A Notre Dame priority target will be on the other sideline this weekend

We’ll this isn’t ideal but at least he gets to see the Irish too

Notre Dame football hosted Mississippi safety [autotag]Bralan Womack[/autotag] over the summer and offered him a scholarship.

When that happened, it looked like the Irish were in the driver seat of his recruitment, but that might not be the case anymore. The 5-foot, 11-inch and 185-pound star has since been to multiple other campuses and this weekend he will see Notre Dame, but from Texas A&M’s sidelines.

The nation’s No. 24 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings does have the Irish among his top schools, but they have seemingly slipped behind a few programs. For Notre Dame to seriously get back in it, they’ll have to get him on campus this fall.

As of this moment, there is no known plan for Womack to return to South Bend, but there is plenty of time for the coaching staff to set a visit up.

Notre Dame commit Mark Zackery IV has a 100-yard pick six in opener

A monster play from the Irish commit

It’s always great to see Notre Dame football commits playing well on Friday nights before they start to play the majority of their games on Saturdays.

2025 defensive back commit [autotag]Mark Zackery IV[/autotag] had an unforgettable moment to start his final high school season. The 5-foot, 11-inch, 165-pound corner picked off a pass and raced 100 yards the other way for a score.

The in-state corner committed to the Irish in late May, but Notre Dame would have taken a commitment whenever Zackery was ready. He’s one of the country’s best players, ranking as the No. 135 overall prospect on the 247Sports composite.

This will not be the last time we see Zackery making a big play on defense; he’ll roam the Irish secondary in the near future.

Top 2026 linebacker prospect will visit Notre Dame for big game

Will top linebacker sign with the Irish?

Back in March, Notre Dame football reached out to 2026 North Carolina linebacker [autotag]Thomas Davis Jr[/autotag]., and offered him a scholarship.

The connection between the two continued, and it has materialized into a trip to South Bend for the 6-foot, 2-inch and 205-pound ‘backer. Rivals Sam Spiegelman is reporting that Davis will be making a visit to Notre Dame when they host Florida State on November 9th.

He is also reporting that the nation’s No. 123 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings will also visit NC State when they face off against Tennessee. As a son of a former NFL player, also named Thomas Davis who played at Clemson, it should come as no surprise that the Irish are recruiting him.

We will see the impact of these visits on Davis as time goes by. Expect Notre Dame to roll out the red carpet for the talented linebacker.

Notre Dame offers 2025 USF athlete commit, as it waits for the recruiting dominoes

Is this the first real sign that the Irish aren’t confident about Knight’s commitment?

The [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] saga continues for Notre Dame football. Multiple analysts believe he will flip to either Ole Miss or Auburn.

The Mississippi native has a visit to the Tigers scheduled during the first weekend of the season. At this point, it wouldn’t make much sense for Notre Dame to bank on him staying in the class, so other moves had to be made.

The first sign the Irish aren’t too confident in Knight’s pledge came on Friday, when an offer went out to 2025 Georgia native [autotag]Antavious Richardson[/autotag].

The 6-foot 175-pounder could play at either quarterback or the secondary. He committed to South Florida in June, but North Carolina, Duke and now Notre Dame offered this month. That is plenty for the unranked quarterback to think about, and we will see how serious Richardson is when considering a flip to the Irish.

Top-rated 2025 Michigan guard recruit schedules visit to Notre Dame

Will the Irish get him?

[autotag]Micah Shrewsberry[/autotag] is entering his second season as Notre Dame coach. He’s waiting for the one recruit that really could make an impact. If everything goes right, he might have just found his guy.

Trey McKenney is a four- or five-star recruit depending on which site you look at. According to 247Sports, the Michigan shooting guard is the state’s top-rated player in the 2025 recruiting class. While it’s been known for a while now that he would be visiting the Irish, he finally has set a date with them along with all the other schools he’s visiting:

The fact that McKenney is visiting the Irish last means they’ll have a chance to save the best presentation for last. As of right now, On3 has him most likely to pick Michigan State. A lot can happen over the next few months though, and Irish fans will be anxious to see if it works out for their team.

One national recruiting analyst isn’t panicking over Notre Dame recruiting

Are you panicking?

While it may seem like the sky is falling for Notre Dame football recruiting, see Deuce Knight, that might not be the case.

While speaking on 247Sports’ YouTube channel, Bud Elliott says there shouldn’t be panic when talking about the Irish. While he does believe  Knight will flip to Auburn, he went on to say “Notre Dame has recruited so well at the quarterback position, that I don’t think a full-on panic is justified.”

