 26 or more points in 4 straight games against the FBS.

Alabama at Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 38, Oklahoma 18

Moneyline

Alabama (-600) will cost you 6 times your potential return, which is way too much risk for enough reward. There is never a reason to bet such heavy favorites, and over the long term it is a terrible betting strategy.

PASS.

Against the spread

Play ALABAMA -13.5 (-115), even though this is a big number. However, the Crimson Tide have a dynamic player in QB Jalen Milroe, and Alabama still has a good chance at a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Oklahoma +13.5 (-105), on the other hand, is simply struggling to attain bowl eligibility. It needs a win over either the Crimson Tide or Auburn Tigers, and that looks unlikely at this point.

Over/Under

OVER 46.5 (-110) might be the best play at this point.

Alabama has scored 34 or more points in each of the past 3 outings, and 8 of 10 games overall. Honestly, there is a good chance the Crimson Tide could take care of this Over all on its own, with very little assistance from the Sooners.

The worry is Alabama getting off to a slow start, and Oklahoma struggling against the Tide D. Alabama has allowed just 20 total points in the past 3 games, including a shutout win over Mizzou.

Oklahoma at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Oklahoma Sooners (4-3, 1-3 SEC) and 18th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels (5-2, 1-2) meet Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oklahoma vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oklahoma has had a tough introduction to SEC play. The Sooners dropped their 2nd straight game, and 3rd in the past 4 outings, getting blown out 35-9 against South Carolina of all teams last weekend in Norman. The Oklahoma offense has cobbled together just 12 points in the past 2 losses to USC and Texas.

After the South Carolina loss, the Sooners fired offensive coordinator Seth Littrell after just 7 games as the play caller. Joe Jon Finley, who was the team’s co-OC, will call plays the rest of the way, while offensive analyst Kevin Johns was promoted to QB coach.

Ole Miss suffered a disappointing 29-26 OT loss at LSU last weekend, its 2nd loss in the past 3 outings, albeit both by exactly 3 points. Oddly enough, the Rebels did pound South Carolina in between those 2 setbacks, winning 27-3, covering as 10.5-point favorites.

The Under has cashed in 6 in a row for Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss side, as the defense has allowed 289.4 total yards per game to rank 13th and just rushing 66.6 rushing yards per game to lead the nation. It is also 2nd in the country with 10.6 points per game allowed.

Ole Miss (-1400) will cost you 14 times your potential return if you were to back the Rebels in their 1st-ever game against Oklahoma (+825) in the Grove. That’s way too much risk for a standalone wager, or as part of a multi-leg parlay. Including the Rebels sucks all of the value out of your ticket.

AVOID.

Against the spread

Backing OKLAHOMA +20.5 (-110) is risky business, as the Sooners have just been awful lately. However, the Rebels have been in some tight games, too, and the changes to the Sooners’ offensive coaching hierarchy should have a positive impact on them.

Ole Miss -20.5 (-110) is a powerhouse offensively, led by QB Jaxson Dart, but lately, it has scored 27 or fewer points in 3 in a row, as something has just been a little off.

Over/Under

UNDER 49.5 (-115) is the play in this SEC battle.

The trends for Ole Miss are driving this Under train, as the total has gone low in 6 straight outings. The Rebels defense is nasty, and that’s not what the Sooners need right now with the offense looking to get untracked.

The Under has a slight 4-3 edge for the Sooners this season, although the Over did cash in their only previous true road game at Auburn, so be careful.

The top-ranked Texas Longhorns (5-0, 1-0 SEC) meet the 16th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (4-1, 1-1) Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Kickoff in the SEC game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Texas vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Longhorns and Sooners meet in the Red River Rivalry game in Dallas for the 1st time as members of the SEC. Texas leads the all-time series 63-51-5, with Oklahoma winning last season’s meeting 34-30 as a 4-point underdog as the Over (61.5) cashed.

Oklahoma has won 5 of the past 6 meetings, and 7 of the previous 9 outings, while the Over is 3-1 in the past 4. The Sooners are 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in the previous 4 contests in the series, too.

