2023 Sanderson Farms Championship odds, course history and picks to win

Beau Hossler has found his game over his last six starts.

Although many fans are still suffering from a Ryder Cup hangover, the PGA Tour returns to action this week in Jackson, Mississippi, for the Sanderson Farms Championship at The Country Club of Jackson.

The field is, well, let’s say not the strongest, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to win a little cash over the weekend.

European Ryder Cupper Ludvig Aberg will be teeing it up come Thursday, as will Emiliano Grillo, Keith Mitchell, Beau Hossler and Davis Riley.

One of the betting favorites is Eric Cole, who finished solo fourth in his last start at the Fortinet Championship in Napa.

One Jaguars player you should bet to score a TD in Week 4

Which Jaguars player has the best chance at scoring a touchdown against the Falcons?

The Jacksonville Jaguars offense couldn’t find a rhythm in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs and struggled again in Week 3 against the Houston Texans. Still, Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk and running back Tank Bigsby both found the end zone last Sunday.

Now the Jaguars will look to build on that Sunday when they have a “home” game against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium.

One of the most popular ways to bet on an NFL game is the anytime touchdown scorer prop. You bet on one player to score a touchdown, and if they do, you make money.

Sounds simple, right?

It’s not as easy as it seems, but it is rewarding when the player you bet does find the end zone – especially if he plays for your team

Calvin Ridley anytime TD scorer: +140

Jaguars coach Doug Pederson thinks Ridley is trying to prove too much and needs to just relax. Ridley thinks he just had a bad game and he’s still locked in.

Whatever the answer is, Ridley hasn’t been productive in the Jaguars’ last 10 quarters and he’s bogging down the Jacksonville offense.

Still, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has targeted Ridley a team-high 26 times. With Zay Jones out with a knee injury and Jamal Agnew nursing a quad problem, there’s no reason to think Ridley’s going to take on a lesser role Sunday.

Ridley will undoubtedly get opportunities to score against his former team Sunday and it’ll be up to A.J. Terrell — a cornerback who gave up an NFL-most nine touchdowns in 2022 — to stop him.

Staff picks for the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone in Rome

Here’s how the Golfweek staff sees it unfolding at Marco Simone.

The 2023 Ryder Cup is set to get underway Friday morning at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome — the first match will go off at 1:35 a.m. ET — and both teams are in full preparation mode.

The Zach Johnson-led Americans are looking to win on foreign soil for the first time in 30 years while the Luke Donald-led Europeans are hoping to put up a bigger fight than they did at Whistling Straits two years ago when the blue and yellow got thumped, 19-9.

For one of the biggest events in golf, the staff at Golfweek has decided to make predictions on who will be hoisting the Cup come Sunday afternoon.

Odds and picks for the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome

Can Max Homa be Team USA’s top rookie? We like his odds.

The 44th edition of the Ryder Cup gets underway Friday morning, but the players are already hard at work with their preparation.

The biennial bash between the United States and Europe is sure to look a lot different this time around compared to the 19-9 beatdown we witnessed just two years ago at Whistling Straits.

Gone is the old European guard of Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, and in comes a flurry of young talent, including Ludvig Aberg, who won the European Masters earlier this month.

Captain Luke Donald is hoping seven-time veteran Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland can lead the way on home soil, while U.S. captain Zach Johnson is relying on world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele and a slew of American stars to win Team USA’s first Cup in Europe since 1993.

Saints shift from underdogs to favorites against Packers as inactives get announced

Saints shift from underdogs to favorites against Packers as inactives get announced

The New Orleans Saints entered the week of their game against the Green Bay Packers as underdogs, but as the inactive lists were announced the line shifted in their favor. After opening as 2-point underdogs to the Packers, the Saints are now 1-point road favorites on BetMGM.

The Packer are without a number of key players as starters David Bakhiari, Jaire Alexander, Elgton Jenkins, Christian Watson and Aaron Jones are all out. It’s clear why the line would shift as that is a lot of star power to miss, especially coming off of a loss.

