Four 2024 commits pledge to play in All-American Bowl

Several of Auburn’s talented 2024 commits will get the chance to showcase their talents in front of a national audience this January.

Early signing day is approaching, and several of Auburn’s top commitments for the 2024 class have pledged to participate in an All-Star game this upcoming January.

The All-American Bowl, which is set to take place on Saturday, January 6 in San Antonio, Texas, has invited four of Auburn’s highest-rated 2024 commitments to play. It will be the first chance to see four-star quarterback [autotag]Walker White[/autotag], four-star offensive lineman [autotag]DeAndre Carter[/autotag], four-star linebacker [autotag]Demarcus Riddick[/autotag], and four-star safety [autotag]Kensley Faustin[/autotag] on the same field.

White, Carter, and Riddick are all in the top 15 of their respective positions while Faustin ranks as high as No. 35 among safeties in the 2024 cycle.

There is a possibility that this list could expand, as Auburn targets [autotag]KJ Bolden[/autotag], [autotag]Ny Carr[/autotag], and [autotag]Zaquan Patterson[/autotag] are also set to play in the game.

The game, which will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, will kick off at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 6. The game can be seen live on NBC.

Auburn WR target Ny Carr announces commitment to ACC program

Atleast he won’t be playing for Georgia.

Auburn was one of the schools recruiting four-star wide receiver [autotag]Ny Carr[/autotag] the hardest but the Tigers were unable to land the former Georgia Bulldog commit.

Carr will instead be taking his talents to Miami to play for Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes he announced Sunday on social media.

He is the No. 53 overall player and No. 11 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite ranking. He is also the No. 9 player from Georgia.

The Moultrie, Georgia native committed to the Bulldogs back in July 2022 but Auburn never stopped recruiting him and he took multiple visits to the Plains before decommitting on Sept. 24. He returned to Auburn on Sept. 30 to watch Auburn play Georgia and it looked like they were in a great place to land him.

That didn’t happen as the 5-foot-11, 168-pounder then made a visit to Miami this past weekend and committed to them over Auburn and others.

While Auburn certainly wanted to land Carr, they have already built an impressive wide receiver class that includes five-star [autotag]Perry Thompson[/autotag] and four-star prospects [autotag]Bryce Cain[/autotag] and [autotag]Malcolm Simmons[/autotag].

Auburn battling Miami for the signature of four-star wide receiver Ny Carr

Since de-committing from Georgia, four-star WR Ny Carr has been a top target for Auburn. How much of a chance does Auburn have at signing him?

Since his de-commitment from Georgia, four-star wide receiver [autotag]Ny Carr[/autotag] has been high on [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag]’s radar.

Auburn felt great about their chances at landing his signature. He was one of many talented names that flocked to campus for Big Cat Weekend in July and paid a visit to campus for Auburn’s game against No. 1 Georgia last weekend. He tells Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports that the Tigers are heading in a positive direction.

“Wasn’t a bad game for them going up against the reigning champions,” Carr said. “They lost by a touchdown and extra point. That’s good for them. It was a great game. Tough match up for them when all the pieces are not filled.”

How much of a chance does Auburn have at landing Carr? According to projections from 247Sports and On3, Auburn has plenty of ground to make up if they plan to beat out Georgia and Miami for his signature.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine forecasts Miami with the best chance to earn Carr’s commitment at 90.9%. Next is Georgia, followed by Auburn, with programs having less than 5% odds.

Wiltfong is the lone 247Sports expert to drop a crystal ball prediction, giving it to Miami. He revealed the projection on Wednesday with a confidence level of 6.

Carr is a four-star rated wide receiver from Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. He is the No. 9 player from the state of Georgia for the 2024 class and is the No. 11 wide receiver according to 247Sports.

Four-star Georgia-based recruit has UF visit ‘in the works’

A four-star wide receiver formerly committed to Georgia is planning to visit the UF campus

A former Georgia Bulldog commit is pondering his options now as he looks for a new place to start his collegiate football career.