Texas is coming off a sluggish 35-13 win over Mississippi State as a 37-point favorite last time out on Sept. 28, it’s 1st non-cover in 5 tries. The Under (59) cashed, halting a 3-0 run to the Over. The Longhorns are coming off a bye and have named QB Quinn Ewers the starter for Saturday over QB Arch Manning.

Oklahoma bounced back from a 25-15 loss in the conference opener to Tennessee, winning 27-21 at Auburn in Week 5. It is also coming off a bye. The Over is 2-1 in the past 3 games, and the Sooners are 1-1 ATS this season as underdogs.

Texas vs. Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas 31, Oklahoma 20

Moneyline

We’ve seen a lot of wacky stuff happen in the past couple of weekends, including 5 top-10 teams go down to defeat last week in a crazy turn of events. Anything can happen in a rivalry game, but Texas (-650) should be able to get the job done against its archnemesis Oklahoma (+450).

Still, laying 6½ times your potential return is not a recommended play, and over the long term, bets like that are not a good strategy.

PASS.

Against the spread

OKLAHOMA +14.5 (-110) has the tools to not only keep this one within 2 TDs, but it isn’t inconceivable that the Sooners could trip up the top-ranked Texas -14.5 (-110) side. We’ve seen it frequently in this rivalry in recent seasons. The underdog is not only 6-4 ATS in the past 10 meetings since  2015, including 6-3 ATS in the past 9 Red River Rivalry games, but the underdog has won outright in 3 of the past 9 clashes at the Cotton Bowl.

A double-digit underdog is a perfect 3-0 ATS since 2015 in this series, too.

Over/Under

OVER 48.5 (-110) is worth a look, but don’t get carried away.

The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 installments, and the winning side has needed at least 34 points in each of the past 7 in the series. The winning side has needed at least 49 points in 3 of the past 4 in the series, with the losing team producing 45 points in 2 of the previous 4. The losing team actually has 27 or more points in 6 of the past 7, too.

Oklahoma at Auburn odds, picks and predictions

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The 18th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (3-1, 0-1 SEC) and the Auburn Tigers (2-2, 0-1) meet Saturday in an SEC game at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oklahoma vs. Auburn odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oklahoma hits the road for the Plains, looking for its 1st SEC victory. It lost 25-15 in a showdown in Norman against 6th-ranked Tennessee last weekend, failing to cover as a 5.5-point underdog as the Under (57) cashed.

The loss to the Vols halted a 3-game win streak to start the season. The Sooners are just 1-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past 3 games, while the Under has cashed in 3 of 4 outings. True freshman QB Michael Hawkins Jr. will get his 1st career start Saturday, replacing QB Jackson Arnold (0 TD, 1 INT vs. Tennessee).

Auburn has alternated wins and losses, as well as covers and non-covers. It suffered a 24-14 loss to Arkansas last time out as a 2.5-point favorite as the Under (52) cashed. The Over and Under have also alternated in 4 games to date. The Tigers are 0-2 straight up/ATS in 2 games against Power 4 opponents, cashing low in both outings.

Oklahoma at Auburn picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 23, Auburn 18

Moneyline

OKLAHOMA (+100) is a strong play at even-money in this road battle as they look to bounce back from the setback to Tennessee.

Auburn (-120) has already dropped 2 games against unranked Arkansas and California. The Sooners are a tremendous value against a toothless Tigers offense which will struggle against the OU defense.

Against the spread

Backing Oklahoma +1.5 (-115) doesn’t make much sense if you like the Sooners, unless, of course, you feel as if Auburn -1.5 (-105) will win by just a single point. That’s the only advantage of taking such a small amount of points instead of the underdog straight up.

AVOID.

Over/Under

UNDER 44.5 (-110) is a rather low number for this day and age, but based on the play of each team in conference so far, that’s the lean. Go with a half-unit play at most, however.

The Under has cashed in 3 of 4 games for Oklahoma, going for 16 or fewer points in 2 of the previous 3 outings. Defensively, the Sooners have allowed just 11.3 PPG in 3 meetings against non-ranked foes this season.

Auburn is averaging just 14.0 PPG in 2 games against Power 4 opponents, while allowing just 22.5 PPG. Look for another lower-scoring game Saturday.