The Saints aren’t a picture of health either, as they are missing some players as well. Jamaal Williams was placed on injured reserve while Foster Moreau and Paulson Adebo are out with injuries. The Saints do get a big boost with rookie running back Kendre Miller getting his first game action of the regular season.

Everything to know heading into Saints’ Week 3 game vs. Packers

Everything to know heading into Saints’ Week 3 game vs. Packers: Broadcast information, injury report, betting odds, and more

The New Orleans Saints are searching for a 3-0 start to the season as they prepare for their matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Here’s everything you need to know heading into Week 3 including broadcast info, referee assignment, series history, and the latest injury report, among other key notes. Get up to speed before kickoff:

NFL Week 3 best bets: One wager to make for every team

NFL Week 3 best bets: One wager to make for every team (including the #Bills):

Two weeks into the 2023 season, there have been a few surprises – including the Bengals, Vikings and Chargers all being 0-2, and three of the four NFC South teams sitting nicely at 2-0.

From a betting perspective, things typically get easier as the season progresses because teams begin to skew toward being either contenders or pretenders. But as we all know, betting is never easy.

Heading into Week 3, we’ve got one wager you should make on each team, from the Giants and 49ers on Thursday night to Rams-Bengals in the second game of a Monday night doubleheader.

All odds are courtesy of BetMGM unless otherwise noted:

Oddsmakers: Bills a strong road favorite vs. Commanders

#Bills are the favorite vs. the #Commanders:

The Buffalo Bills’ journey through the 2023 season continues with another game which sees the team as a favorite.

For the third-straight game, Buffalo is the favorite heading into it according to BetMGM. The Bills have opened as a 6.5-point favorite, just under a touchdown, against the Washington Commanders.

So far in 2023, the Bills are an even split against the spread just like their 1-1 record.

Meanwhile, the 2-0 Commanders are also split.

While Washington did beat the Arizona Cardinals in their season opener, the Commanders did not cover their -7 spread. It was a 20-16 final. Last week as an underage vs. the Denver Broncos, Washington won outright, 35-33.

Still early in the 2023 season, it’s worth noting that the Bills were only 8-10 against the spread in all games last season.

The over/under for the contest is set at 43.5. The moneyline sits at Bills (-300) and Commanders (+230).

ESPN FPI updates Notre Dame’s odds to beat Ohio State, make playoff

Interesting stuff about Notre Dame’s remaining schedule here…

Notre Dame is 4-0 and ready for one of its biggest home games in years as the always loaded Ohio State Buckeyes come to South Bend for the first time since 1996.

Is Notre Dame closing the gap? Are the Irish a legitimate national championship contender or have they simply beat up on mediocre opponents?

We’ll know a lot more about the 2023 Fighting Irish and what their ceiling really is in just a few days.

ESPN has its football power index it uses to project what is to come each college football season and update it after each week of games.  Here is what FPI says about Notre Dame’s chances for their eight remaining regular season games and their chances of making the College Football Playoff and national championship.

Here is their latest projections regarding the Irish:

Saints favored to beat the Panthers in a low-scoring Week 2 bout

Saints favored to beat the Panthers in a low-scoring Week 2 bout | @DillySanders

The New Orleans Saints are favored to beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 2, but not by much. The oddsmakers at BetMGM have the Saints favored by 3 points, with an over/under set at just 39 — one of the lower points totals of Week 2. That implies a final score of New Orleans 21, Carolina 17.

At the time of publishing the spread was set at -165; that means a $100 wager on a New Orleans win would return $160.61.

It makes sense to not expect a ton of points in this game with the defenses being the highlight of both teams. Rookie quarterback Bryce Young will make his home debut with the Saints coming off of just a 16-point performance in their season opening win.

We’ll see what bettors are thinking and track changes in the line throughout the week. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 18.