Four-star wide receiver [autotag]Ny Carr[/autotag] told reporters on On3 that he’s making plans to visit multiple schools across the nation, but an official visit to the University of Florida is apparently “in the works.”

Carr last visited UF during Billy Napier’s football camp this past June to participate in 7-on-7 drills, catching Florida coaches’ attention with stellar performances.

The Moultrie, Georgia, native and the Gators coaching staff had extensive talks afterward, and, according to On3, the recruit likes the sound of how Florida would utilize his talents.

“Offensively, they create matchups for you, get you in space so there is nothing but space and opportunity,” Carr said. “Really, how they use the receivers and finding them. Letting them go win and attack one-on-one. Really just how they use their receivers.”

Carr is a 5-foot-11-inch wide receiver attending Colquitt County High School. Set to graduate in 2024, the prospect is No. 126 overall according to 247Sports and is ranked No. 24 among receivers.

Key Auburn WR target Ny Carr decommits from Georgia

Can Hugh Freeze and Co. pull off another flip?

One of Auburn’s top targets is back on the open market.

Four-star wide receiver [autotag]Ny Carr[/autotag] had been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since July 2022 but on Sunday he announced he was decommitting from the Bulldogs. This could be good news for Auburn as they have kept recruiting him and he visited for Big Cat Weekend in July.

Carr is the No. 53 overall player and No. 11 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite ranking. The Moultrie product is also the No. 9 player from Georgia.

He would be another great addition to what is a loaded class at wide receiver, potentially joining five-star [autotag]Perry Thompson[/autotag] and four-stars [autotag]Bryce Cain[/autotag] and [autotag]Malcolm Simmons[/autotag]. With Auburn’s wide receivers struggling to make an impact to start the season, wide receivers coach [autotag]Marcus Davis[/autotag] is looking to bring in a big class.

Auburn isn’t the only school that is making a push for Carr, Florida State and Miami are both looking to lure him out of the Peach State.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder has had a strong start to his senior season, catching 30 passes for 489 yards and nine touchdowns in four games for Colquitt County.

Carr was one of Georgia’s first commitments in the class of 2024. Carr’s decommitment means that Georgia only has two commitments at the wide receiver position in the class of 2024, so Georgia will likely look to add another talented wide receiver recruit.

Ny Carr is ranked as the No. 53 recruit in his class and the ninth-ranked prospect in Georgia. The four-star receiver is ranked as the No. 11 player at his position.

The 6-foot, 170-pound receiver plays high school football for Colquitt County in Moultrie, Georgia. Ny Carr has taken recent visits to Auburn and Florida State.

This 4-star Georgia WR commit planning on official visit to Florida in fall

Can the Gators flip this blue-chip WR Georgia commit? We’ll have to wait until the season to find out.

Billy Napier and Co. have been on a tear recently when it comes to luring some of the top prep prospects in the country to Gainesville, but the tireless work on the recruiting front never ends. Likewise, Florida’s focus has not been just on the remaining uncommitted recruits but also on flipping top players from its rival schools as well.

The latest on the flip docket is four-star wide receiver [autotag]Ty Carr[/autotag] out of Moultrie (Georgia) Colquitt County, who has already pledged his talents to the Georgia Bulldogs. However, the Gators as well as the Tennessee Volunteers have piqued his attention enough to keep the dialog open between the player and the program.

As such, Carr is delaying his final decision until the fall which should give him an opportunity to do his due diligence on all of his available options.

“In season,” he told Swamp247’s Blake Alderman in regards to when he plans on making an OV To Gainesville. “I am going to take my official visit here during the season.”

However, his intrigue in the Orange and Blue appears to be lukewarm at best.

“Kind of,” Carr told Alderman when asked about his interest in the Gators. “It’s the receiver play. The receivers can get in the game and be themselves. I like that. I like being myself in a good offense that throws the ball to their receivers.”

Carr is ranked No. 55 overall and No. 11 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 64 and 12, respectively.