It’s hard to disagree with his analysis of the situation, and Elliott even predicted who will start at the position for the Irish next season: [autotag]CJ Carr[/autotag].

The depth at the position might be as good as it has been in a very long time. Along with Carr there’s Steve Angeli and Kenny Minchey. All three could get the job done, and that may be the reason Knight is having second thoughts on playing in South Bend.

It’s a good, and bad, problem to have.

Notre Dame football trending to add 2026 legacy wide receiver

The Irish are his in bloodlines

If you follow Notre Dame football recruiting, you have noticed a trend over the last few years: The Irish are going after former players’ sons.

Well, it looks like that will be the case once again if On3’s Mike Singer is correct. On Tuesday night, he logged a prediction for Notre Dame to land 2026 wide receiver [autotag]Trent Mosley[/autotag] of Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

The California native stands 5 feet, 11 inches and weighs 170 pounds. He is the nation’s 138th overall prospect on the 247Sports composite.

His father, [autotag]Emmett Mosley[/autotag], played for the Irish from 1993-1996. His mother, Cindy, was a star soccer player for Notre Dame who won the Hermann Trophy, Honda Sports Award and Honda-Broderick Cup as the country’s top player.

The bloodlines are strong, but the pipeline isn’t necessarily a given. Trent’s older brother, Emmett, signed with Stanford during the 2024 cycle. The younger Mosley hopefully will follow in his parents’ footsteps and star in South Bend.

Auburn insider is latest to believe Deuce Knight is flipping from Notre Dame

The Knight drama continues

Although [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] is still a Notre Dame football commit, it seems more like he’s an uncommitted prospect.

The 2025 Mississippi quarterback will visit Auburn during college football’s first full weekend of games, and Tigers insider Jeffrey Lee is joining in the predictions that he will eventually flip.

If this is the case, it will be a tough one for Irish fans to swallow. Yes, this drama has been going on for some time, but early it just seemed like a rumor with no legs.

Now that Knight is scheduled to see Auburn, it seems like it’s just a matter of time before he flips his commitment to the SEC school.

It’s going to leave Notre Dame in a very bad situation at quarterback for the 2025 class. Virtually all of the top 50 quarterbacks on the 247Sports composite are committed. The only uncommitted prospect in that range is not holding an Irish offer.

Hopefully Knight doesn’t flip, but at this point in time, it seems more a case of when, than if.

Noah Grubbs, Notre Dame’s 2026 QB commit, isn’t going anywhere

Although 2025’s QB is up in the air, the Irish’s 2026 QB is locked in

There is mass panic among Notre Dame football fans, and the main reason is what has transpired with 2025 quarterback commit [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] over the last 24 hours.

On Monday evening, reports started to flood social media that the Irish verbal will make a trip to Auburn before making a final decision. Reportedly, Ole Miss is also in the mix.

This situation seems like a failing relationship, in which the two parties eventually split up. An uneasy feeling for sure, but in the world of recruiting, there is always a “backup plan.”

While Knight and [autotag]Noah Grubbs[/autotag] are in different classes, the Irish still should feel good about their future quarterback situation. The Floridian is locked in. He said so himself late on Monday, responding to a spaces that claimed “He’s (Knight) Gone.”

While Grubbs’ recruiting ranking isn’t quite that of Knight’s, he’s still a great prospect in his own right. He wants to be teammates with Deuce, but he knows that the Irish will be fine either way.

(Note: Grubbs has since deleted to post.)

2026 three-star Michigan running back recruit to visit Notre Dame

Would he intrigue you?

Chances are you haven’t heard of running back recruit [autotag]Jayden Terry[/autotag].

He’s currently the 14th-ranked 2026 recruit in Michigan per 247Sports. He’s only a three-star recruit, but he clearly has interest in Notre Dame.

The interest is so great that the 5-foot, 1-inch and 185-pound back will be visiting campus for the Irish’s home opener against Northern Illinois.

What’s interesting about visiting during this particular weekend is that the Irish will be playing a team from the Mid-American Conference, which is where most of Terry’s current offers are from.

Notre Dame themselves have not extended him an offer yet, but they currently only have two commits in its 2026 class, so maybe he’ll eventually be an option.

Terry is about to play his junior season at Grandville. As a sophomore, he ran for 1,713 yards and 24 touchdowns on 207 carries. He ran for at least 100 yards in eight of his 10 games and also had three receptions for 151 yards and two more touchdowns.
